Abstract

ENGLISH This study aims to examine how information literacy of students at UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Information literacy is a set of skills to solve problems or make decisions, both for academics and for personal interests, through the process of finding, finding and utilizing information from various sources and communicating this new knowledge efficiently, effectively and ethically. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach. The quantitative approach is intended to obtain information about how to literate student information at PTKIN. The study was conducted on users in the library of Sunan Ampel UIN Surabaya. Sample of UIN Sunan Ampel library as many as 167 pemusataka. The sampling method is simple random sampling. The score of users' information literacy ability at UIN Sunan Ampel is 2.864, in the high category. The abilities that need to be improved are (1). The ability to use search / search techniques (Boolean symbols such as AND, OR, NOT) or other symbols when searching for information / references on the Internet (2) the ability to compare information sources originating from print and electronic media (3). The ability to use the style of environment (such as APA, MLA, Chicago, IEEE etc.) correctly when writing bibliography (4) the ability to produce original work (not copy and paste), (5) using bibliographic software (such as Zotero, Mendely) when searching reference and save it (6) The ability to convey ideas or scientific work or information obtained in print or electronic media. The inhibiting factor in the development of information literacy is the ability of information literacy of HR (employees or officers) is still weak. INDONESIA Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana literasi informasi mahasiswa di UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Literasi informasi merupakan seperangkat keterampilan untuk memecahkan masalah ataupun membuat keputusan, baik untuk kepentingan akademisi ataupun pribadi, melalui proses pencarian, penemuan dan pemanfaatan informasi dari beragam sumber serta mengkomunikasikan pengetahuan baru ini dengan efisien, efektif dan beretika. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pendekatan kuantitatif dimaksudkan untuk mendapatkan informasi tentang bagaimana literasi informasi mahasiswa di PTKIN. Penelitian dilakukan pada pemustaka di perpustakaan UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya. Sampel pemustaka UIN Sunan Ampel sebanyak 167 pemusataka. Metode pengambilana sampel adalah simple random sampling. Skor kemampuan literasi informasi pemustaka di UIN Sunan Ampel sebesar 2,864, masuk pada kategori tinggi. Kemampuan yang perlu ditingkatkan adalah adalah (1). Kemampuan menggunakan teknik penelusuran/pencarian (simbol Boolean seperti AND, OR, NOT) atau simbol lain ketika mencari informasi/referensi di Internet (2) kemampuan membandingkan sumber informasi yang berasal dari media cetak dan media elektronik (3). Kemampuan menggunakan gaya selingkung (seperti APA, MLA, Chicago, IEEE dsb) dengan tepat ketika menulis daftar pustaka (4) kemampuan menghasilkan karya yang orisinal (tidak melakukan copy paste), (5) menggunakan software bibliografi (seperti Zotero, Mendely) ketika mencari referensi dan menyimpannya (6) Kemampuan menyampaikan ide atau karya ilmiah atau informasi yang didapat kedalam media cetak atau elektronik.. Faktor penghambat dalam pengembangan literasi informasi adalah kemampuan literasi informasi SDM (pegawai atau petugas) masih lemah.

Abstract

This research explained about college student’s information seeking behavior through LINE Kabim Universitas Padjadjaran Official Account. The purpose of this research is to obtained information about college student’s information seeking behavior through LINE Kabim Universitas Padjadjaran Official Account according to information search process model by Carol Khulthau. Khulthau divided information search process into 6 stages: initiation, selection, exploration, formulation, collection, and presentation. This research is quantitative method with descriptive analysis survey. The data were collected by using questionnaire, interview, and literature study. The population of this research was Universitas Padjadjaran college students who add LINE Kabim Universitas Padjadjaran Official Account. This research used quota based sampling and obtained 99 Bidikmisi scholarship recipients as respondent in total. Based on research finding the result of respondents’ initiation process is high, respondents’ selection process is high, respondents’ exploration process is high, respondents’ formulation process is high, respondents’ collection process is high, and respondents’ presentation process is high.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of computer network technology in the dissemination of information at the Trenggalek Vocational High School 1 Library. This study covers the efforts of librarians in disseminating information and also examines the role of computer network technology in theVacational High School 1 Trenggalek Library. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in this study use direct observation (observation) and also interviews. The researcher also had time to ask some questions that were related to the research conducted. Participants in this study were librarians and also IT staff at the Vacational High School 1 Trenggalek Library. Information dissemination is done by distributing flyers and pamphlets in print and digital forms to school residents, especially those intended by students and teachers. Direct submission in the form of an announcement in the form of an appeal and in the form of a user education is intended to educate students about the procedures for utilizing collections and also the introduction of libraries. The information submitted is usually in the latest collections in the library, both books and systems that have been developed. Through a computer network, the processes related to library services can be done quickly and automatically, starting from searching library materials, borrowing, returning, and also calculating fines.

Abstract

Testing the effect of library service quality on satisfaction with library facilities as a moderating variable will be the aim of this study. The population of this study was the students of Economics Faculty University of Semarang Academy Year 2019/2020. All members of the population have homogeneous properties so that researchers use non-probability convenience sampling technique with 100 students. The method of analysis : validity test, reliability twst, heterocedasticity test, normality test, multicollinearity test, coefficient of determination (R²), hypothesis test, MRA (Moderated Regression Analysis) test and linear regression models.The results of study are the variable quality of library services have a positive and significant effect on satisfaction. Variable library facility significantly strengthen the positive relationship between of library services quality on satisfaction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi terobosan yang dilakukan oleh perpustakaan UIN Malang dalam rangka membangun library digital berbasis literasi. Signifikansi terobosan ini sangat penting, mengingat dengan strategi ini perpustakaan UIN Malang diakui secara internasional sebagai perpustakaan berbasis web terbaik di tanah air. Untuk membongkar data dengan tepat, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis case study dokumentatif. Di mana data primer diambil dari hasil survey dan dokumentasi beserta pengamatan terpusat. Tahap akhir metode penelitian dilakukan dengan analisis data triangulasi sumber. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan, didapat beberapa temuan penting. pertama, terobosan pengembangan literasi perpustakaan dimulai dengan perapian catalog melalui program union catalog, library catalog dan integrated catalog. Kedua, diberlakukannya program history dan SMS reminder untuk mencatat data pemustaka yang sedang menggunakan layanan perpustakaan, mulai dari peminjaman, masa peminjaman, pengingat bila melewati batas limid peminjaman serta denda yang harus ditanggung jika melewati batas masa. Ketiga, dilakukan integrasi sistem library secara institusional. Terobosan ini menghubungan seluruh koleksi pustaka dari sektor paling rendah sampai pada perpustakaan pascasarjana. Maka pemustaka tinggal mencari dimana koleksi yang diperlukan berada. Integrasi ini bukan hanya secara kelembagaan internal UIN Malang, melainkan bersama dengan 38 perguruan tinggi. Keempat, keterbukaan akses pustaka secara total dan bersifat full teks. Pemustaka dan masyarakat dapat mengakses hasil penelitian tugas akhir, mulai dari skripsi, tesis sampai dengan disertasi dan bahkan artikel jurnal di setiap program studi.

Abstract

Perpustakaan di Indonesia saat ini telah banyak melakukan sistem otomasi perpustakaan khususnya perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Munculnya perangkat lunak otomasi perpustakaan yang sumber terbuka (open source software) mempercepat pertumbuhan implementasi sistem otomasi di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Modul Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) merupakan modul penelusuran informasi yang sangat penting bagi pengguna sehingga semua perangkat lunak otomasi menyediakan modul ini. OPAC berfungsi untuk memudahkan pengguna untuk menemukan informasi yang dibutuhkan dengan cepat dan tepat sehingga semua perangkat lunak sistem otomasi menyediakan modul ini. Namun evaluasi terhadap kemampuan OPAC masing-masing perangkat lunak yang digunakan oleh perpustakaan baik yang dikembangkan sendiri, berbayar maupun yang berasal dari sumber terbuka, belum banyak dikaji sehingga belum terlihat kemampuan dan kelemahannya.

Abstract

The focus of the problems in this study are: 1) What information needs must be met by students in completing their final assignments at the Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FTK) Faculty of UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya? and 2) What is the role of libraries in meeting the information needs of students who complete their final assignments at FTK UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya? The results, it shows that Information needed by students of the FTK at UIN Sunan Ampel in completing their final project is all collections available in the library, both printed and digital. Print collections such as books, dictionaries, journals, research results are the most sought-after sources of information, and this can be obtained through the use of general collections, reservoirs and serials, specials, references, and corners. Other information needs are fulfilled from digital collections in the form of repositories that can be available through the website http://repository.uinsby.ac.id. The Sunan Ampel UIN library has a significant role in fulfilling the information needs of students who are in the process of completing their final assignments. There are at least two supporting indicators, namely the level of visitor visits which reached 141,438 students in a year or 11,786 people each month and book-borrowing transactions totaling 75,110 copies only in the period January to August 2019 or an average of 9,388 copies per month. Several reasons that make students prefer to visit the library compared to other places such as bookstores are due to the dampness and variety of collections, comfortable places, easy access to collection utilization, friendly staff, and the suitability of collections to scientific needs.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the quality of i-bagendit digital services with the image of the Library and Archives Office of Garut Regency, West Java Province. The variables of digital service quality include aspects of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and aspects of physical products. As for the dependent variable, namely about image. For the theoretical basis using Anthony Giddens' structuration theory which formulates the production and reproduction of members of the social system as resources in interaction. The approach used in this study uses a quantitative approach with a survey explanatory research type. The population in this study were members of the i-bagendit digital library with the sampling technique using simple random sampling (simple random sampling). For data collection techniques are carried out through interview questionnaires and through literature study. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the results of the sub-variable testing of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and physical products with the image of the Office of Library and Archives of West Java Province show a significant or significant relationship. So in general conclusions from this study illustrates that the quality of i-bagendit digital services is related to the image of the Garur Regency Library and Archives Office, West Java Province, meaning that the quality of i-Bagendit digital services with aspects of reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and products Physical response by library users is positive, it will form a positive image of the library institution.

Abstract

The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020 had many impacts on normal human activities, including the activities of the Sunan Ampel UIN Library.Offline or offline service activities are temporarily suspended, this is due to avoiding direct contact with users as a precautionary measure and transmission of Covid-19. The purpose of this study is to determine how much the level of user needs to visit the library website. The research method used in this research is literature study and action research method. Literature study is to see scientific concepts related to library science and action research methods to carry out research that is carried out continuously through reciprocal collaboration between librarians and users, until solutions to problems are found in the library. The data is processed and presented in numerical form and presented descriptively. The results of this study are that the need for online services is very important for users as an effective form of information communication. Information services related to information sources in supporting research for students and lecturers are still very much needed through subscriptions to journal databases and e-books, the UIN library can collaborate between other libraries. Library services are required to provide optimal online services, a change from manual services (offline) to digital services (online)

Abstract

Labor productivity is a major thing that generated real by employees under the auspices of an organization, is no exception librarian. Librarians work productivity is generally influenced by various factors. One of the factors that can affect work productivity is the environment in which they work. This study aimed to determine the influence of interior design workspace to work productivity librarian at the Library of the State University of Surabaya. This study uses a quantitative approach explanative survey method. Sampling using a sampling saturated with the total number of 77 respondents who are librarians who work Surabaya State University Library consisting of Airlangga University Library, Surabaya State Library Institute of Technology, Surabaya State University Library, and Electronic Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya. Multiple linear regression was used to determine the effect of five variables interior design. Based on the results of partial test is known that there is no significant influence of furnishings, noise, and lighting on work productivity. Variable temperature and the layout has a significant impact on labor productivity. Based on the results of the F test is known that a significant difference between interior design factors (X) on the productivity of librarians (Y). Interior design factors have 54% influence on the productivity of the librarians at the Library of the State University of Surabaya, while 46% are influenced by other factors outside the interior design factors.
