Abstract

Constructivism approach is a concept that many talk about mathematic and is expected to become the intellectual foundation to develop and analyze mathematical learning problems. Pendekatan constructivism is one of the alternative settlement and expected as an activity undertaken in mathematics learning in order to become better and more effective so that students will achieve better result. In applying the approach of constructivism in mathematic learning, the teacher really have to pay attention to the environmental conditions for students and student’s readiness to learn, because it is as a means of interaction for them, and require attention eamest for theacher.

Abstract

Problem posing in learning mathematics gives more chances for student to achieve, change, and create new mathematics idea through active cooperation in certain discussions. Learning mathematics through problem posing, the students are seen to be active and creative in case of their competences in developing problems/questions of mathematics, understanding as well as exploring information from the problems/questions and posing mathematics problem with is solution. Then, through this problem posing approach, students’ activity and interaction in sharing idea with other students and their teacher could be improved; so that learning activity gives more meaning and understanding for students toward mathematic learning.

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of understanding in mathematics concepts and creativity Students. They have difficulty when solving geometry problems. This due by lack of learning model chosen with the material presented .the problem in this study is whether the model of cooperative learning. Teams Games Tournament (TGT) will be able to  increase the understanding concept and creativity of students learning in material geometry. The purpose of this study is to describe an improved understanding of the concept and creativity in learning geometry.This research is a classroom action research, conducted on 23 students ofclass VII-A MTs.S. Pondok Pesantren Dar Al-Maarif Basilam Baru. The understanding of the concept collected using test and the creativity of student collected using observation sheets.This study was done by two cycles and each cycle consisting of two meetings. Based on test data and observation we concluded that the application of learning models Teams Games Tournament proven to improve students understanding of concept creativity in the learning of mathematics, especially geometry material.

Abstract

Educational success is not only measured by the value of a student’s academic mastery. The learning process is expected to bring students into the generation of educators in addition to the intelligence, and knowledge students also have the character values that are reflected in the behavior of daily life. At each level of education, learning math portion of lesson hours to get quite a lot compared to other subjects so that through the process of learning mathematics expected to form the character of students.            Math lesson plans should be designed optimally so that the purpose of forming the character of students through the learning of mathematics can be achieved. In this paper the authors provide examples of the application of learning mathematics curriculum in 2013. With a curriculum based learning stages in 2013 is expected to form the character of students, among others, respect for others, responsibility,and integrity.

Abstract

Intelligence is the ability to act by a specific purpose, to think rationally, and to face the surrounding environment effectively. Factors that affect success of learning in affected by emotional intelligence. Learners who have high academic intelligence , they tend to have anxiety is unwarranted, overly critical, fussy, tend to withdraw, seemed cold and less likely to express frustration and anger appropriately. If supported by the low level of emotional intelligence, the leaner is often a source of  problems. When learners have a high IQ but low emotional intelligence level, it tends to be seen as learners stubborn, difficult to get along, easily frustrated, do not easily trust others, not sensitive to environmental conditions and tends to despair when experiencing stress. But the opposite condition experience by learners who have an average IQ level has a high emotional intelligence.

Abstract

Learning Instructional is a set of learning sources that are arranged for students and teachers guide in teaching learning process. Learning Instructional consists of syllabus, lesson plan, materials, students’ worksheet, learning media, and test to measure students’ ability. Cooperative learning is a successful teaching strategy in which small teams, each with students of different levels of ability, use a variety of learning activities to improve their understanding of a subject. Jigsaw is a  grouping strategy in which the members of the class are organized into jigsaw groups. The students are then reorganized into expert groups containing one member from each jigsaw group. The members of the expert group work together to learn the material or solve the problem, then return to their jigsaw groups to share their learning. By using learning instructional bases jigsaw cooperative learning type in teaching learning process, hopefully teaching learning process becomes more effective.

Abstract

Education has an important role in building human resource competitive and able to compete with other countries. Therefore, to meet MEA, education should be able to prepare skilled human resource (HR), sensitive and critical in facing the challenges and changes that will occur in the education world. In order, math teachers in ready for MEA, math teachers must understand the strategic issues, professional development of teachers, and the revitzlization of the learning of mathematics.
