Abstract

Aspects of Critical Thinking in Review Texts in Class VII Indonesian Language Textbooks. This study aims to describe the critical thinking aspects of interpretation, analysis, evaluation, explanation, proceed to review text reviews in Indonesian language textbooks for class VIII. This study uses a qualitative research type. The data in this study were sourced from Indonesian language textbooks for class VIII SMP. The data collection technique in this study was carried out in two stages, namely: reading carefully the review text and analyzing the review text related to the data included in the required categories. The results of the study reveal. The forms of critical thinking aspects in interpretation are: experiences, situations, events, information. The forms of critical thinking aspects in the analysis are: statements, concepts, descriptions, information. The forms of critical thinking aspects in evaluation are: ideas, situations, mandates. The form of critical thinking aspects at the conclusion are: concepts. The form of the critical thinking aspect of the explanation is: retelling. The form of critical thinking aspects to strengthen oneself, namely: correction.

Abstract

Learning Meaning Learning in Tale Texts in Class X SMA. The purpose of this study was to implement learning to identify meaning in saga texts carried out by teachers and students in class X IPA 1 SMA Negeri 1 Toraja Utara. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data used are learning data by teachers, data on the implementation of learning by teachers and students, learning the meaning of saga texts by students. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through three steps, namely documentation, observation, and interviews. The results showed that the implementation of learning to identify meaning in saga texts was carried out by: (1) preparing a Lesson Plan, and (2) the teacher using authentic assessment techniques, namely the assessment used to assess the domains of attitudes, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

The Interpersonal Meaning of Deixis in the Novel Notes Juang by Fiersa Besari. This study aims to identify and describe the deixis contained in the novel Notes Juang by Fiersa Besari. This research is a qualitative research. The data in this study are in the form of words and phrases. The data source of this research is the novel Notes Juang by Fiersa Besari published by mediakita in 2017. In this study, the researcher first reads the novel that was used as the data source and then recorded and classified the data according to the problem formulation and theory used. The results of the study stated that the novel Notes Juang by Fiersa Besari contains three types of deixis, including person deixis, place/space deixis, and time deixis. The three types of deixis are further divided into several forms based on the object or referent. This research is dominated by persona deixis because the story line basically tells a character who is often referred to as "I" who then interacts with other characters so that language events occur.

Abstract

Student Perceptions of the Use of the SYAM-OK Application. The purpose of this study was to describe the perceptions of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program towards the use of the SYAM-OK application. This research is quantitative descriptive. The method used in this study is a survey method with data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Research data obtained from respondents' answers via Google Form. The results of the accumulation state that in terms of perceived ease of use, respondents' answers are in the "appropriate" category with a percentage of 78% choosing the statement "agree". On the perception of usefulness, respondents' answers are in the "adequate" category with a percentage of 83% choosing the "agree" statement. While on the acceptance of acceptance, the respondent's answer is in the "very feasible" category with a proportion of 100% choosing "agree". It can be said that SYAM-OK is suitable for use in the learning process of students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education study program.

Abstract

The Effect of the Moot Court Method on the Debate Learning Outcomes of Class X SMAN 5 Selayar. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of moot court on student debate learning outcomes. This type of research is a type of quantitative research. The method in this study the author uses the experimental method. The population of this research is all students of Class X SMAN 5 Selayar which consists of 67 students and is divided into 4 classes. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. The class that was chosen as the sample was class X IPA with 18 students. The data collection technique used in this research is a test technique which includes pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The data analysis technique in this research is quantitative data analysis in the form of statistical analysis. The result of this research is that the moot court method has a significant effect on the debate learning outcomes of the tenth graders of SMAN 5 Selayar.

Abstract

Patterns of Language Retention in the Family Realm Based on Language Events and Gender Categories. This study aims to describe the form and pattern of Bugis language maintenance in Donggala Regency based on gender and the level of Bugis language maintenance between men and women in Donggala Regency. This study uses a sociolinguistic approach with questionnaire, interview, observation, and observation techniques. Furthermore, based on the analysis of the proportion of language defense patterns based on gender. The results of the analysis show that the pattern of language selection between men and women by the Bugis ethnicity in Donggala Regency is different. The pattern of using Bugis language by men is higher than the pattern of maintaining the use of Bugis language by women. The results showed that the level of maintenance of the male Bugis language was higher than the level of maintenance of the female Bugis language.
