Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine consumers who still consume cooking oil. The research method that the researcher has done is using a quantitative method. The population in this study are consumers in Indonesia. Analysis and data collection was done by filling out a questionnaire via google. The results of this study stated that as many as 89.8% of 59 respondents stated that it was very influential that the increase in cooking oil prices was very influential in daily life for consumers, as many as 86.4% of 59 respondents stated that it was very helpful that the efforts of the ministry of trade regarding policy one price of Rp.14,000 per liter of cooking oil, 64.4% of 59 respondents said it was very appropriate in the government's efforts to handle the increase in cooking oil prices, as many as 55.9% of 59 respondents said it was very appropriate regarding the efforts of the ministry of trade to carry out negotiations and communication through social media Instagram.

Abstract

Vocabulary through morphemes provides meaningful vocabulary acquisition skill. Students learn to guess the word meaning by looking for prefixes and suffixes in context. The students analyze prefixes and suffixes within the words. Then, the students analyze other context clues such as part of speech around the words. The purpose of this research is to uncover the significant difference between the influence of teaching prefixes and suffixes in context and without context toward students’ English vocabulary development. This research uses quantitative study in line with experimental method. This research was held in SMAN 2 Garut located at Jalan Guntur No. 3 Leles Garut. The population of this research is eight classes of students in the second grade of SMAN 2 Garut. The writer chooses two classes to be sample of the research, they are class XI IPA 1 as experimental group and class XI IPS 1 as the control group. The total numbers of the sample are 66 students. Pre-test and post-test are used to collect research data. Analisis butir soal pilihan ganda is used to test the validity of the data. To find out the reliability of the data, the writer uses split-half method as proposed by Suharsimi Arikunto ( 2009: 93). Because the data distribution is normal, t-test formula is used to analyze the data. Students’ diversity scores averages show that the experimental group gets 40 and the control group gets 30.15. It means that there is positive progress of the experimental group after having the treatment. Based on the data analysis, tcounted = 3.5 and ttable= 1.99. Because tcounted= 3.5 is out of Ho acceptation area, between ttable = -1.99 and 1.99, so that Ha is accepted. It means that Ha is accepted, there is significant difference of influence between teaching prefixes and suffixes in context and without context toward students’ English vocabulary development in the Second Grade Students of SMAN 2 Garut on ninety five percent (95%) significance level.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of Brand Personality on purchasing decisions mediated by buying interest. This type of research uses quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires through google forms. The population used in this research are followers of the SomeThinc Instagram account and have used products from SomeThinc. The sampling technique in this study was using purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 600 respondents. The analysis technique used is the path analysis method. Path analysis results X to Y With variable Z as the intervening variable, it can be concluded that the brand personality variable (X) has a direct effect on the purchase interest variable (Z) of 0.364. then for the purchase interest variable (Z) has a direct effect on the purchasing decision variable (Y) of 0.482. Meanwhile, the Brand personality variable (X) has a direct effect on purchasing decisions (Y) of 0.312 and an indirect effect of 0.306 because it is through the intervening variable that buying interest (Z) so that the total effect is 0.618. Researchers can draw several conclusions including; 1. Brand personality has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, 2. Purchase intention as an intervening variable is not able to mediate the influence of brand personality on purchasing decisions

Abstract

English speaking proficiency is very important to participate in the wider world of work. The speaking proficiency is measured in terms of the ability to carry out a conversation in the language. To improve English speaking proficiency, It ought not to be handiest within the study room however also, it's far a crucial a part of language mastering procedure out of it as students want more exposures, engagement, and assist from which they can research. The students need to accustom themselves to apply English. They need support from the environment to improve and develop their English especially speaking proficiency. This studies is achieved through a case study. This research is performed on the students of the second grade of LP3I Business and Technology College Tasikmalaya in the academic year of 2014-2015. The goal of this research is to discover: (1) the development of English speaking proficiency in LP3I Tasikmalaya Business and Technology College Tasikmalaya; (2) the hassle of developing English speaking proficiency programs in a business and technology college; and (3) the impact of developing English speaking program to the students’ English speaking proficiency at LP3I Business and Technology College Tasikmalaya. The respondents of this studies are ten college students and four English instructors which might be selected by using the usage of the purposive sampling method. The studies statistics are received from commentary, interviews, and document analysis. They are analysed by using three steps, particularly the data reduction, the data presentation/display and the conclusion drawing/verification. LP3I Tasikmalaya has its personal machine which includes some interrelated programs to broaden English skills in fashionable and speaking especially. The result of the research findings leads to the conclusion that: (1) LP3I Tasikmalaya has its own system which consists of some interrelated programs to develop English proficiency in general and to speak in particular. There are English programs that contribute to the development of students’ English speaking proficiency. English activities inside the lecture class foster the students to apply English in the right way to communicate. English activities outside the lecture class create the English atmosphere and accustom the students to speak English by by way of training extra within the English environment. (2) There are some issues in developing students’ English speaking skill at LP3I Tasikmalaya; The students’ difficulties to speak come from psychological factors (confidence, anxiety, motivation, awareness); The students’ difficulties in speaking come from the linguistic factors (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, fluency, comprehension). (3) There are some superb consequences of developing English speaking programs at LP3I Tasikmalaya to the students’ English speaking skill along with students’ confidence, students motivation, students awareness, college students vocabulary, college students initiative, college students pronunciation, and students’ comprehension in speaking English are enhancing

Abstract

Communication and interaction in social relations have the potential to create conflict, due to differences in opinion, knowledge, and so on. Like the conflict that occurred between supporters of the Jokowi-Amin and Prabowo-Sandi presidential candidates in the Indonesian presidential election 2019. The conflict occurred because of different interests, hopes and differences in choices between groups. The conflict is getting sharper when religious polarization is raised in it. The research was conducted through a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, using literature study data collection techniques. This study aims to describe conflict communication in the implementation and after the 2019 presidential election on social media is Twitter. The results showed that the delivery of hate speech is getting sharper in the 2019 presidential election. Swear words of hatred are reciprocated in order to satisfy the desire for support for the presidential candidate of his choice. Even the phenomenon of hate speech is increasing ahead of the 2024 presidential election, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic era, through the identity symbols with insult orientation, bad accusations, swearing and scolding, or considering the opposing party stupid, and giving bad labels.
