Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to increase legal and gender capacity for Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah regional leaders of Klaten Regency. Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah cadres as young Muhammadiyah women are expected to be able to carry out the function of preaching amar ma'ruf nahi munkar in the midst of rampant practices of inequality and injustice against women and children. The method of implementing the school of law and gender for Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah Regional Leaders, Klaten Regency through lectures, forum group discussion, and making campaign media which are uploaded on social media. Law and gender school activities provide increased understanding and skills for Nasyiatul 'Aisyiyah leaders and cadres with 72.7% agreeing and 27.3% strongly agreeing. However, participants increasingly have the courage to take a role and have a positive influence on the struggle for gender equality and justice in Klaten Regency in particular, and Indonesian women in general.

Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers, including Muhammadiyah schools, encountered difficulties in terms of methods in relation to online learning. One of suitable learning model is project-based learning as it able to help students develop various positive characters, including Islamic characters. The purpose of the community service is to provide project-based online learning training for English teachers at Muhammadiyah Elementary Schools in Yogyakarta City to develop the Islamic character of students during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method is carried out through three main stages: pre-activity, main activities, and post-activity. The result is that the English teachers of Muhammadiyah Elementary School has knowledge about project-based online learning to develop the Islamic character of students during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the responses, it showed that the participants enthusiastically welcomed the program and hoped that it could be continued.

Abstract

The community service was carried out at SMK Muhammadiyah Panceng, Gresik Regency, East Java. The issue is a lack of public awareness about the importance of planting vegetables and trees, as well as a lack of opportunities to do so. The purpose of this community service is to raise awareness about the importance of planting trees and vegetables, as well as how to use vacant land to do so. A workshop and seed planting are used to carry out the method. The service team distributed vegetable and tree seeds to eight lands, including kindergarden, vocational high school, and higher education. This workshop was successful in increasing partners' knowledge and skills in planting vegetables and trees for use by families and communities. It even has the potential to increase fund income in schools and institutions.

Abstract

In Tambak Boyo Village, school-aged children account for roughly 14% of the total population. The school years are an ideal time to instill the values of clean and healthy living (PHBS). Given that children will return to school in the new normal period, PHBS in schools feels even more important. The purpose of this service is to improve people's health by instilling a clean and healthy lifestyle in young children in order to prevent disease transmission, particularly the current epidemic, Covid-19, through hand washing and tooth brushing. The program's implementation methods begin with lecturing on the material, then demonstrating proper hand washing and tooth brushing to maintain oral health, and finally mentoring PAUD children as they practice hand washing and tooth brushing. The results of the activities carried out on 30 children revealed that 86.7 percent of them could wash their hands sequentially according to the five steps of handwashing, and 73.3 percent could brush their teeth properly.

Abstract

Zakat is the third pillar of Islam that all Muslims must follow. Meanwhile, taxes are one of the most important sources of revenue for the Indonesian government, with income tax (PPh) being one of them. Therefore, Indonesian Muslims are required to pay both, taxes and zakat, known as dual responsibility. In Sukosari Village, Bandongan District, Magelang Regency, this program is carried out in the form of counseling and simulation using lecture, discussion, and practice methods. As a result of the community service, participants able to demonstrate the zakat mechanism as a income tax (PPh) deduction. Furthermore, residents of Sukosari Village, in particular, can avoid double taxation (the obligation to pay zakat and taxes).

Abstract

The majority of the people in Harapan Baru Village, Loa Janan Ilir Sub-district work as manual laborers, for example as bricklayers, market workers, and construction workers. In addition, employment opportunities are also limited in number. Therefore, this community service is intended to provide SMAW welding training in collaboration with the Loa Janan Ilir District Community Empowerment Institute. The method used is the lecture, question and answer, and welding practice. The materials given are SMAW welding machine operating procedures, SMAW welding components and various welding joints. The result is to provide insight into the material and practice of SMAW welding as a provision for entrepreneurship and work seeking.

Abstract

Apart from being an organizational asset, properly organized archives are also useful as material for making quick and accurate organizational decisions. The proper implementation of archives can reduce the number of management errors that the organization will make. Human resources, standard archive handling procedures, and archive storage systems are some of the archival issues at the Sungai Pinang Luar Village Office. This training resulted in the management of archives using a problem-based classification system and the recovery of archives using an alphabetical system.

Abstract

The profile of Batuah village and its potential have not been published in a structured manner until now. Information is still distributed to the public in the traditional manner. Furthermore, it is difficult for potential investors to obtain accurate information. The use of information technology as a front line in improving public information delivery has not been fully exploited. To address these issues, the service team created the Batuah village website and provided training to village staff, RT heads, and BPD personnel on how to use it. As a result, it is easier for the Batuah village government to communicate information to the community, stakeholders can easily discover Batuah village's potential, and the community can easily obtain the most up-to-date information on village government policies.

Abstract

This community service aims to aid in the prevention of Covid-19 transmission and the success of the vaccination acceleration program for residents of the Magelang Regency. The Subdistricts of Pakis, Tegalrejo, Mertoyudan, Mungkid, Muntilan, Dukun, Sawangan, and Tempuran are some of the areas that are supported in the administration of mass vaccination. Furthermore, this vaccination program has the potential to improve health quality while also restoring community productivity. The service team has been involved in assisting and facilitating health workers, beginning as a vaccine administrator, inputting vaccine data, and finally recording vaccine recipients.
