Abstract

This research and development aims to develop learning media that can provide new learning resources to students, support the learning process of theory and practicum, overcome material that students find difficult, create an independent atmosphere in learning, and increase student interest in learning. This research and development methodology uses the R&D (Research & Development) method with the 5D development model developed by Pranata in 2009, which has five complex stages, namely: (1) define, (2) data collection, (3) design, (4) develop, and (5) disseminate. This learning media was tested by media experts, material experts, and users who are undergraduate students of Informatics Engineering Education who have taken data communication and computer network courses at the State University of Malang. This research and development produce quantitative and qualitative data using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and distributing questionnaires. The results of this research and development can be concluded that: (1) the validity and reliability test of the instrument as many as 30 question items have a value of r count> from r table, which can be declared valid and obtain a reliability value of 0.948 with a reliable or powerful instrument category, (2) media experts obtained a total score of 86 per cent with very valid assessment criteria, (3) material experts obtained a total score of 96 per cent with very valid assessment criteria, (4) limited trials obtained a total score of 88 per cent with very valid assessment criteria, (5) field trials obtained a total score of 86 per cent with very feasible assessment criteria and (6) learning interest obtained a total score of 85 per cent with a very good assessment category

Abstract

This development research aims to create interactive media based on Genially for the subject of “Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering.” The study aims to assess the product’s feasibility and analyze the learning interest of vocational high school (SMK) students after using this interactive learning tool. The research follows the Four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The results indicate that the developed interactive learning media is highly suitable for use as a learning tool for 10th-grade vocational high school students. Based on the combined validity results of the product, a score of 92 per cent was obtained, categorizing it as highly feasible for use as a learning medium. Additionally, the implementation results showed a learning interest score of 89 per cent, categorized as very high, indicating that students have a high interest in Basic Electricity, specifically in the elements of electrical measuring instruments and testing tools, when using the Genially-based interactive learning media

Abstract

Technology is experiencing rapid development and is in line with the increasing need for adequate human resources (HR). There is a need for educators to prepare themselves to teach and produce high-quality individuals. However, many students are still not ready to enter the workforce. To prepare high-quality students, a good conceptual understanding is needed, and to achieve this, students must have strong learning motivation. One way to increase motivation is by using the Problem-Based Learning model and supported by Android-based learning media. The purpose of this research and development is to (1) Develop, (2) Test the feasibility, and (3) Determine the increase in student motivation in using Android-based learning media with a Problem-Based Learning model in Informatics subjects at vocational high schools that have been developed. The 4D model was chosen for this development, with stages including define, design, develop, and disseminate. The development result is an Android-based learning media called "Mepins" (Informatics Learning Media). The evaluation results obtained from material expert validation were 100 percent with very suitable criteria, the results from media expert validation were 81.09 percent with suitable criteria, the results from small-group development testing were 80.53 percent with suitable criteria, the results from large-group field testing were 86.32 percent with very suitable criteria, and the results from large-group motivation testing were 88.75 percent with very suitable criteria, with an N-Gain value of 0.54, which is interpreted as moderate. This indicates that implementing problem-based learning increases student motivation. Therefore, the media is considered suitable and can be used as a supporting learning media for Informatics subjects at vocational high schools

Abstract

activities to be replaced by technology. Based on the results of observations and initial observations made at SMKN 1 Pasuruan, at SMK PGRI 8 Malang, and at SMKN 3 Kota Bima, a problem was found, namely difficulties in understanding the material in the subject of Audio and Video Processing Engineering because the media was lacking. The objectives of the research activities were to develop mobile-based learning media, describe learning media, analyze the feasibility of learning media, and describe the level of student learning motivation. The developed learning media is stored in .apk format so that it can be operated on a smartphone. The learning media development model adapts the Plomp development model, consisting of an initial investigation or preliminary research phase, a development or prototyping phase, and an assessment phase. In the initial investigation phase or preliminary research, analyze the learning of audio and video processing techniques and find a problem. Then, in the development or prototype phase, there were validation results from media experts of 91.31 per cent and results from material experts of 93.3 per cent. Finally, in the testing phase of the field test on 26 students, the results were 86.71 per cent, and the measurement of learning motivation was 82.85 per cent. Referring to the results of the research, the implementation of the mobile-based learning media that was developed is very feasible to be applied in the learning process. It is quite efficient and effective in increasing student learning motivation

Abstract

In the learning process, an educator can choose and use several strategies, methods and learning media appropriate to the subject matter and the character of the students being taught. This research aims to determine how students' interest in learning is taught using Google Classroom media in the Informatics subject. This research is experimental. The subjects of this research were class X students of SMA Negeri 8 Malang. Meanwhile, the number of samples that will be used in this research is 42 respondents. The instrument used in this research is a questionnaire, and the type of data analysis used is quantitative. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to the use of Google Classroom media in the future as input, suggestions, or considerations in developing learning strategies

Abstract

This study focuses on the description, development, and determination of the feasibility level of a web-based management information system to assist in mapping students' achievements, talents, and interests. The benefits of developing a management information system can be felt from the perspective of students and schools, as it facilitates the management and mapping of achievements and helps schools improve accreditation. The development method used in this study refers to the 4-D development model, which has four stages: define, design, development, and deployment. The software testing results by software experts in terms of functionality showed a percentage of 100.00 per cent, and the media validation results showed a percentage of 90.00 per cent, with both criteria being very valid and feasible. The My Achievements website was implemented by 40 students from classes XI RPL 2 and XI TKJ 1 of SMKN 2 Singosari. User trial results showed a percentage of 82.20 per cent with good criteria. Meanwhile, the system usability scale test results showed a percentage of 84.70 per cent with good criteria. Based on the described data, it can be concluded that the My Achievements website has passed feasibility testing by software and media experts and is suitable for supporting the management, mapping of achievements, and dissemination of information for students at vocational high schools

Abstract

In the industrial era 4.0, technology is utilised as much as possible to advance the welfare of life. One use of technology commonly used in education is online-based exams. In addition to saving paper, online-based exams can reduce operational costs in carrying out exams. Currently, many online-based exam models are used for various types of exams. Starting with the computer-based Test, CAT-based CPNS test, etc., researchers developed a method by utilising geolocation to run an online-based examination system. In this study, the author wants to utilise geolocation as one of the requirements for accessing needed resources; in this case, the online-based quiz system was adopted. Using geolocation in the online-based quiz system is expected to provide security for the examination system so that examiners can assess their students as best they can
