Abstract

Introduction : Chronic hyperglycemia and disorders of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism are signs of a metabolic disease known as diabetes mellitus. The disease is caused by abnormalities in the secretion of insulin or the work of insulin. Higher HbA1C levels indicate uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, and in high-risk patients, long-term complications that can be fatal. The presence of albumin in the urine of people with diabetes mellitus causes a problem known as diabetic nephropathy. In a damaged glomerular condition, kidney leakage can occur which allows proteins, especially albumin, to seep into the urine. The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was a relationship between HbA1C levels of prolanis diabetic mellitus patients and microalbuminuria levels at the Kesugihan I Health Center. Method: This study used a cross-sectional description design, with a research sample of results from the HbA1C and microalbuminuria examination of prolanis patients at the Kesugihan I Health Center from January to March 2025, meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 60 samples. Result: The Spearman correlation test for this study found a correlation value of -0.163 between HbA1C and microalbuminuria levels, with a p-value of 0.214. Conclusion: The conclusion of this study is that there is no correlation between HbA1C levels of prolanis patients with diabetes mellitus and microalbuminuria levels at the Kesugihan I Health Center.

Abstract

Introduction: Personal protective equipment is a set of tools used to protect individuals by preventing exposure to hazards that may affect parts or the entire body while working. A series of actions taken to reduce work related accidents and occupational diseases is known as Occupational Safety and Health. This study aims to describe the level of compliance with the use of personal protective equipment among laboratory staff in private hospitals in Bengkulu City. Methods: The study used a descriptive approach with primary data. The sampling technique was total sampling. The sample consisted of laboratory staff from two private hospitals in Bengkulu City, totaling 16 personnel. Nine laboratory staff were from Gading Medika Hospital and seven from Rafflesia Hospital. The research was conducted from 12 February to 17 April 2025. Results: The sample included 16 laboratory staff from two private hospitals in Bengkulu City, with nine staff from Gading Medika Hospital and seven from Rafflesia Hospital. Most laboratory staff were women (75 percent) compared to men (25 percent). All staff showed compliant knowledge levels (100 percent). However, only 93.75 percent demonstrated compliant attitudes, while 6.25 percent were still non compliant. This indicates that high knowledge levels are not fully reflected in work attitudes. Conclusion: Most laboratory personnel comply with the use of personal protective equipment. A small proportion still show non compliance. This condition may be influenced by factors such as unequal training, work culture that does not emphasize adherence to standard procedures, limited availability of protective equipment, and persistent habits in the workplace.

Abstract

Introduction: Motor development in children is one of the fundamental  aspects that requires special attention because it supports children’s daily activities and their readiness to enter formal education. The prevalence of motor development difficulties in preschool children in Indonesia is fairly frightening, ranging from 52.5% to 54%.  The purpose of this study wa to examine the influence of engklek games on the gross and fine motor skills of preschool children at TKIT Raflesia and TKIT Fitri. Method: This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, especially a one-group pretest-posttest design with the sample size for this study was 77 preschool children from TKIT Raflesia and TKIT Fitri. The research instrument used was an observation sheet for hopscotch activities and children’s physical motor skills, employing the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test for data analysis. Result: The research results provide evidence regarding the development of gross motor and the fine motor skills after engaging in the engklek game were statistically significant with a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). Conclusion: This study demonstrates that the engklek game significantly influences the development of both gross and fine motor skills in preschool children at TKIT Raflesia and TKIT Fitri (p = 0.000).
