Abstract

The religious conversion discourse in Pakuseba is interesting to study; because tryingto change a person's beliefs, or a group of people is not easy work. But in fact, a number ofPakuseba citizens who have for many years embraced Hinduism, are now converting toChristianity. Certainly accompanied by changes in the philosophy of life of some converts.Knowing the philosophical meaning of religious conversion discourse becomes important,especially for the academics of the High School of Religious Studies. To know the philosophicalmeaning of conversion of religion can be done by understanding the process, and the reason ofreligious conversion in Pakuseba. There are three critical theories used in this research are:Discourse theory, Hegemony theory, and Deconstruction theory. With the theory of deconstructioncan be known the meaning of the text and the meaning of the context of religious conversiondiscourse; with hegemony can be known the process of hegemony of missionaries to the communityin Pakuseba, with discourse theory known philosophical meaning of religious conversiondiscourse. The results showed that the discourse of religious conversion in Pakuseba using theapproach of material discourse. Poor people who are hungry for education are generally caughtup in religious conversion efforts. Economic crashes and low understanding of religious teachingsopen up opportunities for religious conversion. This happened to a group of Pakuseba citizens.Philosophically speaking, the discourse of religious conversion is a meaningful transaction ofbelief, which originates from intentions out of the economic crush through education and leadsto conversion of religion. Conclusion, the discourse of conversion of religious meaningfultransaction confidence.

Abstract

The Sanghyang Sampat school is a sacred dance that is closely related to the supernatural, scenic, and is believed to help the people of Lembongan Village in the event of natural disasters, infectious diseases, drive out disease outbreaks and others. The Sanghyang Sampat school is also a means to neutralize or protect against the threat of magical power (black magic). Meaning of Sanghyang Sampat School, namely: (1) The Meaning of Bhakti, which is visualized, educates Hindus to be able to surrender themselves with surrender so as to be able to let go of the attachments of life and finally all are absorbed in God's love, (2) The Meaning of Purification, purifying Bhuana Alit and Bhuana Great because this dance is processed through a purification process. With this purification process, it is believed that the Sanghyang Sampat School has purity values and is able to purify the universe and its contents, (3) The Meaning of Balance, the relationship developed between humans and gods, humans and humans, humans and nature, (4) The Meaning of Preservation Culture, Sanghyang Sampat is a product of cultural heritage from the community because the performance is very sacred. In addition, the Sanghyang Sampat Saschool art is a legacy from ancestors who have religious elements.

Abstract

Lontar Bubuksah is an imaginative story script about a religious literary work, as a religiously breathtaking story expressing the ideals and essence of liberating the soul towards pure nature, Moksa, in the Bubuksah text there is a text structure consisting of synopsis, incidents, plots, themes, characterization and mandate. The teachings of Shiva Buddha contained in Lontar Bubuksah are a) The value of Religion in Lontar Bubuksah tends to be Masteristic in nature which takes the source of the Shiva doctrine (Bhatara Guru) as the supreme deity. Gagakaking represents the Shiva doctrine while Bubuksah represents Buddhist doctrine. b) The value of Chastity in Lontar Bubuksah is played by Gagakaking with all its behavior based on spiritual purity (understanding sudha sridanta) c) The Lascarya value in Lontar Bubuksah played by Bubuksah by keeping the patinya and all kinds of behavior that carry out the brata  understand bherawa samyadnyana). The meaning of Shiva Buddha's teachings contained in Lontar Bubuksah are 1) Religious Meanings, 2) Happiness Meanings, 3) Liberation Meanings and 4) Shiva and Buddhist Meanings which can be seen through the two main figures namely Gagakaking is a refresentation of Shivaism and Bubuksah as a refresentation of Buddhism

Abstract

Maayu-ayu Ceremony is held at Bale Mas Temple Pakraman Sudaji Village, Sawan Subdistrict, Buleleng Regency every year which falls on Purnama Sasih kaulu to Purnama Sasih Kasanga. Maayu-ayu Ceremony is a religious ceremony to be carried out as a series of ceremonies aimed at getting the good and achieve happiness in a celebration. Maayu-ayu ceremony in Bale Mas Temple has a uniqueness that can be seen in Maayu-ayu ceremony, namely Maayu-ayu ceremony is held for 30 consecutive days from Purnama Sasih kaulu to Purnama Sasih Kasanga. The results are (1) the Maayu-ayu Ceremony starts from the Pujawali Ceremony, then the Maayu-ayu Ceremony in the afternoon and the Nyineb Ceremony at the end of the Maayu-ayu Ceremony. (2) The function of the Maayu-ayu ceremony at Bale Mas Temple consists of Social Functions, The function of ritual / religious, and the function of preservation. The meaning of Maayu-ayu ceremony in Bale Mas Temple consists of the meaning of preservation of art and culture, the meaning of Unity, the Meaning of Balance which is the balance of Man and God, The Meaning of Maayu-ayu Ceremony includes: (a) Ethical value, which is moral knowledge shown by the people of Sudaji Village, (b) Aesthetic Value, namely the beauty value contained in the Maayu-ayu Ceremony can be seen from the facilities used, (c) Religious social values, namely the mutual mutual cooperation attitude of the Sudaji Village community and (d) the Divine Value, the Maayu-ayu Ceremony, is carried out because of trust society towards God Almighty and their manifestations.

Abstract

The material taught in Pasraman Widya Prakanty Br. Bayad, Kedisan Village,Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency as follows: Meaning and function of upakara means. Constraints experienced by Pasraman Widya Prakanty in improving the education of Hindu students are: lack of facilities and  nfrastructure that support pasraman activities, lack of coaches or competent teachers in accordance with the program of religious development so that nowstill fostered by personnel who are not their field. Pasraman Widya Prakanty’s contribution in improving the education of Hindu students is contribution in the field of education and contribution in the religious field. Based on the above conclusions can be submitted suggestions as follows. From the description of the implementation of Pasraman Widya Prakanty, to the customary teachers, teachers and the community still programmed pasraman and managed  rofessionally. Suggested to Hindu children, should be more appreciate and practice the teachings of religion as a guide in doing so not fall into the things that are misleading. Thus religious and cultural values can be maintained and sustainable. To other researchers who are interested in researching this issue to be more broadly developed, about the scope and point of view are different, especially the things that are not reached in this study. So that obtained a better result and more perfect.

Abstract

Diskusi mengenai manusia memang tidak akan pernah ada habisnya. Salah satu hal yang selalu menjadi diskusi menarik mengenai manusia adalah bagaimana manusia hidup dengan ideal agar tujuan hidup manusia itu sendiri dapat terwujud. Berbagai macam pandangan dari berbagai macam mazhab filsafat hingga agama membahas mengenai hal ini, tidak terkecuali filsafat Stoic yang disebut juga Stoicism, Stoisisme, filsafat Stoa atau di Indonesia juga popular dengan nama Filsafat Teras. Stoisisme melalui ajaran-ajarannya yang implementatif membantu manusia untuk mengatasi emosi negative serta membentuk mental yang tangguh dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan kehidupan, sehingga Stoisisme dianggap jauh dari kesan berat dan mengawang-ngawang seperti yang sering dilekatkan kepada filsafat secara umum. Stoisisme juga dianggap bersifat sangat praktis dan relevan dengan kehidupan masa kini. Apabila dikaji lebih jauh, ajaran dari Stoisisme ini sejalan dengan ajaran agama Hindu. Agama Hindu juga mengandung banyak ajaran untuk membentuk karakter manusia, dimana ajaran tersebut bersifat praktis, universal dan masih sangat relevan dengan kehidupan manusia saat ini. Perpaduan dari implementasi filsafat Stoisisme dan ajaran Agama Hindu akan menghasilkan ajaran-ajaran kebijaksanaan yang dapat membentuk karakter manusia khususnya manusia Hindu yang tangguh.

Abstract

Philosophy is an attitude towards life and nature. Philosophers use different terminology and points of view in seeing nature according to their respective backgrounds and interests. Spinoza as a philosopher in the 17th century used rationalism and mysticism in conveying his thoughts. Through his philosophy, Spinoza tries to instill an inclusive, pluralist insight into society. With the hope that everyone can live in a society with peace, tolerance, mutual respect for each other's differences and diversity. To be happy, each individual must uphold ethics. Because the goal of ethics is happiness. Happiness is freedom. True freedom is an understanding of various needs which will ultimately be able to free oneself from emotional turmoil that misleads logic. Pantheism is the belief that everywhere is God or every aspect of nature is described as being controlled by God. Pantheism contains various fundamental aspects of harmony that humans need, such as love, brotherhood, tolerance, peace and so on. As much as possible, every individual makes use of the freedom he has in normative ways in order to create welfare for all living things.

Abstract

Commodification today penetrates various aspects of life, including Lilis Lamiang as one of the means of Hindu Kaharingan religious ceremonies. Commodification of Lilis Lamiang has various impacts, one of which causes a decrease in people's understanding to Kaharingan Hindus about the value of Kaharingan Hindu theology on Lilis Lamiang. Based on this phenomenon, researchers conducted an in-depth study using qualitative methods using literature data and interviews with clergy to find answers to problems about the value of Kaharingan Hindu theology to lilis lamiang commodification. This study is needed to avoid the extinction of Lilis Lamiang's value which affects kaharingan Hindus' belief in their religion. In addition, this research was able to enrich the study related to Kaharingan Hindu religion and its dynamics. The results of this study found the value of Kaharingan Hindu theology in Lilis Lamiang, namely as a symbol of Kaharingan Hindu beliefs against Ranying Hatalla Langit as written in The Panaturan Scripture Article 27. Furthermore, commodification of Lilis Lamiang is acceptable as long as it does not exceed the limit. In addition, modifications that appear along with commodification are considered capable of giving a new color in the use of Lilis Lamiang, making it more beautiful.Keywords: komodifikasi, teologi Hindu Kaharingan, Lilis Lamiang

Abstract

There are six recognized religions and growing in Indonesia, besides that there is also a growing local trust and co-exist in the lives of its people. Is Kejawen, one of the local wisdom archipelago that developed in Java. Its existence up in the postmodern age is enough to get attention, Karl Marx criticize religion as an opiate of the people, and bring it within alinenasi, development Kejawen always steady to date and changes in the pattern of community life that have started to develop and leave the spiritual things, and doctrine which raises curiosity. The highlight teachings and doctrine is manunggaling kawula Ian gusti and sangkan paraning who is also a belief Keratoon Palace almost all of Java. If explored further Kejawen doctrine resembles the Hindu-Buddhist doctrine, which in its development even further is a syncretism between Islam and Hindu-Buddhist.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the stylistic aspects which include text schemes, message structures, and language structures in the Watugunung story and also to reveal the meaning behind the symbols of Hindu rituals in the Watugunung story. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Primary data were obtained from the Satua Watugunung text, while secondary data were obtained from books and online publications that supported the research discussion. The data collected is then selected to assist the analysis and the final step is drawing conclusions. The result of this research is that various forms of Balinese local wisdom are neatly stored in Balinese literary works. Balinese oral literature as a form of Balinese purwa literature has a role in maintaining the local wisdom of Balinese culture. specifically in Watugunung research, the stylistic elements contained in the Watugunung story are known and the meaning behind the symbols in the Watugunung story is revealed.Keywords: Stylistics, Semiotics, Watugunung
