Abstract

This research described about speed control of three-phase AC induction motor use space vector method and Proportional Integral (PI) controller. To determine the parameters of PI controller used Tuning Charts for PI Feedback Controllers. Measurement of motor speed used dc motor 12 volts functioned as a generator connected by Op-Amp circuit. Output Voltage Op-Amp interfaced to ADC Microcontroller as signal feedback from actual speed of triphase AC induction motor. Then in empiric is searched transfer function of the motor to determine value of the Kp (proportional gain), Ki (integral gain), θ (dead time), and τ (time constant). Testing system is done for set point maneuver from 480 rpm to 1,080 rpm, and then from 1,200 rpm to 480 rpm. Based on the result of research indicates that control system PI for speed of triphase AC motor can be controlled to reach stable condition, if maneuver set point under specifi  cation of nominal speed performance of three phasa AC induction motor for 900 rpm.

Abstract

Pedestrians have a high risk to be hit by motor vehicle when they crossed the street, thus the choose ofappropriate cross facilities are very important. An alternative for choosing cross facilities are by using the CriticalGap method. This method is used to measure the possibility of crossing the street safely. This study was startedby gathering primary data for 4 hours at the traffic peak hours. From the calculation, the case of DharmawangsaStreet, Surabaya, showed that the critical gap is about 3,55 seconds. The observation from 07.00-11.00 a.m.showed that the possibilities of crossing the road respectively are: 45, 55, 56, and 60. Compared to the numberpedestrians crossing the road, the research showed about 71, 24, 33, and 49 peoples. In this case, the possibility ofcrossing the street at 07.00-08.00 a.m. cannot be fulfilled. Meanwhile, the possibility to cross the street with safelyat 08.00-11.00 a.m. can be fulfilled. Therefore, the use of midblock crosses is still relevant.

Abstract

GPS is used increasingly and commonly in the last past year in all aspect of live. But the height information in GPS is not the actual height. To convert it to actual height is needed geoid undulation. Geoid has three wavelengthsi.e. short, medium and long. From these three geoids, the long wavelength which is obtained from the global model is the important one to determinant the geoid. In 2008 Pavlis NK from NGA had established the global model (EGM2008) which has orde and degree of 2190. This global model was validated and is used to calculate the geoid undulation in Sulawesi. EGM2008 Validation was carried out with comparation between the geoid undulation of EGM2008 and EGM1996 with the geoid undulation from GPS-Leveling’s observation data. The result of this validation shows that EGM2008 in Sulawesi has better results compare with EGM1996. The standard deviation of EGM2008 is 0.88 cm better than EGM1996.

Abstract

The focus of this research is to determine the effect of fiscal stimulus policy of infrastructure to the economyof Indonesia. Research method used is Social Accounting Matrix (SAM). The simulation result indicates that fiscalstimulus policy of infrastructure has a positive effect to the revenue growth of production factors, households, and production activities. Fiscal stimulus also affect the growth of other sectors outside the infrastructure sector, including mining and quarrying, forestry, and timber industry. Based on a structural path analysis it can beconcluded that the global effect of the infrastructure sector to household is carried out through the productionfactors labour and capital.

Abstract

Palm oil mill effluent (POME) is palm oil industry wastewater with high solid content. Waste filtration using chitosan membrane has been investigated to decrease the solid waste, but the final value does not meet the quality standards. Therefore, further development on formulation and optimization of the membrane manufacturing process (composition and stirring speed) are needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of composition and stiring speed on the performance of the membrane in decreasing solid content of POME. Chitosan membrane was prepared by phase inversion method with two supporting materials, namely Poly Ethylene Glycol (PEG) and Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA). The variables of this experiment were Chitosan:PVA ratio (40:60, 45:55, 50:50, 55:45 and 60:40 (v/v)) and stiring speed (200 rpm and 250 rpm). Chitosan composite membrane was tested in a cross flow reactor system. The result showed that the highest rejection values of TSS and TDS generated by the membrane on the chitosan and PVA ratio of 50:50 (v: v) at agitation speed of 250 rpm were 96.84% and 97.23%, respectively.

Abstract

Namalycastis (Polychaetes: Nereididae) lives in estuarine that can be used as polluted bioindicators. Morphological abnormalities in some Polychaeta members have been found previously, whereas the abnormality Namalycastis from Indonesia has never been recorded. The aim of this research was to study the abnormality morphology of Namalycastis form Jakarta Bay (polluted sediment) and estuary Way Belau-Lampung (unpolluted sediment). There were two species of Namalycastis in both locations, i.e. N. abiuma and N. cf borealis. The abnormality of Namalycastis collection from both locations consist of five structures i.e. on antenna appendages, eyes, tentacular cirri, parapodia, and setae. The abnormality of Namalycastis collection from Jakarta Bay was higher than from Way Belau. The abnormality of parapodia and setae in this research might had resulted from the influence of polluted habitat conditions.
