Quantum Teknika : Jurnal Teknik Mesin Terapan or Quantum Teknika is a peer-reviewed journal published by Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Quantum Teknika journal publishes twice a year in April and October. Mechanical engineering is a branch of engineering focusing on mechanical engineering research. Despite of that, the development of the mechanical engineering does not solely encompass machinery science but also other machine-related field such as the automotive science which is composed of energy conversion, design and the forming materials. Quantum Teknika journal accommodates these fields in order to spark various innovations in Indonesia. Abstract

This paper aims to create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate green supply chain management (GSCM) for palm oil industry in Indonesia. Green supply chain management (GSCM) is a method to integrate environmental aspects to their supply chain. The method in creating KPIs using Green SCOR Model as a basis to develop green objectives and all of indicators. There are 23 KPIs from 9 green objectives for GSCM of palm oil industry in Indonesia. To ensure KPIs more precise then the impotance level of KPIs are measured using analaytic hierarchy process (AHP). According to the experts in palm oil industries there is managing plantations and palm oil mill using ISPO and RSPO certification as the dominant green objectives (29.7 %), followed by minimize and tackle emission from global warming gass (15,9 %), and manage waste ( 11,8 %).

Abstract

Unwittingly, musculoskeletal disorders are complaints that often occur in workers who work in positions that are not ergonomic and persistently. This happened to Yogas Syrup SMEs packaging operator workers. With work facilities in the form of stool chairs, the operator's work position is less comfortable. The purpose of this study was to analyze the work postures of the packaging operator of Yogas Syrup SMEs so that an ergonomic work posture was improved for the operator. The method used in this study is to use the OWAS (Ovako Working Analysis System) method with the help of ergofellow software. The results of this study found that the operator packaging work posture at the UMKM Yogas Syrup was at level 2 (medium potential). This means that the packaging operators at UMKM Syrup Yogas need to get the improved posture and work facilities soon.

Abstract

The process of forming a doped Tin oxide (FTO) nano fluoride layer was made using Tin Chloride (SNCL2) with Ammonium Fluoride (NH4F) mixing process using a magnetic stirrer at room temperature (28oC). The solvent liquid uses 99% ethanol. Both of these solutions are mixing and finally get the fluorinated doped fluorine Tin. The deposition method of the nanolayer uses the pyrolysis process to produce FTO substrates. This research focused on the production of materials that have transparent properties and have conductivity values. It based on the requirements of work solar cells to work. The process of measuring transparency uses an absorbance measurement tool. Measurement of conductivity using a conductivity meter with a 4-point circular Probe method used in this study was divided into four variations, including starting from 400, 425, 450, 475, 500 degrees Celsius. From this method, the best results were obtained at a temperature of 475 degrees Celsius with an average value of 25 Ω / cm and the highest percentage of transmittance.

Abstract

Musicool is an alternative refrigerant developed as a working fluid in a steam compression refrigeration system. Musicool has many advantages compared to conventional refrigerants, the advantage is that it is environmentally friendly. This study aims to determine the characteristics of musicool 134 on a steam compression refrigeration machine using a double evaporator. The test is done by comparing the characteristics of a single evaporator refrigeration machine and a double evaporator using musicool 134. The research variable is the air flow through the evaporator that is equal to 0.022 kg / s, 0.027 kg / s, 0.033 kg / s. The test data is taken by measuring the temperature and pressure of each component in the refrigeration machine, then using the P-h diagram musicool 134, to determine the performance of the refrigeration machine. The results of the study provide information that the use of a double evaporator will give rise to an improved refrigeration system performance compared to using a single evaporator.

Abstract

In the manufacturing industry, the integration of different types of material is needed. The dissimilar metal welding of two different material were required suitable filler types. The often combination of material was done is welding between steel and stainless steel. TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding process used feed electrode an electric arc. The gas around welding area has been protected the molten metal with outside air. This study aimed to determine the effect of selecting a suitable filler on the joining dissimilar metal beetwen SS316L  and low carbon steel with the TIG welding method. The mechanical characteristics of ER316L and ER70S filler variations were testing by Tensile strength and microhardness vickers.  The highest tensile strength and hardness value were found in the specimen welded by ER70S filler at  410 MPa and 398,1 HVN (Hardness Vickers Number). According to the study results, the ER70S filler is more suitable beetwen welding on the stainless steel and low carbon steel.

Abstract

The lining is coil’s protector componen and metal liquid reservoir, the lining is required to own endurance towards chemical reaction and high temperature emitted by the smelting process. The lining commonly problem on the lining damage (cavity) after the sintering process. This damage cause the smelting process force-stopped, due to endangering the induction furnace operator and the surrounding. According to the analysis result, the lining damage occured because of the improper pulverization and sintering process with the casting term. The uncontinued comprssion process and the improper sintering with the used fireproof material, cause the lining can not maximally functioned. The upcoming refinement will apply proper compression process according to metal casting theories and economically anallyzed.

Abstract

From the tofu production process. The waste generated by tofu industries can be divided into two types, i.e the solid waste and liquid waste. One effort to reduce the environmental damage due to tofu liquid waste from the processing of tofu is to make the tofu liquid waste into biogas. The effort to convert liquid waste from tofu factories into biogas reguires a biogas reactor.  The aim of this study was to design a biogas reactor with a size of 1 m3 (1000 Liters) by using materials and equipment that are very easily available in the market at an affordable price, to determine the pressure, pH value and the quality of the flame produced when the biogas is used as fuel gas stove. The method used in this study is an experimental method within 30 days. The results showed that biogas pressure increased with increasing time (days). Maximum pressure is reached on day 21, which is 12.2 kPa. The average pH value is 6.91. The temperature in the biogas reactor tends to be stable with an average temperature of 31oC. The color of the flame when the biogas from tofu liquid waste is used as a gas fuel for a large flame gas stove is still a mixture of blue and yellow. The utilization of tofu liquid waste into biogas is expected to reduce environmental pollution and make tofu liquid waste become a high economic value and environmentally friendly.
