<![CDATA[Abstract: One indicator used to measure economic development is employment. The huge population growth each year will certainly have an impact on increasing the number of the workforce and will certainly give meaning that the number of people looking for work will increase, along with that the workforce will also increase. This study aims to analyze the effect of wages, investment and economic growth on labor demand in West Sumatra. This study uses secondary data in the form of time series with an observation period of 2013-2017. Data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), data analysis using the panel regression method with the program eviews. The results of this study include wages that negatively and significantly affect labor demand in West Sumatra. While investment and economic growth have a positive and significant effect on labor demand in West Sumatra. And the most dominant factor influencing labor demand in West Sumatra is the Economic Growth factor where the factor has the greatest regression coefficient among other factorsKeywords: labor, wages, investment, economic growth]]>

<![CDATA[Financial distress is the stage of decreasing the company's financial condition that occurs before the company goes bankrupt. This research is conducted to see the effect of liquidity, leverage, sales growth and company size on financial distress of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study are all Manufacturing Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2015-2017. The sample selection is determined by purposive sampling. This research uses logistic regression as the data analysis technique. The results of the this research state that (1) liquidity has a negative and no significant effect on financial distress of manufacturing companies, (2) leverage has a positive and significant effect on financial distress of manufacturing companies, (3) sales growth has a negative and significant effect on the financial distress of manufacturing companies, (4) company size has a negative and no significant effect on financial distress of manufacturing companies. The suggestion of this research are, (1) for the next researcher, it is recommended to be able to add the period of research and to use other indicators related to the factors that influence financial distress. (2) for the management, it is better to be aware of the company's financial condition. <![CDATA[The purpose of this research was to determine 1) The influence students perception about teacher profession of interest to become a teacher. 2) The influence family environment of interest become a teacher. 3) The influnce of students perception about teacher profession and family environment of interest to become a teacher. This type of research is descriptive and associative research. The population of this study is all students from economic education padang state university in 2014, amount of the population is 88 people. The sampling technique of data collection is done by Total Sampling with amount of sample is 82 people because the 7 people have finished their studies. The data used are primary and secondary data. This research had two categories of variable The first was the independent variable, the paerceptions of students about the teaching prefession . The first was the independent variable, the perceptions of students about the teaching profession and family environment. The second dependent variable, namely interests become a teacher. The analytical method used is multiple regression analysis. The result show that. 1) Student perception about teacher profession significant effect to interest become a teacher. 2) Family environment are significant effect to interest become a teacher. 3) Perception of students about the profession teacher and family environment jointly had a significant effect to interest become a teacher.Keyword: Perception, The Profession Of Teacher, Family Environment, Interset]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze and see the effect of parents' income on the financial behavior of students of the Faculty of Economics, Padang State University. This type of research is associative descriptive with a population of 521 students of Economic Education at the UNP. The sampling technique is Proportional Random Sampling with a sample of 84 students. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires. To ensure the questionnaire used in this study, a validity test and a reliability test were performed. The data analysis technique used is simple regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 20. Previously the prerequisite test analysis was done using the normality test, linearity test, and homogeneity test. Financial behavior of students of Economic Education, FE UNP is in quite good category. The results showed that parental income did not have a significant effect on the financial behavior of FE UNP Economic Education students. Suggestions for students whose parents are classified as low income should be wise in managing finances, especially in the aspects of making expenditure and expenditure budgets, providing funds for unexpected expenses, and saving periodically. As for students whose parents are classified as moderate and high income, they must routinely make budgets for expenditure and expenditures, and record expenses and expenditures both daily, weekly and monthly. And for students whose parents are classified as very high income must also be routine in making spending and expenditure budgets, as well as saving periodically.Keywords : parent income, and financial behavior.]]>

<![CDATA[His study was conducted to determine (1) the effect of placement and job training on employee performance, (2) the effect of placement on employee performance, (3) the effect of job training on employee performance. This research is descriptive associative. The population in this study were employees of the Education Office of West Sumatra Province with 182 employees. The total sample is determined using the Slovin formula and cluster sampling. From this pattern, 125 employees were obtained as research samples. The data collection technique used in this study was a questionnaire. The validity test instrument uses Collected Item-Total Colleration and for reliability testing using alpha coefficient formula. Prerequisite tests were carried out by normality test, heterocedasticity test, and multicollinearity test. The technique used to analyze data is multiple regression analysis. Based on this study, it was found that (1) Job Placement and Training had a positive and significant effect on the performance of West Sumatra Provincial Education Office employees (2) Placement had a positive influence and significantly affected the performance of West Sumatra Provincial Education Office employees (3) Job Training had a positive effect and significant to the performance of employees of the Education Office of West Sumatra Province. <![CDATA[This study aims to describe the suitability of the RPP with the Learning Implementation Process, the suitability of the RPP made by teachers with the 2013 Curriculum, and the obstacles faced by teachers in implementing the RPP. Data collection using, documentation, observation, interviews and then data were analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. Based on the results of the analysis it is known that the percentage of completeness of the RPP components of Vocational High School Business Management in Padang with the Curriculum Component of the 2013 RPP is 97.01%, the percentage of the suitability of the RPP with the implementation of learning is 27.7%, 27.8%, 30.4%,36 , 2% and 41.7%. this means that the teacher is not competent in carrying out the lesson plans when implementing learning in the classroom. The obstacles faced by teachers are lack of time, IT like Infocus is also inadequate in schools and lack of source books.Keywords: learning implementation plan, learning implementation process, curriculum 2013]]>

<![CDATA[Remaining business results is one of the important things in improving the welfare of members of cooperatives, because cooperatives are one of the forces that drive economic growth. This research is an associative descriptive study using panel data regression analysis method using Eviews version 8. Data was collected by documentation technique, the data in this study are secondary data, namely all Village Unit Cooperatives in Padang City totaling 6 KUD. The dependent variable in this study is the residual business results, while the independent variable is the number of members and own capital. The results of this study stated that the F test obtained a calculated f value of 24,90077 while the f table value of 3.28 so that the calculated f value is greater than the value of the f table and sig probability value. 0,000 <α = 0.05 which means Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This shows that there is a joint effect between the number of members (X1) and own capital (X2) on the Remaining Operations (Y) of the Village Unit Cooperative in Padang City. R Square value in this study amounted to 0.577 or 57.7%. This means that the amount of contribution between the number of members and own capital to the rest of the business results is 57.7% while 42.3% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. <![CDATA[This study aims to explain how the socialization and implementation of filling the SKPI at FE UNP. Can be seen from the four indicators filling SKPI namely 1) academic activities 2) student activities 3) compulsory activities and 4) optional activities in terms of the perceptions and expectations of FE UNP students totaling 510 people. This type of research is a descriptive study with a survey approach that uses primary data as research data and was obtained from a questionnaire filled out by FE 2015 UNP students. The sample of this study was 84 students. Sampling with Proportional random sampling. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis and gap analysis (gap / discrepancy between perception and expectations) using a Cartesian diagram. The analysis shows that the four indicators filling SKPI with credit points in the category are quite effective in terms of students' perceptions and expectations. The results of the analysis with the Importance performance matrix and Cartesian diagram of all indicators in the student satisfaction index table show that students perceive all indicators lower than expected. All four indicators need to be improved. The results showed that the implementation of SKPI filling with the credit system at FE UNP was quite effective by students. While the expectations of the Faculty of Economics students were in the high category. Therefore, it is recommended to the Faculty Leaders to conduct a review or to socialize the application of the SKPI with a credit system on indicators of student activities and choices. It is expected that the Faculty Leaders to improve the implementation of SKPI filling at the Faculty of Economics, State University of Padang in terms of 1) Socialization of filling SKPI with credit points systematically, comprehensively and continuously 2) Developing student activities based on soft skills, as a means of developing student character 3) updating Circular Letters and Student Activity Handbook 2015. Students are expected to obey the rules of Circular and Guidebook and participate in developing their potential in non-academic activities that support academic achievement for added value and readiness of students to enter the workforce. <![CDATA[Comparison of student learning outcomes between learning using the Group Investigation Model and Quantum Teaching on Financial Report material. This study aims to determine the differences and improvement of student learning outcomes in the application of Group Investigation and Quantum Teaching in financial report material. The research design used was the Nonequivalent Control Design Group. In the first experimental class the average score of student learning outcomes was 80.95 and the increase in the average score of student learning outcomes was 47.57 with N-gain of 0.71 (high category). In the second experimental class the average score of student learning outcomes was 88.24 and the increase in the average score of student learning outcomes was 52.05 with N-gain of 0.81 (high category). The results of the study showed that there were differences in student learning outcomes between the experimental classes applying the Group Investigation and Quantum Teaching. These results indicate that the application of the Quantum Teaching model is higher for improving student learning outcomes.Keyword: group investigation, student learning outcomes, quantum teaching]]>
