Abstract

The aim of this study was to investigate the influences of college sports activities on developing purpose of college students. The main objectives of this study is to identify the influences of college sports activities on developing purpose of college students and to compare the influences of individual and team sports activities on developing purpose of college student. The population of the study consisted of all students N= 749 participating in sports activities at college level in Bannu Division, while sample of the study consisted of students n= 150 at college level in Bannu Division. Influences of sports activities on developing purpose of college students were measured by self-developed questionnaires. SPSS-26 was used for data analysis. Multiple regressions was used to measure the influences of sports activities on developing purpose of college student, t-tests were used to identify significant differences between the influences of individual and team games on developing purpose of college student. This study showed that students develop their purpose of life in college and sports activities provide a dynamic environment in this regard. Statistically significant evidence is found from the data that students developed an academics purpose along with life purpose during college sports activities more significantly.

Abstract

Ability Self-regulated learning and independent learning are needed for humans throughout their life. However, the students of SMP Sunan Ampel Porong do not yet have optimal learning independence. the study aims to improve self-regulated learning and increase the learning independence of Sunan Ampel Porong Junior High School students in online learning situations during the Covid-19, through the application of Self-Regulated Learning. This research uses experimental research, the method used is quasi-experimental research design with non-equivalent control group design. The research sample consisted of sixty-nine students of SMP Sunan Ampel Porong with two classes, the experimental class, and the control class. Data on self-regulated learning and learning independence of students were collected using observation, interviews, questionnaires, and document scrutiny techniques guidance instruments self-regulated learning. Furthermore, the data were analyzed quantitatively. Based on the post-test t-test of the ability Self Regulated Learning, it is known that the average learning outcomes of the experimental class are greater than that of the control class. From the table, it is known that the value of t count > t table. achievement scores' self-regulated learning in the experimental class and the control class. While the post-test t-test of learning independence of the experimental class is known to have an average learning outcome of the experimental class is greater than that of the control class. From the table, it is known that the value of t count > t table. It can be concluded that there are significant differences in the scores of students' independent learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concepts of physics in electric scooters, solar panel street lights, and water heaters as physics teaching materials. The research method used in this research is a qualitative method with literature study. Data collection techniques in this study consisted of observation and documentation. Observation is done by observing directly and then documented. The data analysis technique used is to perform data reduction and then draw conclusions. The results obtained are the concepts related to scooters, solar panel street lights, and water heaters are the principles of energy conversion, direct electricity, and heat. In an electric scooter, energy conversion occurs from electrical energy into motion energy, a solar panel street light converts solar energy into electrical energy, and a water heater converts electrical energy into heat energy. That way, it can be an alternative teaching material in learning with concrete examples in the surrounding environment. So that it can make the learning process more meaningful.

Abstract

Physics learning that seems boring makes physics lessons more fun if packaged in the form of games and combined with physics concepts. The purpose of this research is to find out the rides on Atlantis Island Surabaya that use the application of physics concepts. This research used a descriptive method with descriptive analysis. Data was collected by making direct observations or observations on the rides at Atlantis Island Surabaya and linking them to physics concepts. The results showed that several rides at Atlantis Island Surabaya use physics concepts in their performance, including power surge, dark coaster, wave swinger, globe of death, viking, and spilled bucket. The rides use physics concepts such as circular motion, rotational motion, kinematic motion, parabolic motion, action-reaction, centrifugal force, centripetal force, potential energy, kinetic energy, and discharge.

Abstract

Detective Conan is an animated film genre originating from Japan. This study aims to analyze the concept of physics in several episodes in the film Detective Conan. The concept of physics in this film is contained in the phenomena that occur in it, so it is interesting to study. The type of research method used is the type of descriptive method. The research was carried out in the form of direct observation methods, namely watching animated episodes as well as data collection, literature studies and analysis of physics concepts to describe existing phenomena. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that Detective Conan is a Japanese animated action genre film with the concept of the main character acting as a detective and is required to be able to solve all crime cases and puzzles so that they can be solved. Some of the physics concepts found in several episodes of Detective Conan are about Archimedes' law, Boyle's law, about temperature, perfect internal reflection, uniformly changing rectilinear motion and uniformly rectilinear motion, tyndall effect, electricity, dynamic electricity and up to parabolic motion. The study of the film Detective Conan is expected to be able to increase students' interest and abilities in learning physics. regarding temperature, perfect internal reflection, uniformly changing rectilinear motion and uniformly rectilinear motion, the Tyndall effect, electricity, dynamic electricity and up to parabolic motion.
