Abstract

This article tries to reformulate the concept of ta'lim in the Quran so that it can be one of the solutions in answering the challenges of today's growing era. The civilization of science and technology is influenced by the philosophical schools of positivism, rationalism, and materialism. True according to this school, must come out with an approach to empiric boundaries and logic (secular), where scientific concepts must be measured in a mustard manner. All the truths produced must never reach the truths that are beyond the reach of the empiric. Al-Quran has very different characteristics and extraordinary, both in terms of content, language and systematics. Al-Quran has provided the best solution for all aspects of human life without limits of space and time, especially in the area of education. The pattern of Islamic education, which is seen as underdeveloped from the Western education model, is a challenge for Muslim intellectuals to formulate the concept of ta'lim that can bridge this gap. With the approach of review literature, the results of the study showed that the concept of ta'lim in the Quran if developed further is very closely related to psychological situations and highly interactive educational communication. Inter-relation between ta'lim concepts in this perspective will be able to build a comprehensive and integrative ta'lim concept with the presence of rahmaniyyah principles, so that intellectual generations will be born accompanied by a solid character.

Abstract

Patience is the key of living life; the patient word is often used daily life. Generally, the patience word is used by someone when experiencing the difficult times or in facing problems. Patience is often used as a motivation for someone to be strong to face their problems or difficulties. Qur'an has demonstrated patience in the previous prophet stories, including the story of the Prophet; he is a prophet who has a very high patience level. In the study, the approaching used by researchers is a qualitative with the library research (Library Research) type. This research discusses how the patience according to M. Quraish Shihab is and how is the patience story of Prophet Yusuf. His patience stories according to M. Quraish Shihab is to refrain from all the obstacles that came, while the patience forms in the Prophet Yusuf story, begin with his removed by his brother then, he was found by a group of travelers and sold to the Egyptian. Afterward, Prophet Yusuf patience in resisting the temptation of Aziz wife and he was put in prison because of Aziz wife charges. From those obstacles, the Prophet Yusuf was able to pass it with the great patience. Subsequently, Allah almighty replied with the infinite favors.

Abstract

Abstract This paper seeks to explore the tabi’ tabi’in interpretation methodology, namely Tafsir al-Qur’an al-Adzim by Ibnu Abi Hatim al-Razi. By reading it from a constructivism perspective with an analysis of intertextuality data, the writer can identify the existence of Ibnu Abi Hatim interpretation which only uses the interpretation of bi al-ma’tsur as a source of interpretation, which is based on an explanation of the Prophet’s hadith, the opinions of friends, tabi’in, and the stories of israiliyyat. While the effort in explaining al-Qur’an, the method carried by Ibnu Abi Hatim is the method of ijmali, which is interpreting verses of the Qur'an in a concise, concise, and not lengthy language. In addition, Ibnu Abi Hatim also used the muqaran method by quoting and comparing the opinions of friends and the tabi’in. For his interpretation style, the interpretation of Ibnu Abi Hatim did not reach a certain scientific discipline style, only limited to the interpretation of geographical and traditionalist locations, namely interpreting the al-Qur’an by tending to use narrations from the hadiths of the Prophet, friends, and tabi’in.

Abstract

Konteks diturunkannya sebuah ayat akan memberi penjelasan tentang implikasi sebuah ayat, dan memberikan bahan untuk melakukan penafsiran dan pemikiran tentang bagaimana menerapkan sebuah ayat dalam waktu, situasi dan kondisi yang berbeda. Disinilah letak pentingnya mengetahui Asbâb an-Nuzûl sebagai skala mikro konteks kesejarahan al-Qur’an. Dengan demikian secara esensial al-Qur’an berwatak religius, namun tetap menaruh perhatian pada situasi yang ada, serta memiliki kesadaran sejarah.

Abstract

The concept of naskh still an interesting issue in the study of the Qur’an both in the classical and contemporary era. This can be seen from various interpretations in addressing the verses that are considered contradictory. This is the task of academics in the field of the Qur’an to uncover the concept of naskh, especially the initiators of the naskh theory in the contemporary era which have different criticisms and opinions regarding the concept of naskh it self. Thus, the question will arise, are there any verses in the Qur’an which are contradictory? are there any verses that are dysfunctional? this problem has caused controversy among the ulama.
