Abstract

Introduction: Stress in students who undergo clinical practice is still a serious problem because it can have an impact on health and academic achievement. Self-efficacy and academic workload can affect the stress of nursing students. This study aims to identify the relationship between self-efficacy and academic workload and stress of nursing internship.Method: The research method used literature review design. Search journals or articles using a database indexed Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar. Variables that used to search the articles (self efficacy, academic workload, and stress). The framework used to review is PICOS and the inclusion criteria used are English and Indonesian journals with issues from 2015 to 2020. The results of the search for articles before the examination were carried out, there were 385 studies, furthermore, 10 studies that matched the inclusion criteria were reviewed. Narrative analysis and data tabulation of articles or journals is carried out.Results: The results of this study indicate that self-efficacy helps students increase competence so that students can complete assignments and take practical steps in challenging situations so that this can reduce stressors and reduce stress. In addition, stress is also influenced by academic workload, excessive workload can trigger stress. Academic stress that occurs has a negative impact on student competence and academic performance.Conclusion: Self-efficacy helps students reduce stress experienced during clinical practice. Academic workload is the biggest stressor for nursing students who undergo clinical practice.

Abstract

Introduction: The current policy of pandemic caused changes the role of mothers in taking care of her children. However, verbal abuse among school-age children increase during COVID-19 pandemic. This study aimed to explain relationship between work stress level, education, and mother’s income with verbal abuse behavior among school-age children in Surabaya during COVID-19 pandemic.Method: This study used a correlational descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach. The study was conducted on mother who have school-age children. The number of samples was 73 mothers and 73 students of an elementary school aged 10-12 using the total sampling technique. The variables studied include mother’s work stress level, mother’s education, mother’s income, and verbal abuse on children. The instrument used was an online questionnaire (google form). The analysis used a statistical test of Spearman Rho (p ≤ 0,05).Results: The results of the study showed that there was a strong relationship between the mother’s work stress level and verbal abuse behavior among school-age children (p = 0.000; r = 0.559), there was a quite strong relationship between mother’s income and verbal abuse behavior among school-age children (p = 0.007; r = 0.314), while mother’s education not related to verbal abuse behavior among school-age children.Conclusions: Work stress level and mother’s income affect a mother’s belief that showed an intention to behave and finally caused verbal abuse behavior among school-age children.

Abstract

Introduction: Marriage with a spouse who has a mental disorder is not easy. Many couples divorce when married with mental disorder patients because they feel difficulties in their marital relationships, but some of them can maintain it for years. The purpose of this research is to describe family functioning in mental disorders.Method: The design of this study was cross-sectional. The sample was 31 wives of people with mental disorder and they were obtained using an accidental sampling technique. The instrument of this research are Family Assessment Device and The Investment Model Scale then analyzed with Pearson correlation test (α < 0,05).Results: The family functioning in mental disorders who were in the low category are 4 families (12.9%), 21 families (67.7%) are in the sufficient category, and 6 other families (19.4%) are in the high categoryConclusion: Family functioning in mental disorder was not worked effectively in maintaining a balance in the dimensions of problem-solving, communication, family roles, affective responsiveness, affective involvement, and behavior control.

Abstract

Introduction: The high level of depression or life problems among adolescents impacted different coping for each individual intending to overcome the problems that occur. This study aimed to determine the relationship between levels of depression and coping mechanisms of adolescent drug users.Methods: This study was a correlational analytic research with cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. This study's sample was 32 adolescent drug users undergoing rehabilitation at the drug rehabilitation facility Rumah Obit Surabaya. Depression variables was measured used the Beck Depression Inventory questionnaire, and variable coping mechanisms used the Ways of Coping Checklist questionnaire. The data was analyzed using the rho spearmen test.Results: The analysis result showed that coping mechanism had a significant relationship with depression in adolescent drug users with p-value = 0.001 (p <0.05). The adolescent drug users mostly experienced mild depression as many as 25 respondents (78.1) and maladaptive coping mechanism as many as 21 (65.6%).Conclusion: Optimizing socialization to increase knowledge about the impact of drug use on adolescents is needed to prevent depression in adolescent therefore they can use adaptive coping mechanisms in problem solving.

Abstract

Introduction: The stigma that people with ODGJ get from society is also felt by their families, they will feel sad, ashamed, afraid, and feel that they are not free to do many outside activities. The psychological burden felt by the caring family can affect the adequacy of self-efficacy in carrying out daily activities. The purpose of this study is to describe the self-efficacy of families experiencing stigma while caring for people with disorders in Buduran District, Sidoarjo.Method: This type of research design used is a phenomenological method with 15 participants who have family members with ODGJ through purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used was in-depth interview. The data were analyzed using the Colaizi technique.Results: This study resulted in several themes, namely, 1) community stigma, 2) perception of family members, 3) treatment received by family members, 4) selfacceptance of family members, 5) social support, 6) coping mechanisms, 7) patient health conditions, and 8) mental strength of family members. The self-efficacy picture of family members caring for ODGJ sufferers is based on the perceived problem magnitude in the form of community stigma on the magnitude dimension, so that adaptive or maladaptive coping mechanisms are formed on the strength dimension, resulting in a fairly limited range of behavior on the generality dimension, and expectations of family members healing of sufferers and meaning of conditions. This condition can affect the self-efficacy picture of family members who care for people with ODGJ.Conclusion: a family whose relatives as ODGJ sufferers are prone to inadequate selfefficacy due to the patient's abnormal behavior. The family stigma that develops is also felt by the family and becomes a psychological burden.

Abstract

Introduction: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of the role of parent with independence of children with mental retardation during the pendemi in SLB N Waibakul District of Central Sumba.Method: The design of the study using the design of the analytic correlation with cross sectional approach. Study population a total of 40 parents who have children with mental retardation in SLB N Waibakul District of Central Sumba and the research sample as many as 40 respondents with the determination using Total Sampling. Techniques of data collection using the instrument in the form of questionnaires, the role of parents and the questionnaire independence of the child with mental retardation. Data analysis methods in use is the Chi Square test.Results: The results of the research prove the majority of 21 (52,5%) respondents gave the role to children with mental retardation during the pendemi the category of less and most of the 22 (55,0%) children with mental retardation experience the independence of the category of dependence currently. The results of the Chi Square test showed a significant relationship, the role of parents with the independence of children with mental retardation during the pendemi in SLB Waibakul District of Central Sumba obtained p value (0,000) < (0,05). Conclusions: The is a significant relationship the role of parents with the independence of children with mental retardation during the pendemi in SLB  N Waibakul District of Central Sumba.

Abstract

Background: COVID-19 pandemic disrupted in many business sectors and affected negatively the agricultural sector. The objectives of this review are to determine the impact of COVID-19 in the social life, physical and mental of agricultural farmer.Method: This study was a literature review. The population in the study was farmers. The process of review was; identification of literature; screening questions; eligibility using inclusion criteria; and assessment of the quality of the studies. This review was conducted by identify relevant literature, in Science Direct, PubMed, Scopus and Google Scholar using the following keywords: "Covid-19” OR "Pandemic” combined with "farmer” "farmworker” "agricultural worker”. Articles found then be charted and analysis.Result: This review found 10 articles. The finding of this review showed that COVID 19 has impacted directly on the farmer's life both on social life, physical and mental health.Conclusion: This finding showed that farmers problems should be addressed to prevent long-term negative consequences that impair the food system and enlarge current inequalities. Also, it should be developed and implemented the appropriate community-based mental health programs targeting farmers who impacted by pandemic and who are at risk to develop adverse mental health outcomes.

Abstract

Introduction: Autism is a disruption verbal, nonverbal, and social interaction growth in children. Children with autism spectrum disorder have a different parenting program with normal children. A mother who has autism spectrum disorder children need for more space up her time to treat their children right, and sometimes they will have their stress moments because of what they think about their autism spectrum disorder children. This study aims to explain the interventions to enhace the coping of parents of children with autism.Method: The literature was searched using electronic database: Scopus, CINAHL, Science Direct, Sage, Google Schoolar with inclusion criteria include: parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, articles published in 2011-2021 using experimental studies in English and Indonesian. Ten articles obtained for review.Result: Ten articels that fulfill a searching requirement and chosen to be analyzed. From ten articels there are divided into two interventions on it, Cognitive Based Intervention wich are Parent Education Program, Coping Effectiveness Training, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, Problem-Solving Skills Training, and Psychological Based Intervention wich are Virtual Resilience Intervention.Conclusion: This research shows that some interventions or programs that have been examined effectively can increase coping at parents who has autism spectrum disorder children. The intervention that is considered the most effective and often used is the parent education program.

Abstract

Introduction: Victims of bullying teenager gets pressure that can lead to decrease selfesteem and emotional management skills. The aimed of this study is to know the relationship between self-esteem with the ability of emotional management in victims of bullying teenager at Sunan Giri junior high school Malang. Method: The research design used a correlational descriptive design with a cross sectional approach. The research population was 155 students in junior high school Sunan Giri Malang and 112 students was obtained by with simple Random Sampling. The independent variable in this study was self-esteem and dependent variable in this study was the ability to manage emotions. The data were collected by Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale and Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ) self-esteem Questionnaires and then analyzed by the Fisher's Exact test. Results: The results showed 69 (61.6%) respondents have low self-esteem and 65 (58.0%) respondents have negative category emotion management skills in victims of bullying teenajer. The results of the Fisher's Exact test showed there was a relationship between self esteem and the ability of emotional management in victims of bullying teenager in junior high school Sunan giri Malang (p = 0.000). Conclusions: There is a relationship between with self-esteem the ability of emotional management in victims of bullying teenager in Sunan giri junior high school Malang. For further research expected to examine other factors that cause self-esteem and emotional management skills such as physical conditions, parenting patterns and social classes.

Abstract

Introduction: Self control is important to control the use of smartphones to suit their needs. Low self control is one of the factors that cause nomophobia in smartphone users. The purpose of this study was to gain an understanding of the self-control of adolescents with nomophobia.Method: This study used a qualitative design with a phenomenological descriptive method through in-depth interviews. There were 15 participants with nomophobia, selected using purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using Colaizzi analysis. Results: This study identified 12 themes. Self-control of adolescents with nomophobia is influenced by the use of smartphones which raises the theme of reasons for using smartphones, conditions that cause smartphone use, the use of smartphones in life, and various features used on smartphones. Low self control causes adolescent to have difficulty controlling the stimulus to always use a smartphone and trigger nomophobia which is described through the theme of the response of nomophobia, the aspect of nomophobia, and the impact of nomophobia. After experiencing nomophobia, adolescents do self-control to control the impact of smartphone use which raises the theme of self-control efforts, parental control, and the aspects of self-control. Adolescent self-control is influenced by sources and barriers that raise the theme of the sources of self- control and the barriers of self-control.Conclusions: Adolescents with nomophobia have low self-control in using smartphones and controlling self-responses when there is no smartphone. Therefore, adolescent self-awareness and the role of parents are needed to increase self-control to prevent nomophobia and the negative impact of excessive smartphone use.
