Hydroponic has developed quite rapidly, we can find almost in every area, from village to metropolis. Hydroponic become a trend because easy to re-implement, easy to reuse, and easy to understand. Hydroponic doesn’t need large area, because hydroponic using water as the main growing medium. Vegetables crops such as chilli, kale, lettuce, spinach, and basil are the type of commonly used in hydroponic. Hydroponic planting main focus is the process of providing nutrient solution as the main food source of plant. Nutrient solution in the form of nutrient A consist of calcium, potassium, nitrogen, and iron. In addition to nutrient A, there is one another called nutrient B. Nutrient B consist of potassium, nitrogen, phosphorus, magnesium, sulphur, manganese, Zn, Cu, Mo, and boron that plant need. Nutrient A and B are very to find in market. Nutrient monitoring in hydroponic system is very important, therefore it should be done periodically and need immediate action when found something odd. Some of equipment needed to monitor the are TDS meter, thermometer, and PH meter. This paper purpose microcontroller based which combine of many sensor needed and fusion it to one module with large display to monitor environmental condition of hydroponic system easily. Abstract

Clean water treatment is an important thing in meeting the need for water that is suitable for consumption. So far, some people in Indonesia, especially people who live in mountainous geographical conditions, find it difficult to obtain clean water for their daily needs. The hilly geographical conditions make it difficult to drill water, so the community depends on mountain water sources that are channeled through pipes. However, cloudy water conditions and unstable discharge are problems that must be addressed immediately. Because the use of cloudy water for cooking and drinking can cause health problems. Therefore, in solving these problems, a clean water treatment technology based on a filtration system was designed. This filtration system uses a combination of up-flow (flow direction from bottom to top) and downflow (flow direction from top to bottom). In addition to easily available materials and simple design, this technology is also inexpensive. Based on the results obtained water with clear quality and suitable for consumption so that it can be used for daily needs.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic had become a situation that was enough to limit people's activities directly and avoid crowds as much as possible. Meanwhile, the need to continuously improve competence in managing waste was crucial to solving environmental problems. This paper aimed to describe the activities of assisting the making of compost for RW. 03 residents, Gebang Putih, Surabaya which was carried out virtually by using the WhatsApp group. This assisting activity was a follow-up activity from the previous offline training (Perwitasari, Fauziyah, & Mas’udah, 2021). To oversee the success of the Gebang Putih community's composting activities, the assistance was also carried out virtually. This WhatsApp group was a method that is quite effective in accommodating citizen questions and solutions provided based on discussions between group members. The satisfaction of using WhatsApp group as a means of assisting in composting was quite high, i.e., 81%. However, it was undeniable that several obstacles cannot be overcome through virtual assistance, including checking the ripe compost directly, not all training participants were willing to make compost independently at home. It was hoped that this mentoring activity will be one of the solutions for empowering residents in managing waste during the pandemic era.

Abstract

The application of information technology in various fields is expected to have a positive impact that becomes its own competitiveness between organizations. However, in practice the implementation and updating of information technology does not mean that it will take place without obstacles. To maintain its existence, the Mpu Tantular Museum located in Sidoarjo City adopts virtual tour technology. The virtual tour technology is called the Indonesian Virtual Museum Application (SIMVONI). With the existence of several obstacles during the implementation process, an evaluation is needed to find out how well the system can run. This study aims to evaluate the impact of using SIMVONI on user perceptions using the Innovation and Diffusion Theory (IDT). IDT has five characteristics that serve as a general framework for determining the acceptance of an innovation, namely relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, it was found that the application of virtual tour technology at the Mpu Tantular Museum had a positive impact by making the museum still able to be visited without worrying about being exposed to the Covid-19 virus which was increasingly peaking. However, in the application of the Indonesian virtual museum application or SIMVONI, there are still some obstacles. The influential constraints are that some collections still have no detailed explanation, feature functions that are different from the usual, image resolution is still not good, and the UI display is not attractive.

Abstract

Existing techniques of wastewater treatment are not able to remove all water-soluble organic pollutants, including hydrocarbons and a few carcinogens like pesticides, completely, inorganic pollutants, and microbes besides generating secondary chemical pollutants. Therefore, reducing the organic compounds effectively would still require more advanced technology with shorter time and lower cost operations. Using a new innovative material through resin immobilized heterogeneous photocatalyst with UV light or sunlight. The specific objectives are knowing the efficiency of Dowex resin-immobilized heterogeneous photocatalyst ZnO (RIP-ZnO) and photocatalyst TiO2 (RIP-TiO2) for reducing disinfection by-products. RIP-ZnO performed a slightly higher removal of THMs, and HAAs concentration than RIP-TiO2.

Abstract

Suko Village is a village located in Sukodono District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province with the majority of the livelihood being self-employed and partly formal workers. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on jobs and masked waste. Employment income decreased and mask waste increased. The problem of mask waste afflicts the people of Suko Village. because of the lack of skills and knowledge possessed in the use of mask waste, the people of Suko Village cannot process a lot of mask waste. Meanwhile, for domestic waste management activities, both sporting and collecting waste, it is very embedded and cultured as well as committed in terms of managing the environment. Residents of RT 1 RW 1 Suko Village have participated in the collection of waste that still has a sale value. However, it is not optimal because temporary trash bins are always alkaline exposed to rainwater, and are not neat in the collection, which can affect the selling value of a waste product itself. The purpose of this activity is to use mask waste into a modified and applicable trash bin to be a supportive place for storing waste that has a selling value. In the implementation of this activity, several stages are carried out, namely planning, preparation, and implementation (training, product manufacture, and application use). The planning stage is an explanation of the design of the garbage bin. The preparation stage is the socialization of the benefits of the garbage bin. The implementation stage is conducting training in making garbage bins from masks. The mask waste goes through a chemical and physical sterilization process before use and changes its shape. Next is the activity evaluation stage. By using these 2 units of garbage bins, we were able to reduce the number of masks waste by 128 pieces of used masks. Each of these trash bins has a capacity of 0.16 m3. Storage conditions in dry and neat conditions increased sales of used bottles and paper by 14.5% from the previous month for bottles and cardboard.
