Abstract

This paper presents the small signal stability of multi-machine power system over the 58-Bus, 26-Machine, Yangon Distribution Network and is validated with MATLAB software under various disturbance conditions. Time-domain solution analysis is employed to determine the small signal dynamic behavior of test system. Transtability model is used to perform time-domain simulation in SIMULINK. The simulation is carried out for normal condition, reference voltage of regulator (Vref) disturbance, mechanical torque (Tm)disturbance and network (fault) disturbance and the conditions of change in center of inertia for rotor angle (delta COI),  slip for center of inertia (slip COI), field current and mechanical torque are observed. According to the simulation results, perturbation of Vref shows only instability on the system. But ramping of Tm and network disturbance can cause large disturbance on the system and unstable conditions can be observed. Keywords: load flow, multi-machine power system, small signal stability analysis, system disturbances, time domain simulation.

Abstract

The development of social media as a source of data is now increasingly interesting to study. The social media studied in this research is Twitter. Twitter as one of the top-ranked social media among social media accessed by the people of Indonesia. People's behavior can be learned by collecting and processing data, one of which is people's sentiments or opinions about national examinations in Indonesia. Twitter user behavior in the form of their comments about the national exam in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the public sentiments of social media users about the National Examination in Indonesia. Data is retrieved by crawling data via the Twitter API. The data needs to be preprocessed first and feature extracted using TF-IDF. However, because the text data on Twitter is unstructured and very diverse data (variety), the grouping stage must be done first. Grouping technique using K-Means Clustering on Spark. Spark clustering techniques are used to overcome the grouping of data on very large and complex amounts of data. From the clustering process using Spark it was found that the grouping process resulted in 3 clusters where elbow detection was found in the third cluster of the number of clusters between 2 and 50. The results of clustering in the form of 3 large groups were further processed (with classification techniques) to get a positive or negative sentiment comparison of social media user comments about the national exam. Furthermore, these results become recommendations and new knowledge about community behavior regarding Social Media-based National Exams. Keywords: clustering, K-Means, national exam, sentiment analysis, social media.

Abstract

Agent-based source seeking problem is addressed in this paper. This problem is relevant in, e.g., in hazardous gas leak in a chemical disaster.  In the cooperative search, agents develop a formation to effectively search the source by communicating one to another via a communication topology. The source, or the search target, is represented by a scalar field y which might describe a temperature level, hazardous concentration of substances or vapor. Every agent has the information on its own position and the value of y at any instance. The agents are identical modeled as single and double integrator. Consensus filter is used to control the agent formation and comparison three types of gradient estimation are employed to search the source.  Experiments show that the proposed schemes give good performance to solve cooperative search for source seeking problem Keywords: cooperative source seeking, source seeking, formation control, gradient estimation

Abstract

Arrayed Waveguide Grating (AWG) Technology, one technique of dividing the channel into smaller sub-channels by adjusting the fixed array length increment. AWG techniques can generate coherent transmissions, which are suitable for Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM), to be implemented as multiplexer, demultiplexer, filter, add-drop device, and more. This paper discusses the design planning of AWG parameters operating on C-Band channels (1530-1560 nm), to support the needs of WDM channels, especially Dense-WDM (DWDM). Planning is done using WDM-Phasar tool and through theoretical calculations with MatLab. Theoretical calculations aim to produce ideal design parameters, while through WDM-phasar by adding the device size limit, crosstalk and nonuniformity values, it is expected to obtain more realistic design parameters. The parameters observed include the magnitude of the diffraction order (m), the length of the free propagation range (FPR), the difference in array length (ΔL), the number of arrays (Narray), number of I/O (Nmax) and free spectral range (FSR) channels. By using 16 channels of 100 GHz (0.8 nm) in the C-band, the size of the device (15000x9000 μm2), crosstalk (-35 dB) and nonuniformity (0.5), through WDM-Phasar assistance the AWG parameter 1197.347 μm (FPR), 23.764 μm (ΔL), 41 (m), 56 (Narray), 16 (Nmax) and 11.2 nm (FSR). While ignoring the device size, crosstalk and non-uniformity variables, theoretical parameters were generated at 1308.61 μm, 25.1698 μm, 43.7143, 108 pieces, 27 channels and 21.211 nm, respectively for FPR, ΔL, m , Narray, Nmax and FSR. or WDM system capacity (16x16). Keywords: AWG, WDM, C-Band, crosstalk, non-uniformity
