Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of bio fertilizers and foliar fertilizers on growth and yield of celery (Apium graviolens). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Amir Hamzah University, Medan, Medan Estate Village, Percut Sei Tuan District with a height of ± 25 meters above sea level, which was conducted from May to July 2020. This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design with two factors studied, namely the first factor was the concentration of bio fertilizer Impro Tanotec (H), which consisted of 4 levels, namely H0 (0 ml/l water), H1 (1,5 ml/l water), H2 (2,5 ml/l water), H3 (3,5 ml/l water), and the second factor is the concentration of foliar fertilizer Growmore (D) which consists of 4 levels, namely D0 (0 gr/lwater), D1 (1 gr/l water), D2 (2 gr/l water), and D3 (3 gr/l water). Parameters observed included plant height (cm), number of leaves, number of stalks, root length (cm), and fresh weight per plant. (gr). The results showed that the concentration of bio fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height at the age of 20, 40, and 60 days after planting, the number of leaves at the age of 20, 40, and 60 days after planting, the number of stalks at the age of 40 and 60 days after planting, root length, and fresh weight per plant, but did not significantly affect the number of stalks at the age of 20 days after planting. The best bio-fertilizer concentration was obtained in the H3 treatment (3.5 ml/l water). The concentration of foliar fertilizer had a very significant effect on plant height at the age of 20, 40, and 60 days after planting, the number of leaves at the age of 20, 40, and 60 days after planting, the number of stalks at the age of 40 and 60 days after planting, and the fresh weight per plant, had a significant effect on root length, and had no significant effect on the number of stalks at the age of 20 days after planting. The best foliar fertilizer concentration was obtained in D3 treatment (3 gr/l water). The interaction between the concentration of bio fertilizer and foliar fertilizers had a significant effect on the number of leaves at the age of 40 and 60 days after planting, where the best treatment combination was obtained in the H3D3 treatment (bio fertilizer concentration 3.5 ml/l water and foliar fertilizer concentration 3 gr/l water).

Abstract

The aims of this study are to find out the healing process of Priapism in Patients Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. This study used one case of patient which has some complaint, The patients is man with age 29 years old, The patient complained of an enlarged left stomach since 4 months and became heavy in the last 2 weeks, On vital sign examination, compos mentis awareness was found with blood pressure 110/70 mmHg, pulse 80 times per minute, respiratory rate 20 times per minute and temperature 37oC. On the visual analogue scale (VAS) examination showed a value of 4-6 (moderate pain). The result shows that CML is a hematological malignancy characterized by the Philadelphia chromosome and detected clonal expansion of hematopoietic stem cells from ABL BCR examination on chromosomes 9 and 22 which is characterized by an increase in the number of leukocytes with or without enlargement of the spleen. One of the complications of CML is priapism which occurs due to hyperleukocytosis which causes an increase in the viscosity of the blood and this is a major cause of complications of vascular obstruction. Priapism in CML is classified as low-flow (static / ischemic) caused by venocclusiveness which must be treated immediately to restore blood flow to the cavernous corpora by means of needle aspiration.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is closely related to immunity, a biological protection system found in the human body. This system can ward off free radicals that will enter, so it is not easy to catch the disease. If this system works properly, then a person can avoid virus attacks. Consuming fruits and vegetables is the best immune boosting way that can be done. The importance of knowing local fruits and vegetables so that it can increase immunity. Make sure fruits and vegetables are always on the diet, so that the body is always in the best condition. This research examines the diversity of local fruits and vegetables in Jember District which can increase immunity. The research method uses exploratory survey, which aims to collect information with a qualitative approach. The research instrument consists of: observation sheets, interview guidelines and documentation. The survey area covers 31 districts in Jember District. The results of the study found 28 types of local fruit that can increase immunity, namely : avocado, sweet starfruit, wuluh starfruit, cantaloupe, red dragon fruit, guava, crystal guava, lime, semboro orange, kedondong, manalagi mango, gadung mango, pineapple, papaya, banana ambon, banana berlin, banana kepok, banana nangka, banana raja, soursop, big orange, ciplukan, passion fruit, pomegranate, mangosteen and apple melon. Also found 18 types of local vegetables that can increase immunity, namely: pumpkin, tomatoes, green spinach, red spinach, leeks, oyong, large chilies, rawit chilies, katu leaves, moringa leaves, papaya leaves, kenikir, cabbage, ferns, celery, and cauliflower. Of the 28 types of local fruit found, as much as 44.8% has been cultivated. From 18 types of local vegetables, which has been cultivated by 38.9%.

Abstract

The therapeutic virtues of medicinal plants are known and used in Africa and in Madagascar where natural products form the basis of Traditional Medicine. More than 300 million people worldwide consume dietary supplements and herbal plants. Scientific studies confirm that Aloes contains pharmacologically active ingredients associated with diverse biological activities including fungicidal, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, laxative, immunomodulating, and anticancer effects. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of orally administered extracts of two Aloe species: A. helenae, A. analavelonensis on mice. Mice were gavaged with crude whole leaves extracts after 24 hours of empty stomach. The extracts administration was found to be not acute toxic at the dose 1200 mg/kg with 100% survival of mice. Since the Aloe helenae is traditionally used against intestinal worms in sheep and goats, it is thus desirable that the plant species could be submitted to phytochemical for the isolation and characterization of new antihelminthic compounds.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out Contact System for Organic and Inorganic Pesticide Residues on Cayenne Pepper. This study used the Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method with 2 treatment factors. The results of the research on cayenne pepper resulted from the interaction of 0.5 ml / l water (K1) of inorganic pesticides with various levels of organic pesticides having a capsaicin level range between 0.078% to 0.080%. Where the lowest percentage of capsaicin levels was obtained at the interaction with Organic Pesticides at the level of 0 ml / l water (P0) which was significantly different from the interaction of Organic Pesticides at the level of 200 ml / l water (P1). The percentage of capsaicin levels is better obtained at the interaction with organic pesticides at the level of 200 ml / l water (P1) which is significantly different from the interaction of Organic Pesticides at the level of 0 ml / l water (P1) and at the level of 600 ml / l water (P3).

Abstract

Hemangioma is an endothelial tumor that most commonly found in infants and children. Most hemangiomas arise during birth or shortly after birth and proliferate during the first 18 months and then disappear spontaneously at the age of 5-10 years. The most complaints of patients with a hemangioma are the psychosocial problems, which are conditions that can affect the appearance and invite the attention of people around them. Some hemangiomas still require therapy, namely if the size and growth result in severe deformities, or if it interferes with vital functions, such as breathing, vision, hearing and digestion. Therapy depends on the size, location, and clinical stage. In this paper, we report an enormous hemangioma case involving the lower lip in male patients aged 45 years who has acquired wide excision (Cheiloplasty reduction).

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most common and most prevalent diseases in the world today. Chronic inflammation is one of the risk factors for cardiovascular disease (CVD). Since synovial inflammation plays a role in the initial stages of osteoarthritis (OA), therefore, the side effects of OA are the incidence of CVD. One of the most appropriate methods for treating this disease is the use of medicinal herbs that have a blood pressure modifying effect Due to OA as Papaver rhoeas. The present research shows The Effects of Extract of Papaver rhoeas on Blood Pressure of rats with OA and Its Interaction with nitrergic System. OA model in 35 male rats was created by injection of monosodium iodoacetate (MIA) into the right knee joint and then were gavaged with extract of Papaver rhoeas for 30 days.  On day 30, the veins and arteries of the animal were then cannulated for injection and measurement of blood pressure, respectively. Blood pressure parameters (systolic, diastolic, mean arterial pressure) were recorded in groups before and after L-NAME injection. The results were analyzed using SPSS software. Systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial pressure in response to extract of Papaver rhoeas was reduced compared to control(OA), as well as Significant decrease in systolic and diastolic pressure and mean arterial pressure and increased heart beat rate in the presence of extract and LNAME as compared with control group. (P <0/05) .We found that the aqueous extract of Papaver rhoeas has a decreasing effect on blood pressure in rats with OA. This effect may be due to inhibition of the nitrergic system.

Abstract

Pulmonary arterial hypertension is most often diagnosed in its advanced stages because of the nonspecific nature of early symptoms and signs. Although clinical assessment is essential when evaluating patients with suspected pulmonary arterial hypertension, echocardiography is a key screening tool in the diagnostic algorithm. Echocardiography is valuable in assessing prognosis and treatment options, monitoring the efficacy of specific therapeutic interventions, and detecting the preclinical stages of disease. In this report, we reported A 35 years old woman admitted to the emergency unit with breathing difficulty which has felt since 2 days before. she transferred from rural hospital after hospitalized for a week. The patient has history of spinal surgery due to spondylitis tuberculosis 8 months ago and has an anti-tuberculosis drug for 2 months. The vital signs show respiratory failure with blood pressure 114/70 mmHg, heart rate 118 bpm, respiratory rate 35-40 bpm and pulse saturation 80-85% with non-rebreathing mask. Physical examination shows increasing work of breathing, without rales and wheezing, liver enlargement palpated 3 fingers below right ribs the chest x ray shows cardiomegaly and right pleural effusion

Abstract

Cognitive virtual smart artificial intelligence can be formed by ensembles of diversified agents with strong artificial intelligence based on communicative-associative logic by recurring development of professional skills, increasing visual, sound, and subject, spatial and temporal sensitivity. Several diversifiable agents that try to get the same conclusion will give a more accurate result, so several diversifiable agents are combined into an ensemble. Then, based on the criteria of utility and preference, the final result is obtained based on the conclusions of diversifying agents. This approach increases accuracy. Bagging and boosting techniques are used to form ensembles. Bagging is a combination of independent diversifiable agents by averaging patterns (weighted average, majority vote, or normal average). Boosting is the construction of ensembles of diversifiable agents consistently. The idea here is that the next agent will consider the errors of the previous agent. Due to the fact that diversifiable agents take into account errors committed by previous agents, it takes less time to get to a real response. The combination of Bagging and Boosting decision-making methods allows the development of intelligent artificial intelligence by ensembles of diversified agents. Cognitive virtual smart artificial intelligence becomes smarter through the accumulated professional experience of high-tech skills, competencies and knowledge, having increased visual, sound, subject, spatial and temporal sensitivity. Standardization of strong artificial intelligence and the use of ensembles of intelligent compatible diversified agents will help to find boundaries in which smart artificial intelligence will benefit humanity and not harm.

Abstract

Laterite is one of the most widespread raw materials, especially in Madagascar. Its valorization as a building material would help to solve many socio-economic problems in Madagascar as well as in Africa. The use of this type of material fits well within the framework of high environmental quality, since the process uses an abundant material that does not require too much energy for its manufacture because it is dried in the open air. The aim of this work was to stabilize the laterite with cassava starch. The valorization of the latter would contribute to the development of new building materials. The study focuses on the mechanical characterization of specimens made with Vontovorona laterite in different proportions, which goes hand in hand with the determination of the physico-chemical parameters of the starch. To make specimens, we used techniques such as extraction, sieving, heating, laterite-stabilizing dosage, mixing, rotting, moulding, clamping, demoulding, drying. The results obtained show that the best stabilizing material is obtained if 15% of starch is mix to lateritic soil. The compressive strength in the dry state of the test specimens (samples) gave a significantly interesting result with a value of 54.8 bars (85% laterite with 15% starch). Thus the use of starch as a stabilizer in construction gave satisfactory results. This eco-friendly process, simple in its steps and practice, should be popularized among artisanal brick makers. Thus, replacing proportions of the Portland cement in soil stabilization with Cassava starch will reduce the overall environmental impact of the stabilization process.
