Abstract

This research was aimed to apply cooperative learning (Team Pair Solo) as the technique to solve students problems in reading class of the third semester of nursing students in Stikes Patria Husada Blitar. This research design was a Classroom Action Research. The researcher used several instruments; such as observation checklist, field notes, and reading comprehension test. The finding showed that by using cooperative learning (Team Pair Solo), students comprehension in reading could be better than when they were taught by using traditional grammar translation method. This result could be seen from the data, in terms of the students individual reading comprehension test, in preliminary research, the number of students who passed the minimum passing grade (64) were only 2 students (20%). In Cycle 1, 10 students (100%) could pass the minimum passing grade (64). The improvement of students reading comprehension was due to the use of cooperative learning (Team Pair Solo) as the technique in teaching reading. It showed that by using cooperative learning (Team Pair Solo), students motivation and self-esteem increased since the cooperative learning (Team Pair Solo) could accommodate students to be well prepared to the reading passage by discussing in team, pair with other student, and finally they have great self-esteem to stand by their self in reading class. Consequently, students became more motivated in terms of in-class discussion and offered opinions since they were accustomed to express their idea through cooperative learning (Team Pair Solo).     It was suggested to all of English teachers/ lecturers to apply this technique as one of the methods to increase students motivation in English class and also could be used to increase students reading skill. Other researchers were expected to elaborate this cooperative learning with other technique so that there would be alot of technique could be used as refference in teaching english. Abstract

This research was aimed to analisys implementation of quantum teaching method in teaching English at five grade SDN Bakalrejo 2 academic year 2016/2017 and the problems found in the implementation of quantum teaching method in teaching english at five grade SDN Bakalrejo 2 academic year 2016/2017. This research method is qualitative research. The type of research is descriptive approach. In this study, the types and sources of data used are interview result, field observation results, and data about informants. Data collection methods used in this study include: interview and observation. is through data reduction process, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The Result research are in the application of Quantum Teaching method in SDN Bakalrejo 2. There are several impacts of the application of Quantum Teaching Method, namely, the spirit and pleasure of students in learning. The problem of implementation Quantum Teaching method providing students with an understanding of the purpose of the lesson and the material being taught, as the ability of each student to understand is different. Furthermore, it provides a stimulation or example of the material to be conveyed. Abstract

The purpose of the use of problem-based learning model with the scientific approach is to improve student learning outcomes. This study uses a class action research design. The subject of this research is all class VIII-C SMP Wahid Hasyim Karanggeneng Methods of data collection is done by observation, tests, and questionnaires. The results showed that the management of teachers in this study increased in every meeting with both, as well as student activity also increased good. The use of problem-based learning model with this scientific approach can help to improve student learning outcomes. And students responded positively to the use of problem-based learning model with this scientific approach.Keywords: problem-based learning, scientific approach, learning outcomes

Abstract

Thematic learning model is a learning model that students pay attention to SD/MI that frame of mind is still intact, and the understanding of the concept are through the real world and based to the students lives. In this study the researcher focus to the model of learning interaction and learning styles on learning outcomes. The researcher used experimental study. The study population was all students in second student grade. The sample amounted to 90 students from both MI, it means that the researcher used purposive sampling, where all students are included on certain conditions. The collected data were statistically processed using the techniques of inferential analysis of variance (Anova) two-factor 2 x 2. The results of this study, (1) there are differences in learning outcomes between students who use thematic learning and conventional learning, (2) there are differences in student learning outcomes that have a stylish visual, auditory and kinesthetic, and (3) there is no interaction between learning models and styles learning on learning outcomes. Descriptive Statistics show that the application of thematic learning (mean 80.49) and the conventional learning (mean 77.87). And mean learning outcomes based on visual learning style is 84.81, auditory learning style is 73.48, and kinesthetic learning styles is 75.09. Based on the research findings, it is recommended to the elementary school teachers to apply the thematic instructional strategies in the instruction to improve student learning achievement. The characteristic of thematic strategy can empower student to learn optimally and support the student learning achievement.Keywords: Thematic Learning Model, Learning Styles and Student Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Dunia remaja adalah dunia yang penuh warna dan unik. Dari sekian untaian pertumbuhan dan perkembangan remaja, masa yang paling sering menjadi perhatian tentu saja adalah ketika masa pubertas itu datang.. Jenjang pertumbuhan secara jasmani tersebut dapat dipakai sebagai ciri pertumbuhan remaja di tingkat awal yang selanjutnya akan dilanjutkan dengan masa ketika remaja mengalami fase penyesuaian diri antar-pribadi dan lingkungan sosial yang lebih luas. Sejak itulah muncul berbagai kelompok remaja yang disebut dalam berbagai istilah. Di dalam artikel ini, terdapat uraian seputar perkembangan psikologi remaja, mulai dari masa perkembangan sampai dengan aspek-aspek perkembangan remaja yang memaparkan tentang perubahan fisik, kognisi dan social serta harapan-harapan terhadap remaja. Kesimpulannya anak dan remaja adalah generasi penerus, mereka menjadi bakal atau calon yang penting. yang akan menggantikan tugas-tugas para seniornya, yakni meneruskan membangun bangsa dan negara. Abstract

Untuk mengembangkan cara berpikir dalam pembelajaran matematika perlu adanya pemberian masalah matematika. Adanya masalah matematika dapat menyelesaikan masalah karena dengan dengan penyelesaian masalah merupakan bagian dari pembelajaran matematika. Pemberian masalah matematika ini digunakan guna mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam menguasai materi yang telah dipelajari. Tidak memungkinkan adanya siswa mengalami kesalahan ketika menyelesaikan masalah bahkan ketika siswa memahami suatu konsep matematika. Salah satu cara yang mungkin untuk mengatasi kesalahan siswa yaitu dengan memberikan scaffolding. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan scaffolding yang diberikan untuk mengatasi kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa data tertulis, kata-kata, dan hasil dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian scaffolding untuk mengatasi kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika yaitu 1) Scaffolding dalam penyusunan model matematika dalam bentuk aljabar; 2) Scaffolding dalam membangun kembali konsep bangun datar, khususnya luas dan keliling persegi dan persegi panjang; 3) Scaffolding dalam menyelesaikan operasi bentuk aljabar; dan 4) Scaffolding dalam memanfaatkan teorema Pythagoras dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika.Keywords: scaffolding, kesalahan, masalah matematika
