Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan salah satu sarana untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia (SDM), dimana secara mendasar pendidikan mempunyai peranan meningkatkan kemampuan dasar manusia untuk dapat memanfaatkan, mengembangkan, serta menguasai ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Perumusan Masalah : a) Apakah terdapat hubungan Materi Pembelajaran dengan Proses belajar siswa pada SDN 1 Jeungjing Cisoka. Tujuan Penelitian: a) Untuk mengetahui hubungan Materi Pembelajaran dengan Proses belajar siswa pada SDN 1 Jeungjing Cisoka. Hipotesis penelitian adalah adanya hubungan Materi Pembelajaran dengan Proses belajar siswa pada SDN 1 Jeungjing Cisoka. Kesimpulan: 1) Berdasarkan perhitungan hasil regresi diperoleh nilai thitung (6.776) > ttabel (1,684). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa koefisien regresi variabel Materi Pembelajaran berpengaruh signifikan dengan Proses belajar siswa pada hubungan Materi Pembelajaran dengan Proses belajar siswa pada SDN 1 Jeungjing Cisoka. 2) Dari uji anova diperoleh Fhitung (6.776) dengan nilai Ftabel (1,684), hal ini menunjukkan bahwa model regresi variabel Materi Pembelajaran berpengaruh signifikan dengan Proses belajar siswa pada hubungan Materi Pembelajaran dengan Proses belajar siswa pada SDN 1 Jeungjing Cisoka.

Abstract

Speaking skill is very crucial for every human being in order to be able to communicate and deliver his or her thoughts among themselves. However, many people around the world speak in vary languages; it depends on their origin. Consequently, many or most of them do not master or able to speak in those languages. So that, people around the world agreed to use some languages as international languages. These languages used as a medium of communication by people whose native languages are different or not mutually intelligible; people are used to say those languages as Lingua Francas. There are some languages that included in Lingua Francas i..e, English. This research is aimed to investigate and explore the use of VOKI to support the enhancement of first grade students’ speaking skills at SMPN 4 Tambun Selatan, Bekasi. The method used in this research is qualitative approach, and it applied Research and Development technique. In this case, the writer collected the data by using observation, structural interview, questionnaire and documentation. The interview was done for the students of first grade students’ speaking skills at SMPN 4 Tambun Selatan, Bekasi. Based on the result of the research, it was found that there were several factors which influence students’ inabilities to speak in English properly, they were students’ speaking ability was low or poor, time limitation, uncomfortable feeling in learning English, lack of motivation, lack of exposures, insufficient materials, and did not know how to start speaking, and lack of feedback. In addition, it was also found that Voki had some features that could be used to solve those problems of the research, the problems of students in speaking English properly. This research can be concluded that the use of Voki as a media to enhance students’ speaking skills to promote the extensive learning at SLTPN 4 Tambun Selatan is useful. It is proven by several problems that hinder the teaching learning process are solved.

Abstract

Berdasarkan studi pendahuluan pada siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu (MIT) Nurul Iman, Tanah Baru, Depok. Diperoleh keterangan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik guru dan penerapan metode Qiraati dalam proses pembelajaran sudah baik akan tetapi masih ada siswa yang kurang dalam kemampuan baca Al-Qur’an. Berdasarkan fenomena empirik yang terjadi dilapangan maka penulis merasa tertarik untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik guru dan penerapan metode Qiraati terhadap kemampuan baca Al-Qur’an.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kompetensi pedagogik guru terhadap kemampuan baca Al-Qur’an dan pengaruh penerapan metode Qiraati terhadap kemampuan baca Al-Qur’an. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Terpadu (MIT) Nurul Iman, Tanah Baru, Kecamatan Beji, Kota Depok yang berjumlah 450 siswa, sedangkan sampelnya berjumlah 115 siswa. Intrumen penelitian yang digunakan diantaranya adalah angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumen. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan pengujian persyaratan analisis, pengujian hipotesis, dan mendescripsikan hasil penelitian.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh keterangan bahwa: 1)Variabel Kompetensi Pedagogik guru memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kemampuan baca Al-Qur’an dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 73,8% 2). Variabel penerapan metode Qiraati memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap kemampuan baca Al-Qur’an dengan nilai korelasi sebesar 57,0% dan 3). Kompetensi pedagogik guru dan penerapan metode Qiraati memberi pengaruh terhadap kemampuan baca Al-Qur`an dengan nilai koefisiensi korelasi sebesar 57,1%. Ini memberikan makna bahwa kemampuan baca Al-Qur`an sangat dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi pedagogik guru dan penerapan metode Qiraati yang baik, sehingan harus dikembangkan terus menerus agar kemampuan baca Al-Qur`an makin baik, benar dan meningkat.

Abstract

Peran kepemimpinan pada sebuah institusi pendidikan menjadi sangat fundamental dalam menjadikan institusinya sebagai organisasi belajar. Untuk dapat mewujudkan organisasi belajar, maka seorang pemimpin pada sebuah institusi pendidikan dituntut untuk mampu melaksanakan peranan-peranannya secara terpadu. Dalam hal ini, penulis mengangkat peranan wirausaha atau entrepreneur dari seorang pemimpin dalam mewujudkan organisasi belajar. Melalui organisasi belajar, akan terwujud institusi pendidikan yang unggul sehingga mampu bersaing secara nasional maupun internasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan lebih rinci tentang pelaksanaan peran kepemimpinan dalam organisasi belajar berdasar pada kajian literatur.

Abstract

This paper aims to discover the feasibility and the applicability of task-based learning in improving the quality of the teaching and learning process (TLP) of reading in Indonesian secondary schools in relation to the teaching of genre or text types as required by the national curriculum. This is an action research study which is qualitative in nature. The data were obtained through observations and interviews with the students and the collaborators. They were in the forms of field notes, interview transcripts, and photographs. In addition, this research applied the investigator triangulation, the theoretical triangulation and the time triangulation. The actions implemented in this research are discussing new vocabulary items and guessing meaning from context, applying skimming and scanning strategies, discussing grammar related to the text, conducting a question/answer game, providing various materials from different sources, and applying group/pair work. The results of the research show that the students’ motivation increased. They were more enthusiastic in learning reading. Moreover, the students were interested in various materials presented by the teacher. They could get involved actively in the reading learning process. In addition, the classroom interaction also increased. The students could interact very well with other students and the teacher. In conclusion, the use of task-based approach with its accompanying actions is effective to improve the teaching and learning process of reading.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the effect of emotion and job stress toward contra productive work behaviour of the teachers at State Elementary School at Bekasi District. The research was conducted using survey method with quantitative approach and path analysis technique. The population of this research is 134 teachers. Research samples selected as much as 100 teachers using simple random sampling technique. The data obtained through questionnaires and analysed using path analysis techniques. Based on the results of data analysis in this research it is concluded: (1) the emotion has positive direct effect to contra productive work behaviour; (2) the job stress has positive direct effect to contra productive work behaviour; (3) the emotion has positive direct effect to job stress. The contra productive work behaviour can be improved through improvement of emotion and the job stress.

Abstract

The current study is an attempt to discover the vocabulary size of students majoring in International Natural Science Education and the developmental pattern of their vocabulary size. The proposed research questions are: (1) What are the vocabulary sizes of students of international natural science education? and (2) Is their vocabulary size different across levels (freshmen, sophomore and junior)? To achieve the research aim, a cross-sectional research design was used. The total number of 79 students from three semesters studying in International Natural Science Education participated in the study. The instrument used was a Vocabulary Size Test developed by Nation and Beglar (2007). A descriptive statistic and an inferential statistics One-Way ANOVA continued by a pos-hoc test (Scheffe) were run in order to answer the proposed research questions. The results of computation revealed that the vocabulary size was 5,271-word families for the freshmen level, 6,142-word families for the sophomore level and 6,524-word families for the junior level. Based on the result of inferential statistics One-Way ANOVA, the student’s vocabulary size across levels are different. The F-ratio indicates that the difference between these groups was 7,369 in the level of significance 0,001. Furthermore, based on the Scheffe test, the significant difference lies between semester 2 and semester 4. Meanwhile, the difference of the vocabulary size between semester 4 and semester 6 was found to be less significant. In general, it can be concluded that there is a difference on the development of student’s vocabulary size reflected by the result of statistical analysis. The developmental pattern of students’ vocabulary size seems to be positive since the higher the level, the larger the students’ vocabulary size.
