The Journal of Management and Business Environment (JMBE) is a blind-review journal that is published by Magister Management, Soegijapranata Catholic University, Semarang, Indonesia. Abstract

Hallyu that is marked by the proliferation of entering South Korean culture into Indonesia has become a phenomenon for especially young Indonesian people. This culture includes Korean films and dramas, Korean music and songs, as well as the use of South Korean artists as brand ambassadors for local products. The influence of South Korean culture thoughtfully results in psychological changes of the generation Z in Indonesia especially those who are in the development from adolescence to adulthood. The purpose of this research is to develop a measurement scale on the aspects that are considered to have a significant influence on the psychological condition of fear of being outdated in young women of the generation Z in Indonesia. This research started by looking for the results of relevant studies. Upon the collection of the references, items that were tested for validity and reliability were formulated. The pre-test was conducted by involving 50 young women of the generation Z in Indonesia. After being declared valid and reliable, further tests was conducted to find indicators that have high loading factor values by involving 100 respondents. The study results in three constructs comprising interest on the Korean culture, social circle acceptance, and intention to consume Korean cultural products. Business people can use the questionnaire for increasing the sales figure.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of website design, e-trust and e-service quality either partially or simultaneously to purchase decision. The sample was 86 customers of the coffee shop Janji Jiwa at Tembalang Semarang. The analysis techniques used were multiple linear regression with least squares equation, the coefficient of determination, and t-statistics and F statistics for testing the hypotheses partially and simultaneously using 5% level of significance. The results indicate that website design, e-trust, and e-service quality have a significant effect on online purchase decisions either partially or simultaneously.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of e-commerce on purchase decision in the case of the online store of Wingko Babat NN. Meniko at Tokopedia. It applies a quantitative approach with four independent variables comprising ease of use, trust, information quality, and service quality and dependent variable of purchase decision. The data was collected using questionnaire which had been tested for its validity and reliability prior to its distribution and was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that partially ease of use, trust, information quality, and service quality do not significantly influence purchase decision. However, they simultaneously have a significant effect on purchase decision.

Abstract

MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises) are a crucial component of global economic expansion and exert a substantial influence on employment creation worldwide. Proper staff management is a critical determinant of success and sustainability for MSMEs in their operational endeavors. This study examines personnel management techniques and practices employed by MSMEs in the tourist sector focusing on CV OBKA Mandiri as a case study. The findings of this study demonstrate that CV OBKA Mandiri employs a distinctive method in managing their workforce. The organization places significant emphasis on fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork among its workforce. The employees are seen as integral members of the firm, with a strong emphasis placed on the value of teamwork. The belief in the significance of mutual success is held by individuals. This research also emphasizes the significance of employee engagement and motivation in the management of employees in MSMEs. CV OBKA Mandiri recognizes the correlation between employee motivation and engagement in their work and the subsequent positive impact on the firm. Furthermore, the findings of this study emphasize the significance of staff training and development within MSMEs. The firm has undertaken significant measures in this context, offering useful insights into the implementation of human resource management. This study offers significant contributions to the understanding of staff management within the context of MSMEs. The findings can serve as a valuable resource for MSMEs in addressing unique obstacles such as the Covid-19 pandemic and its consequences.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate an appropriate strategy for developing KAP D BCS using the Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM). The quantitative data in the form of the number of Public Accountants (AP) and Public Accounting Firms (KAP) obtained from the Directory of Public Accounting Firms and Public Accountants during 2010–2022, as well as literature studies. The qualitative data were obtained through observation, interview, and questionnaires. The data was analyzed using EFE Matrix, IFE Matrix, SWOT Matrix Diagram, TOWS Matrix, and QSPM. The analysis of the IFE and EFE matrixes respectively resulted in the total score of 0.63 and 0.08 which indicate aggressive strategy in particularly development strategy in the IE matrix. The assessment using QSPM ended up with innovation strategy that provides the highest total attractiveness value. The KAP can utilize information technology to support the process in providing assurance and non-assurance services, such as digitizing audit working papers (KKP), audit programs and procedures, training and library of the audit materials enabling them to be accessed from any place, and developing websites and digitizing HR data.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the impact of credit risk, liquidity risk, and bank capital on profitability banks in Indonesia and Malaysia during the global economic crisis of Covid-19 using panel regression analysis methods by E-views software. The research sample was 232 observational data for Indonesian banking and 64 observational data for Malaysian banking that were gained with purposive sampling method from 2020-2021 quarterly. The results of this study: are credit risk has a significant and negative impact on the profitability of Indonesian banks but has no effect on the profitability of Malaysian banks; liquidity risk has a significant and positive impact on the profitability of Indonesian banks but has no effect on the profitability of Malaysian banks; and bank capital does not affect the profitability of Indonesian and Malaysian banks.
