Abstract

Adolescent thalassemia majorhave a variety of psychosocial problems that have an impact ondecreasing QOL, interpersonal relationships, self-esteem resulting in depression. The aim of thisstudy is to look at psychosocial development and the things that occur in adolescent thalassemiarelated to psychosocial. Literature was made by analyzing scientific articles published from 2015-2019 and English. Data were obtained from Scopus, Wiley, Science Direct, Ebsco host, Proquestdatabases with psychosocial adolescent, thalassemia, and quality of life keywords. The results of theliterature study were 2,533 articles and 8 articles were obtained that fit the inclusion and exclusioncriteria. The results of the study are psychosocial problems occur due to activity restrictions, lack ofconfidence due to changes in face shape and skin color, adolescents feel different from siblings,decreased school performance. This will have an impact on the declining their QOL. The results ofthe literature review can be used as basic data in the development of counseling and mentoringprograms.

Abstract

Manajemen Posyandu 5 Meja merupakan salah satu pendekatan dalam pelayanan kesehatan yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemantauan tumbuh kembang anak. Pendekatan ini melibatkan 5 meja pelayanan yang masing-masing memiliki fungsi khusus, seperti meja pendaftaran, meja pengukuran (berat badan, tinggi badan, lingkar kepala), meja pemeriksaan kesehatan, meja imunisasi, dan meja penyuluhan atau konseling. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat (pengabmas) ini bertujuan untuk menguatkanmanajemen Posyandu sebagai sarana untuk memantau tumbuh kembang anak di kelurahan Curug. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah penyuluhan yang terbagi 2 Pos dengan media powerpoint, leaflet, dan flyer. Sasaran peserta di Pos Pertama adalah kader Posyandu, sementara di Pos Kedua adalah ibu dan anak balita. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar kegiatan Posyandu berjalan dengan baik, Sebagian besar kader Posyandu di Kelurahan Curug sudah cukup familiar dengan prosedur 5 meja, meskipun di meja ke 4 kader diharapkan memiliki pengetahuan lebih mendalam mengenai isu-isu kesehatan terbaru, seperti teknik stimulasi perkembangan anak dan vaksinasi terbaru. Evaluasi juga menunjukkan 98% anak mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang sesuai dengan usianya, sementara 81% ibu memahami cara memberikan stimulasi yang tepat bagi anak mereka. Pengelolaan Posyandu melalui manajemen 5 meja yang melibatkan kader sangat penting dalam meningkatkan pemantauan tumbuh kembang anak. Disarankan untuk melakukan pelatihan lanjutan kepada kader Posyandu mengenai teknik edukasi yang lebih efektif, serta pemberian informasi yang lebih mendalam tentang pentingnya stimulasi perkembangan anak. Keberlanjutan kegiatan ini perlu dipertahankan untuk memastikan anak-anak di Kelurahan Curug dapat tumbuh dan berkembang dengan optimal.

Abstract

Adolescent female with thalassemia major disease experience various psychological, emotional, and social behavioral problems that affect their perceptions of being a woman in the future. The purpose of this study was to explore the perceptions of female teenagers with thalassemia major about being woman. This study uses a descriptive phenomenological approach. The method used was in-depth interviews using semi-structured interview guidelines, and data was analyzed using the Colaizzi method. There were 12 participants selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results was based on the theme, fear of ill- treatment, with the sub-themes, fear of bullying from friends and fear of physical violence from men. Adolescent female with thalassemia major in this study experienced bullying both verbally and physically. Verbally, adolescents receive various kinds of negative labels that are often said by their friends. Three teenagers in this study received physical abuse (physical violence) from their friends and their father. Adolescents with this disease experience fear and worry about their future as women, especially with the experience of treatment from those around them.
