Abstract

Violence such as beatings, intimidation, sexual harassment, and other forms often occur in many Pesantren. Cases of violence in Pesantren tarnished the name of Pesantren collectively, received stigma from various groups, and diminished public trust in Pesantren regarding the safety of students. Violence and bullying in Pesantren imply the significance and urgency of preventing violence and creating a safe Pesantren environment. Prevention of violence in Pesantren needs to be done with an effective strategy and a comprehensive approach. This paper aims to describe strategies for preventing violence in Pesantren and their relevance to various forms of violence in Pesantren, including bullying and sexual harassment. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a case study approach. The data in this study are primary data obtained by observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that the prevention strategies used at Dayah Ummul Ayman included strengthening the supervisory function at the layer closest to the santri, continuing counseling on anti-violence in Pesantren, teaching commendable moral values, and internalizing commendable moral values. This paper is weak in generalization due to the use of qualitative methods. The researcher recommends that future researchers may use mixed methods in research on violence in Pesantren to produce more thorough and comprehensive findings.

Abstract

The purpose of writing the article is expected to reflect on the thoughts of Islamic figures who have contributed to the welfare of the fiqh muamalah field, as well as to review the operational transformation of fiqh products from time to time. The need for actualization to guide in responding to the challenges or problems of today's society makes it important to reflect on the historical development of the relation to fiqh muamalah that existed before. The method used in this paper is to collect various sources of literature from previous research or library research for descriptive analysis and find the values. As for the results, the authors found that the thoughts of Islamic figures such as Abu Yusuf, Al-Ghazali, Ibn Khaldun, and Ibn Taimiyah still have relevance in the present, the operational fiqh in the development of the classical period can still be drawn from its elasticity. This provides enthusiasm for young scholars to continue to develop their thoughts in providing benefits to their environment by upholding sharia principles, tabarru agreements between people, and the spirit of exploring Islamic treasures in responding to today's problems.

Abstract

This research intends to determine the extent to which the potential of pesantren is based on the mandate contained in Law no. 18 in 2019 about Pesantren in an effort to increase the Human Development Index (IPM) in Indonesia. This research is qualitative research using a literature study approach in the data collection process, both primary and secondary. The primary data in the form of the Pesantren Law was then analyzed in terms of the Human Development Index indicators with the assistance of several secondary sources such as journal articles, web articles, and books. The results of this research indicate that Pesantren has the potential in efforts to increase the Human Development Index (HDI) in Indonesia through two dimensions: 1) Pesantren have the potential to increase the Knowledge dimension (Expected School Length and Average School Length) in its function as an educational institution through the provision of formal education Pesantrens in the form of the Satuan Pendidikan Muadalah (SPM), Pendidikan Diniyah Formal (PDF), and Ma'had Aly; 2) Pesantren have the potential to increase the dimension of a Decent Standard of Living through their function in community empowerment with various training programs and economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Philosophy on life has fulfilled and influenced almost every lifeline man. No, except likewise with Axiology and related values with Pesantren, this study for know change values behavior students going outside Pesantren. This research use approach qualitative with method studies library research with type studies case. This study sourced from books and articles discussing a change in value in the Pesantren. The result of the study has shown a number of already values there is since formerly still something preserved inside Pesantren, like case respect more old and love more young, dressed polite, cooperation. The study found that values inside axiology Pesantren no forever can be maintained when they have to go out from the Pesantren like not wearing hijab, like steal, hard for getting along with the public. Even someone who arrived fell with negative association society.

Abstract

Artificial insemination (IVF) allows couples to have offspring without going through intercourse. This method was only practiced in Indonesia in 1987. In Indonesia itself, Islamic products and laws were heavily influenced by Islamic organizations that had developed massively within them. This study aims to discuss the law regarding the phenomenon of artificial insemination in the view of Islamic organizations in Indonesia. The opinion of the Islamic community organizations used as data sources are Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah, and the Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI). The method used is a literature study with a comparative approach. The study results showed that all mass organizations agreed regarding the conditions for the permissibility of artificial insemination to be carried out by a legal husband and wife. The NU and MUI emphasize more on the aspect of haraam law more because they uphold the spirit of prudence. At the same time, Muhammadiyah focuses more on the legal aspect because it upholds the spirit of hifdzun nasl (safeguarding offspring). There are several differences, namely in the aspect of the sperm retrieval mechanism, who is the recipient and his lineage status.

Abstract

The tradition of khataman al-Qur’an is vital for students, alumni, and Zainul Hasan Genggong Pesantren followers. This tradition is held every haul of the Kiai. This study aims, First, to explain how the process of the khatam al-Qur’an tradition held by students, alumni, and followers of the Zainul Hasan Genggong Pesantren. Second, to find out the background of Khataman al-Qur’an tradition. This research is qualitative research using ethnographic studies. Data collection techniques using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, known as data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. To find out the validity of data using triangulation techniques, combining source and technique triangulation. The research results are as follows; first, the khataman al-Qur’an Tradition among students is held togetherly through three stages, pre-ceremony, ceremony, and post-ceremony. Meanwhile, among alumni and followers, the process of khataman al-Qur’an is held offline and online, coordinated by Alumni organizations known as the Zainul Hasan Pesantren Alumni and Santri Association (Tanaszaha). Second, the background of Khataman al-Qur’an tradition is based on the al-Qur’an, al-Hadith, Qoul 'ulama,' and is inspired by other Pesantren ceremonies.

Abstract

This paper is the result of research on interpreting universal values ​​of Pancasila according to the paradigm of fiqh sosial. This research is a qualitative research. This research uses a descriptive method. The Fiqh Sosial paradigm refers to the thoughts of Kiai Sahal Mahfudh who believes that the purpose of human existence in this world is to get happiness in the world and heaven. This goal will be achieved if humans do not separate the implementation of the two functions. Namely the function ibadatullah and fungsi imaratul ardli. The first precept of Pancasila which contains religious values ​​is a function of ibadatullah which will always be connected with the other four precepts. The first precept of Pancasila, which is the spirit of the other precepts, also shows the compatibility of understanding that the function of ibadatullah is the basis for the important task of humans in caring for the universe (imaratul ardli). This study aims to provide insight to the public about the paradigm of social fiqh in interpreting the universal values of Pancasila.
