Abstract

Kersen fruit (Muntingia calabura L) is a fruit is existence found in everywhere, but generally nothing interest for consumtion almost people. In a kersen fruit contained many nutriet, aim from the study that is determine carbohydrate, vitamin C, β-caroten, and Fe levels in kersen fruit in the gain at Air Louw Village, Nusaniwe Sub-district, Ambon City. In this study analize sample using spectrophotometry UV-Vis with wavelength carbohydrate 486 nm, vitamin C 273 nm, β-caroten 473 nm and Fe 474 nm and using technique calibration curve. Analyze result is showed that carbohydrate level by 343,393 mg/100 g, vitamin C level by 178,96 mg/100 g, β-caroten level by 1,4831 mg/100 g, and Fe levels by 0,1025 mg/100 g. Based result study can conclusion if kersen fruit can be consumption as food material because having nutrient contet enough for human’s body

Abstract

This study aimed to determine phytochemical tests and antioxidant activity of fruit and peel extract of pisang jarum. Sample was extracted with 80% of ethanol, methanol, and acetone using reflux method. The result showed that pisang jarum extract contains phenols, flavonoids, and terpenoids, whereas peel extract contains phenols, flavonoids, terpenoids, alkaloids, and saponins. The total phenol content (TPC) of pisang jarum is 0.0250-0.0316 mg PE/g extract and peel is 0,1756-0,2679 mg PE/g extract. The total flavonoid content (TFC) of pisang jarum is 0.8412-1.4466 mg QE/g extract and peel is 3.2128-5.1073 mg QE/g extract. The antioxidant activity of extract were analyze by DPPH free radical scavenging activity. The antioxidant activities (IC50) of pisang jarum is 1092.92-3871.24 ppm and peel is 310.08-558.07 ppm, so it is classified as a weak antioxidant

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes of students of SMK Negeri 6 Ambon by using the NHT coopertive learning model (Numbered Heads Together) with Flash Player media. The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of learning outcomes in the chemical bonding material learning by using the NHT learning model on class X TI-2. This research was conducted with a study sample of 27 students in class X TI-2. Data collection is done by using test instruments and LKPD. The results of data analysis showed that the learning outcomes of class X TI-2 students achieved different qualifications, namely very good qualifications 1 (3.70%). Good 10 (37.04%), Sufficient 10 (37.04%), less 6 (22.22%). The N-gain achievement data obtained were 18 students (66.67%) in the high category and 9 students (33.33%) in the moderate gain category, overall the average n-gain value was 0.71 meant in the high category. Thus the NHT type cooperative learning model can help improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

One of the leaves that can be consumed to fill nutritional need for people’s is kecipir leaves (Phosphocarpus tetragonolobus L). This leave contains minerals among them caloium, potassium and phosphorus but the level is calcium potassium and phosphorus at kecipir not yet know. Therefor this study was making conduoted to find out level of caloium, potassium and phosphorus in kecipir leave at two different location that is Urimesing village and Eti village. Calcium and potassium levels are analyzed SSA while phosphorus levels are analyzed UV-VIS analysis result indicate calcium, potassium, phosphorus level in kecipir leaves at urimeseng village is 904,25 mg/100g, is 100,46 mg/100g and calcium potassium, phosphorus levels in kecipir leave at Eti village is 1.162,59 mg/100g and 190,498 mg/100g. based on these result obtained calcium, potassium and phosphorus levels with different values from each sampling location. This happened because of geographic location, soil structure and water content greatly affect the levels of calcium, potassium, and phosphorus.

Abstract

Leachate is a liquid arising from the decomposition of waste that has decayed due to the flow of external water into the landfill. Leachate can be toxic. generally, leachate contains several high inorganic metals, including lead. Lead is one type of heavy metal that has a high toxicity. This study aims to determine the initial concentration of lead (Pb) in leachate and the percent efficiency of polyaluminium chloride (PAC) coagulant in reducing lead levels in IPST Toisapu, Ambon City. Lead content was analyzed by coagulation using an atomic absorption spechtrophotometer (AAS). Coagulation is a chemichal process used to remove particles that can cause environmental pollution. The coagulant used is a polyaluminium chloride coagulant. The results of the analysis showed that the initial lead concentration at IPST Toisapu was 2.7670mg/L and the percentage of PAC coagulant efficiency was 500, 600, 700, 800 and 1000 mg/L respectively 61,59%; 69,92%; 73,55%; 77,17% and 84,79%. The results showed that PAC coagulant was effective in reducing lead levels in leachate.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know thestudent learningoutcomes of grade X SMA KARTIKA XIII-1 AMBON as well as knowing there is a difference whether or not the results of student learning using cooperative type Team Games Tournament(TGT) with type Make a Match as the learning model.This research is the comparison research which the sample consists of two classes, the class was given further study of chemistry at the consept of moles materials, first classexperiment (X-1) using the cooperative type Team Games Tournament(TGT) and in secondclass experiment (X-2) using the cooperative type Make a Match as the learning model. Based on the results of the study gained note that both models of learning that can enhance the learning outcomes of students, it can be seen from the success of the qualifications obtained from both the class when there has same qualification of 75% of students are on completed qualifying, 25% of students are on failed qualifying, with average from X-1 class used Type TGT is 66.125 and X-2 class used Type Make a Match is 57.3125. Hypothesis test data derived from posttest both class indicates the value significance of 0.25 (> 0.05) this a value of H0received and value of H1 rejected so it can be concluded there is no difference in student learning outcomes are either the cooperative type Team Games Tournament (TGT)and type Make a Match as the learning model.

Abstract

Adsorption study of the adsorption of heavy metal ions from Fe (III) using sago dregs waste was carried out. adsorption was carried out in batches, with the mass of adsorbent is 1 g and the concentration of Fe (III) ion is 10 ppm. in this study variations in contact time were 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180 minutes to determine the kinetic suitable for the adsorption process of ion Fe (III) and the capacity and efficiency of sago dregs adsorption. The results showed that the adsorption of ion fe (III) using sago dregs followed pseudo second-order kinetics with R2 values that were closer to 1 that is 0,9651. adsorption of ion Fe (III) at optimum contact time of 90 minutes with adsorbent mass of 1 g obtained by adsorption capacity 0,3211 mg/g and the adsorption efficiency is 64,2%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the compounds contained in moringa leaf methanol extract by phytochemical test, values of antioxidant activity and application for coconut oil to determine peroxide value, acid value and moisture content based on oil quality according to SNI 01-374-2013. Result of phytochemical test show that Moringa leaf methanol extract contains of alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tannin, terpenoid and fenolik compoundsnm. Test of antioxidant activity with DPPH and measured with a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at wavelength 517 nm. Moringa leaf methanol extract has an IC50 value of 61,625% so that it is classified as strong antioxidant. The addition of moringa leaf methanol extract 5% on coconut oil after heating at time variation 15, 30, and 40 minutes showed oil quality is better than without addition of extract with peroxide value ((1,1716, 3,8378 and 6,6043 Meq/kg), acid value (0,4700, 0,5869 and 0,7024 KOH/g), and moisture content at 1% extract concentration (0,1978, 0,1290 and 0,0896 %).

Abstract

Comparative study of learning media of mysterious card box with the media of snake ladder on the material of atomic structure to the result of study of class X student of SMA N 5 AMBON. The mysterious card learning media box is applied to the X class MIA1 and the ladder snake media in the X class of MIA3. From the results, the mysterious card learning media box can improve student learning outcomes, seen from the presentation of the achievement of the final test results obtained by the two classes, where the two classes have a presentation of different final result qualification ie qualification completed for class X-MIA1 which uses the mysterious card box learning medium is 100%, and no qualifying fails with an average rating of 85.68. But for the class X-MIA3 using the learning media of snake ladder with qualified thoroughly is 51.51% and qualification failed 48.49% with an average value of 72.95, therefore Mann Whitney test results using SPSS 20 obtained a significance value of 0.002 (> 0.05 ) thus H0 is rejected and H1 is received so it can be concluded that there are differences in student learning outcomes using the mysterious box learning media and learning media snake ladder

Abstract

Heavy metal pollution is a serious problem to environment in this time. Mercury is a dangerous wastes that make desecrate environment. So the restoration have to do to make a contaminated soil can reuse safety through fitoremediation process using Kersen. This study to analyze the reductions of heavy metal (Hg) in soil after fitoremediation process. The result of this study was showing that connections between degree reductions of heavy metal (Hg) in soil and adsorptions of Mercury (Hg) in Kersen that is concentration mercury in soil more high reductions than in the soil will following of higher Mercury concentrations in Kersen, in this study showing that adsorptions of Kersen in week – 1 after mercury treatment on a sample is in soil 6,80 ppm, root 1,14 ppm, leaf 0,86 ppm in week - 2 for soil sample is 7,31 ppm, root 3,73 ppm, leaf 4,64 ppm and for the last week in soil is 7,98 ppm, root 0,07ppm and leaf is 0,78 ppm. From that result showing Kersen (Muntingia Calabura L) is a accumulator plant and this plant can using for hyperaccumulation because the value of BCF and TF in day 14 or week – 2 is > 1.
