Abstract

Digital Comic Creation As A Means Of Promoting Historical Tourism of Palgading Temple in Palgading Tourism Village, Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency Palgading Tourism Village which is located on Jalan Kaliurang KM 9, Palgading Hamlet, Sinduharjo Village, Ngaglik District, Sleman Regency, has several business units in the tourism sector are camping ground, riverside and Palgading Temple, but currently it is in a vacuum or economically unproductive due to land acquisition problem. Therefore, the purpose of this community service is to raise historical tourism in the Palgading Tourism Village namely the Palgading Temple site which is a relic of the VII-X century AD where Hindu-Buddhist religion was growing rapidly at that time through making digital comics about the history of Palgading Temple. The method for implementing community service activities consists of several stages of making digital comics, including research, writing comic scripts, sketching, inking, coloring and finishing. The result is that a digital comic has been made which consist of 10 panels. The existence of a digital comic tells the story of the Palgading Temple has an impact on the history of tourism for Palgading Tourism Village.

Abstract

Coastal regions in Indonesia grapple with high poverty rates. The prosperity of coastal communities hinges on the utilization of coastal natural resources. Mangroves, flourishing in these areas, play diverse roles in supporting the well-being of coastal communities, as illustrated comprehensively through their ecological and economic functions. A concrete implementation of this is the development of mangrove ecotourism, contributing to the economic and social value of the community. This article aims to explore the role and potential of mangrove forest ecotourism development in enhancing the well-being of Sedari Village’s communities. The methodology involves a literature review and structured interviews with key informants. The analysis shows that mangrove ecotourism in Sedari Village can contribute to: 1) a increasing Sedari Village’s income, potentially exceeding Rp. 100,000,000 annually, 2) Enlarging job opportunities for reducing the communities' reliance on sea catches, and 3) Improving the social and environmental value with active  participation in managing the mangrove forest ecotourism area.

Abstract

Entrepreneur Training for Communities in Boddia Tourism Village, Galesong District, Takalar Regency. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase community knowledge and skills about handicrafts and entrepreneurial products that can be sold as souvenirs and become an attraction in tourist villages. This training is aimed at housewives and women in Boddia Tourism Village. The method used in this training was presentation and hands-on practice. One of the handicrafts trained in this activity is knitting. The positive impact of this community service activity is that housewives can fill their spare time by knitting and utilizing used goods into a craft. This is because knitting is one of the drivers of the creative economy which can certainly increase community income. The results of the activity showed that the participants were very satisfied with this training activity, including the service of the activity committee, the quality of the training material provided, the ability of the trainer in providing material, the suitability of the material provided to the needs of the trainees, and the participants' satisfaction with the implementation of handicraft training.

Abstract

Pariwisata syariah merupakan destiasi unik dan eksotik yang perlu terhadap pengembangan. Kegiatan pelatihan manajemen pariwisata halal berbasis eco tourism di kampung Wisata Toron Samalem untuk meningkatkan pola manajemen tata kelola wisata berbasis eco tourism yang berdampak kepada pengembangan wisata sehingga membantu menjaga kelestarian lingkungan, meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat dan menjadi desa wisata yang menarik. Selain itu peningkatan kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat khususnya tentang pengelolaan pariwisata halal berbasis eco-tourism, meningkatnya peran dan partisipasi masyarakat dalam pertumbuhan ekosistem halal, peningkatan jumlah pendampingan atas pengelolaan destinasi pariwisata syariah dan terbentuknya manajemen pengelolaan pariwisata halal yang berbasis konsep pelestarian lingkungan

Abstract

Penelitian yang telah dilakukan ini bertujuan (1) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kurangnya eksploitasi masyarakat lokal dalam pengembangan pariwisata (2) mengidentifikasi alasan perlunya diadakannya peningkatan tata kelola destinasi desa wisata (3) menggali upaya peningkatan layanan pariwisata untuk mencapai standar prima dan memikat lebih banyak pariwisata. Penelitian ini bersifat penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yaitu dengan adanya wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi tempat untuk melihat secara langsung kondisi yang akan dijadikan bahan penelitian. Wawancara dilakukan kepada salah satu tour guide yang juga menjadi salah satu penemu fosil manusia purba, fosil hewan dan alat batu. Data yang telah dikumpulkan kemudian digali secara sistematis, dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mendapatkan hasil yang dapat merinci dengan baik rumusan masalah yang terjadi sehingga dapat disajikan secara informal. Hasil dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan ditemukan permasalahan seperti bagaimana warga sekitar memiliki banyak cara untuk menarik khalayak umum namun belum juga mendapati perizinan dari pusat. Banyak sekali yang perlu diperhatikan dari upaya peningkatan tata kelola destinasi situs sangiran ini, karena ini termasuk cagar alam budaya yang perlu dilestarikan, monumen penting bersejarah, diperlukan pula partisipasi dari warga local untuk ikut membantu meningkatkan cara terbaik yang tidak merugikan pihak manapun. Dalam penelitian ini juga ditemukan perihal fosil fosil yang semakin hari semakin bertambah tatkala penemuannya pun tak terduga, namun jenis promosi tempat yang kurang membuat masyarakat kesusahan untuk mencari tahu terkait destinasi wisata ini. Dengan adanya penelitian ini, hal-hal yang bisa dikembangkan mulai diperhatikan dan dimulai dengan partisipasi warga lokalnya yang bisa menjaga keasrian wisata situs sangiran.

Abstract

Training on Making Yōshoku Cuisine as SME Business Idea for SML UMKM Centre Community Service (PkM) is carried out with the aim of raising awareness and providing beneficial knowledge and skills to the community. This PkM activity is directed towards the SML UMKM Centre, a business development facility established by Sinar Mas Land. SML UMKM Centre provides various facilities to support the development of SMEs. In this PkM activity, the executing team will conduct training on making Yōshoku cuisine, a fusion of Japanese and Western flavours. The training aims to provide knowledge about Yōshoku food menus as ideas for starting SME food businesses for the SML UMKM Centre community, namely Alfredo Gyoza and Nanban Chicken Rice Bowl. The executing team will deliver detailed presentations on the foods to be made, including in-depth explanations of the recipes to be used and the stages of preparation. Organizing this training it is expected to provide an opportunity for participants to be creative in creating Yōshoku dishes as a new opportunity in the culinary business.

Abstract

Desa Sukaraharja memiliki potensi dari sektor pertanian, namun sangat disayangkan potensi pertanian masih belum menjadi perfektif lain sebagai daya tarik wisata. Namun, daerah ini memiliki sebuah Pesantren dengan jumlah santri yang cukup banyak berasal dari berbagai daerah. Kebutuhan akomodasi bagi keluarga santri kurang terpenuhi, mengingat lokasi dari pusat kota yang memiliki fasilitas akomodasi berjarak cukup jauh. Pengembangan homestay di Desa ini diperkirakan dapat meberikan fasilitas akomodasi bagi keluarga santri dan menjadi sumber pendapatan tambahan dalam setiap kepengelolaan desa, mengingat homestay merupakan kebutuhan penting bagi setiap wisatawan yang berkunjung. Oleh karena itu, Universitas Mayasari Bakti Tasikmalaya, mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan tema “pengelolaan dasar akomodasi wisata homestay”. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode presentasi dan selanjutnya diikuti diskusi panel. Rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini adalah pengelolaan homestay yang tepat diharapkan menjadi faktor krusial dalam menciptakan peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat, sehingga diharapkan masyarakat dalam mengelola homestay memenuhi kriteria aspek produk, pelayanan, dan pengelolaan.

Abstract

Challenges of Tourism Assistance in the Baduy Community The sustainability of rural tourism management is, among other things, determined by the ability of managers to autonomously govern their tourism. This means that the managers need to have clear guidelines to be accepted by all parties. It seems that not all tourism managers possess the necessary skills in tourism management. For instance, in Baduy, Kanekes Village, Lebak Regency, West Java, the bustling tourism that has been ongoing in Baduy has not significantly benefited its residents and environment. Some challenges faced include the suboptimal performance of local institutions with the legitimacy to regulate tourism activities, a high dependency on tour packages from external parties, and numerous external guides bringing tourists to Baduy. The environmental impacts caused by tourism and limitations in skills and human resource capacity also contribute to the challenges. This article was developed from a mentoring process conducted using a participatory action research approach. Specifically, the article aims to explain the techniques and mentoring processes conducted while highlighting the challenges encountered when assisting the Saba Budaya Baduy managers. As a result, various tourism training needs have been provided to ensure the readiness of local human resources. Post-training, mentoring continues to address challenges in implementing the training program. Mentoring challenges in the Baduy community require the mentoring team to understand the cultural values that are still maintained amidst modernity. Skills and abilities in communication with a cultural approach are essential to ensure that both physical and non-physical mentoring programs are fully accepted by the Baduy residents. The stages of tourism mentoring in indigenous communities require a continuous process to ensure that the Baduy residents have more sovereignty in tourism management.

Abstract

Facilitating the Identification of Tourism Potentials in Nagari Guguak Malalo to Revitalize the Village Tourism Ecosystem Nagari Guguak Malalo, Tanah Datar Regency, is a region abundant in natural resources, characterized by expansive hills and the scenic beauty of Lake Singkarak. Therefore, the mapping of tourism potentials serves as the foundation in the planning and development processes of tourism managed by the Community-Based Tourism Organization (POKDARWIS) and the local community. The mapping process encompasses several stages, including a forum group discussion that explores various tourism potentials through the lenses of natural, cultural, and artificial attractions. Subsequently, a mapping is conducted using a tourism potential matrix, emphasizing the strengths and weaknesses of feasible tourism activities. The matrix results are then reevaluated across multiple sectors, culminating in a Joint Decision. For short-term planning, this involves the execution of cultural events, which are also incorporated into the Tanah Datar Regency's event calendar. Additionally, there is the introduction of religious tourism packages. Looking towards the medium-term plan, efforts are directed at enhancing accessibility and infrastructure for nature-based tourism. Simultaneously, the development of water tourism is pursued by optimizing the available human resources ready to engage in the tourism industry within the framework of a tourism village concept.

Abstract

Strengthening Human Resource Capacity in Education-based Tourism Management This Community Service Activity aims to increase community capacity in managing education-based tourism. This PKM activity includes the socialization of Sapta Pesona and cooperation in raising Etawah Peranakan (PE) goats. Through the socialization of SAPTA PESONA, the tourism community in Jogotirto village and El Farm farm gained insight and knowledge about the application of SAPTA PESONA so that they became aware of tourism. Apart from that, the socialization of SAPTA PESONA will enrich the understanding of existing tourist attractions and potential tourism. Through the socialization of cooperation in raising PE goats, the community and tourism actors in Jogotirto village gained an understanding of how to manage PE goats, starting from rearing goats, breeding goats to how to buy and sell goats as well as forming a goat farming cooperation by applying the franchise principle or profit sharing system.
