Abstract

Trenggalek Regency is an area located in the southern part of East Java Province. Due to its geographical position in the south and the lack of transportation facilities, Trenggalek Regency is a developing area with relatively slow progress. There are also still many underdeveloped villages. This research will discuss three underdeveloped or developing villages in Trenggalek. Tegaren village was once a village with IDT status (Inpres Desa Tertinggal), the consequence of which was often to get assistance from the government. Meanwhile, Winong Village is a village that is also included in a backward village. Tasikmadu village in Watulimo District is a prototype of a coastal village that is still classified as being left behind even though it is located in a tourist area. The research we have done is an implementation of the ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) model by Christopher Dureau that focuses on asset utilization. For the implementation of the ABCD method, this research uses a mixed method with interviews, observations, and questionnaires. This research will focus on community development and empowerment in underdeveloped villages of Trenggalek Regency by focusing on village assets. The problem that then arises is that both Tasikmadu, Winong, and Tegaren Villages are typical villages that do not yet have or have not maximized the village assets they have. A preliminary finding by the research team is that the empowerment of underdeveloped rural communities is strongly supported by a strong level of education and institutional leadership system.

Abstract

Banyuwangi has a lot of natural potential, which if it gets an intensive assistance from certain parties: government and related agencies, and higher education through research and community service, then it is possible that it will be better able to change progress more powerful in the villages. One of the examples is the variety of potential that exists in Licin, where most of the communities are farmers. Aside from farming cassava and corn, many farmers are growing oyster mushrooms, and also many other natural potentials. If these potentials get even more serious attention then it is possible that it will be able to change the pattern of community life that is promising in improving the welfare of the community's family, especially in the Licin. However, due to the lack of the quality of human resources, it causes various obstacles in optimizing all the potential that exists in this village. These obstacles include, among others, inadequate social, economic, and cultural problems in the community. Licin village, Banyuwangi is one of the national priority villages that need to get more serious attention from various parties, in an effort to improve the welfare of the community. The purpose of the thematic community service program in the first year is to do potentials and problems mapping in Licin village. Program planning, home industry business management, and action plans making to be implemented in the second year. Seeing the potential of the village, the problems faced by the community, and how the society overcome the problems, it is necessary to empower and develop the community in the context of what efforts should be done based on the potential that exists in the village. Whereas the target of this thematic community service program is to utilize and optimize the potential in their village, to make good use of it, which in turn can increase income and family welfare. The results will be achieved after mapping the potentials and problems of the community based on the existing potential. In the future, it is necessary to do more intensive training and assistance in making shredded oyster mushrooms, so that it is expected to increase the income of community families in Licin.

Abstract

In the era of global competition, an organization is required to develop its existence. One effort to develop the existence of the organization is to strengthen the brand so that the loyalty and satisfaction of customers or users increases. Of course, this brand will become a distinctive feature in the organization. Brand knowledge is the first step in strengthening the organization's brand, especially for internal actors. As the theoretical foundation in the current research is internal branding, which consists of three variables, namely: Brand Orientation, brand involvement, and brand knowledge. The study sampled in this study was 285 employees at UPN "Veteran" East Java. each variable is measured using indicator items adopted from previous studies using a Likert scale. The research method uses quantitative with a questionnaire as an instrument and hypothesis testing is done with Smart PLS software. Hypothesis test results indicate that there is a significant influence between brand involvement and brand knowledge, brand orientation with brand involvement, and insignificant influence between brand orientation and brand knowledge.

Abstract

Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. are biological agents that have high potential to produce secondary metabolites to reduce losses of agricultural products caused by pests. This study aims to determine the multientomopathogenic potential of Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp on EKG and GN media on feeding behavior of Spodoptera litura pests in vitro. 10 S. litura (2nd instar) were placed in a box then the larvae with each entomopathogenic treatment. Besides, feed as much as 5 grams for each box every day for 7 days. Observations were made by weighing the difference in daily feed weight for 7 days. Effect of treatment on feeding activity of Spodoptera sp. on the 7th day after application showed that EKGST 5: 1 treatment had the highest value due to the activity of the chitinase enzyme from Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. Calculation of the ability of chitin hydrolysis by the enzyme chitinase is done by calculating the diameter of the clear zone that is formed then reduced by the diameter of the blotting paper containing supernatant secondary metabolites. Chitinase testing was carried out to determine the ability of secondary metabolites produced by Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. in hydrolyzing chitin. The widest zone is produced by multientomopathogenic Streptomyces sp. and Trichoderma sp. in EKGST 5: 1 treatment 3cm. Damage to the digestive tract due to the chitinase enzyme causes a decrease in the ability to absorb nutrients that have an impact on the reduced activity of Spodoptera litura.
