Abstract

Nurses are one of important human resources in a hospital and are one of the keys to the successful implementation of services in the hospital. Providing opportunities in the form of career development is very important for the hospital to organize. The purpose of this study was to analyze the gap between the level of importance and implementation of career development at the UKI hospital in terms of the management and nurse executives perceptions. This research is a quantitative and qualitative research. The results of the study found that the negative average gap (-0.09) between the level of importance and implementation in terms of management and nurse perceptions was low. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the gap between the level of importance and implementation at the UKI Hospital judging from the management and nurses perception was still in the fair category. The research result can be used as material for reference and the study in the field of nursing science, particularly in the field of nursing management related to perceptions of career development with the quality of hospital services.

Abstract

Chronic wounds are often associated with slow healing time, patients with chronic wounds will have an impact on physiological, psychological, social and financial burdens. The pandemic situation encourages the use of telehealth for wound care, so it is important to analyze it. To explore the experiences of patients with chronic wounds and receiving telehealth care. Materials and Methods: This research method is a meta-analysis with a qualitative approach. An article search was conducted on Google Scholar and Science Direct, entering the keywords "chronic wound patient experience with Telehealth" OR "telehealth wound care" and the second keyword entering the words "chronic wound experience", AND "telehealth wound care" AND "research qualitative" AND "chronic wound care experience with Telehealth". Found 1,085 articles from 2010-2020, then filtered according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria by referring to the prism protocol, so that 10 articles were extracted. This meta-analysis identified four overarching themes with 13 sub-themes. The four are wound knowledge, wound care technology, telehealth benefits, management systems. The use of telehealth in chronic wound care needs to pay attention to the four identified themes, to be able to provide wound care according to patient care needs

Abstract

Caesarean Section is the most common obstetric surgery performed today. CS delivery without medical indication increases the risk of maternal morbidity and mortality 3-5 times higher than vaginal delivery techniques. The increased risk of morbidity and mortality in CS delivery is due to complications caused, during intraoperative or postoperative. Lampung Province is one of the provinces with the highest MMR value in Indonesia (148 per 100,000 live births) with a CS birth selection of 13.18%. The aim of this research is to analyze the characteristics of factors associated with maternal morbidity and mortality in CS delivery. Both morbidity groups characteristics (case and control) show correlations were found between maternal age (p<0.02), obstetric complication (p<0.01), education (p<0.02) and the incidence of maternal deaths. Meanwhile, parity and delivery complication variables did not show significant. correlations to maternal deaths (p>0.05). Both mortality groups characteristics (case and control) show correlations were found between maternal age (p<0.02), obstetric complication (p<0.05), education (p<0.03), delivery complication (p<0.04) and the incidence of maternal deaths. Meanwhile, maternal age and parity variables did not show significant. corelations to maternal deaths (p>0.05).

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that causes various complications, one of which is diabetic ulcers. This requires maximum management and compliance of DM patients. Activity compliance is one of the factors that influence the incidence of diabetic ulcers. This study is a correlation study that aims to determine the relationship between the activity compliance of diabetes mellitus patients with the incidence of diabetic ulcers. The research method used is a cross sectional study. The sampling method used consecutive sampling technique with a total sample of 22 samples. The research site was conducted in five wound care clinics spread across the district of Yogyakarta Province. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the highest age is 56-65 years (50%), the highest level of education is at the junior high and high school levels (27.3%), the most type of work is self-employed (40.9%), the most type of DM is DM type 2 (68.2%), the duration of suffering 10-15 years (50%), the highest degree of ulcer was grade 1 (45.5%), and as many as 77.3% patients were not obedient in carrying out physical activities. Based on the results of the correlation test, it is known that activity compliance is not associated with the incidence of diabetic ulcers (p value>0.05). Activity compliance is not associated with diabetic ulcers.

Abstract

Drugs, traditional medicines and cosmetics, are declared halal if they already include halal labels on their package. Halal labeling on drugs must pass the procedures that are in compliance with halal product guarantee law. This objective of this study is to identify the perception of the academic community of STIKES Notokusumo towards the purchase of drugs that include halal labels. This study is a descriptive study with a simple random sampling and obtained by 102 respondents. The data retrieval obtained using the questionnaire and statistic analyzed. The majority of the academic community of STIKES Notokusumo has known the drug products consumed can be seen through halal labels on drug packaging. The majority of the academic community also agrees that all halal-labeled drug and food products must be in compliance with the law and only certain institutions are able to issue halal label certification, and the products certified halal by the Indonesian Ulema Council will be guaranteed halal.

Abstract

The emergence of a new Coronavirus Disease 2019-2022 has turned the globe down and disrupted main determinants of health. The world constitutes by more than 2.2 billion children, which is approximately 28% of the world's population. Compare to adult, this pandemic has a long -term adverse consequences among children and adolescents. The objective of this literature review was to examine the impact of COVID-19 pandemic on children and adolescent’s mental health. PubMed and Google Scholar databases were searched from 07 April 2021 to 22 April 2021. A systematic literature search was performed in accordance with PRISMA and 07 literatures were selected. Among 16,169 samples, the mean percentage of male was higher 5 by 6.11% than female of 43.89%. Depression was mentioned in three studies and the percentages were 43.7% (n=8079), 22.6% (n=2330), and 22.8% (n=3613). Anxiety was mentioned in four studies and the percentages were 37.4% (n=8079), 18.9% (n=2330), and 23.87 ± 15.79 and 29.27 ± 19.79 (n=3613) and in one study according to CAQ and NRS, the level of anxiety was 19.4% and 21.8%. The combination of anxiety and depression was 31.3%. One study mentioned that pro social behaviour score was higher in females than males. In other two studies, various psychological symptoms are mentioned such as worry, fear, helplessness, boredom, difficulty in concentration, irritability, restlessness, nervousness, feeling of loneliness and uneasiness. These psychological symptoms have long-term effect on child’s health. Therefore, as a nurse, we should take care of the child and aware that the child and their parents regarding various psychological problems and its management.

Abstract

In general, bullying has negative effects on victims, including increased anxiety, decreased self-esteem, self-distrust and depression. These things will affect to the concentration of student learning which ultimately leads to decrease learning achievement and more risk of suicide in adolescents. Therefore, developing the resilience of youth victims of bullying is needed to provide therapeutic coping to avoid these adverse effects. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Spiritual-based psychoeducation therapy on the Level of Resilience of Youth Victims of Bullying. This is quasy experimental pre-post test research with total sampling. The sample is high school students who have experienced bullying in the past month, are physically healthy, and have no disabilities. The sample of this study was 50 and has been divided into two groups, namely the intervention group and the control group. This research used questionnaire’s ability of resilience in adolescents by Gail M wagnild and Heather M. Young. The results showed a significant effect of psychoeducation spiritual therapy on the level of adolescent resilience (p-value is 0.000 by Kolmogorov Smirnov). Schools need to consider this therapy as a choice to be applied to student victims of bullying.

Abstract

Self-care deficit is most of problem in psychiatric nursing diagnoses that characterized by decreased ability to perform activities consisting of bathing, dressing, decorating, eating, toileting or personal hygiene independently. One of the efforts that can be done to reduce this problem is behavioral therapy: Token Economy. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of behavioral therapy: Token Economy on self-care of mental patients with self-care deficits at the Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province. This type of research is quantitative with a quasi-experimental design. The sample in this study was 25 people who were patients with self-care deficits that diagnosed by data from Sebayang Ward Tampan Mental Hospital, Riau Province . The sampling technique is accidental sampling. Data was proceeded by computerized univariate and bivariate analysis. Statistical test using Wilcoxon test after the previous normality test. The results showed that there was a decrease in the level of dependence on self-care. The Z value shows the effect of behavioral therapy: token economy after and before the intervention of -4,414. From the results of the statistical test, it was found that the alpha value (p < 0.05), means that there is a significant effect before and after behavioral therapy: the token economy.

Abstract

Depression in breast cancer patients includes mental shock, inability to accept reality, hopelessness, fear of death, and fear of the future. Depression creates long periods of sadness and worry, usually accompanied by feelings of worthlessness. Fatigue is a symptom that often appears in cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Associated with the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, cancer patients have an increased risk of transmitting COVID-19 because they have decreased endurance. This study aims to determine the relationship between depression and fatigue in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy at Hospital Sultan Agung Semarang Indonesia. The instruments used in this study were questionnaire of the hospitals anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) and questionnaire of fatigue, 30 female respondents who suffer from breast cancer and have undergone chemotherapy. Rank Spearman data analysis. P value = 0.000 and correlation coefficient value r = 0.671. There is a relationship between depression and fatigue in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy which has an impact on adherence to chemotherapy for breast cancer patients. The higher the level of depression is, the more severe the level of fatigue in cancer patients.

Abstract

The hospital is the health service structure that plays the most prominent role with the Covid-19 pandemic.The nursing profession is still required to provide quality nursing care to Covid-19 patients, as well as to other patients so that the provision of nursing care must be in accordance with the procedures and management of patients with infectious diseases accurately and correctly and use Personal Protection Equipment in accordance with standard. Infection prevention and control during the pandemic is very important for patients and health workers to minimize the occurrence of nosocomial infections during hospital care. This review aims to determine the development of infection prevention and control program in the provision of nursing care during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method with a review was carried out by searching for articles related to patient safety in providing Covid-19 nursing care. Literatures search were carried out in December 2020 - January 2021 through PubMed, Sciencedirec, google scholar, government policy then entered the online database list by entering keywords, namely patient safety, nursing care, Covid-19. Selected journals were based on inclusion and exclusion criteria through a critical assessment process with CASP to assess the quality of articles. The results of the critical appraisal obtained six articles that match the inclusion criteria with a minimum appraisal score of 85 in good categories which are then carried out by analysts. The results of the research by reviewing 6 articles show that prevention and control of patients safety in providing nursing care during a pandemic can be developed through nursing care management by using summarized checklists, patient safety-based nursing care service system, infection prevention and control during the pandemic and inclusive leadership. Nursing care management, patient safety, infection prevention and control and an inclusive leadership style are the development methods that can be used for the prevention and control of Covid-19.
