Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of expected return, self efficacy, perceive risk, subjective norms, perceived behavior control, and investment / transaction attitude on investment intention, especially students. The data used in this study are primary data collected from questioner that involve 383 respondents which are active students from various majors in West Jakarta who have an Investment Gallery on their college. Data analysis used multiple linear regression using Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The result shows that expected return, self efficacy, perceive risk, subjective norms, and investment attitude have a significant effect to determine the investment intention. Meanwhile, perceived behavior control doesn’t affect investment intention in students.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain empirical evidence of the influence of factors that can affect fraudulent financial reporting. Those factors are financial targets, financial stability, external pressure, institutional ownership, number of audit committee members, ineffective monitoring, nature of industry, external auditor quality, the change of auditor, auditor’s opinion, change of directors, proportion of independent commissioner, and numbers of CEO’s picture. The variables used on this research if from fraud pentagon theory perspective. This research’s population is manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2017 to 2020. The sample of this research is selected by using purposive sampling based on several criteria. This research uses 302 data from 101 listed manufacturing companies as the sample. The method used for analyzing and testing the data on this research is by multiple regression to see the influence between independent variables and fraudulent financial reporting. The result of this research shows that financial targets, nature of industry, and auditor’s opinion have significant influence on fraudulent financial reporting. In contrast, financial stability, external pressure, institutional ownership, number of audit committee members, ineffective monitoring, external auditor quality, the change of auditor, change of directors, proportion of independent commissioner, and numbers of CEO’s picture have no significant value to fraudulent financial reporting.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain empirical evidence about the influence of return on asset, financial leverage, firm size, firm age, fixed asset turnover, free cash flow, sales growth, audit quality, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, board size, and audit committee on earnings management. The population used in this research are non financial companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017 to 2019. The sample used for this research consists of 195 listed non-financial companies. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method, tested and analyzed using multiple regression method. The result of this research shows that return on asset, financial leverage, sales growth, and audit committee has positive influence while fixed asset turnover and free cash flow has negative influence on earnings management, moreover the other independent variables such as firm size, firm age, audit quality, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, and board size have no influence on earnings management.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain empirical evidence regarding the effect of dividend policy, liquidity, profitability, leverage, firm size, firm age, firm growth on firm value. This Study uses a sample of non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the period 2018-2020. The sample selection in this study uses a judgement sampling method by setting five sample criteria, so that the sample obtained is 288 companies. In testing hypothesis, this research uses multiple regression method. The results of this study conclude that the variables of profitability have a positive effect on firm value and variables firm growth has negative effect on firm value, but the variables of dividend policy, liquidity, leverage, firm size, firm age have no effect on earnings management.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain empirical evidence about the factors that affect corporate social responsibility disclosure. This research determines whether there is an effect of media exposure, taxes aggressiveness, institutional ownership, managerial ownership, independent board, the board size, and profitability on corporate social responsibility disclosure. The objects of this research are manufacturing firms listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the research period 2018-2020. The samples are chosen by using purposive sampling methods. There are 42 companies that met the criteria used in this research. The research model is analyzed by using multiple regression. Corporate social responsibility disclosure as the dependent variable using the 78-items index provided by Sembiring (2005). The result of this research shows that independent board and board size have a positive effect on corporate social responsibility disclosure. The presence of the board of commissioners in the company can increase the power of supervision to be able to provide pressure/encouragement to management in improving the quality of disclosure of company information and ensuring that CSR activities are carried out by the company.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Brand Evaluation, Trust, Satisfaction, Brand Relationship, Brand Affect, Brand Image, and Product Quality on Brand Loyalty users of Dettol antiseptic bath soap in DKI Jakarta. The population in this study was the customers of of Dettol antiseptic bath soap, living in DKI Jakarta. The samples were 146 respondents by purposive sampling method. The Assessment of each variable used 5 points of Likert Scale. Data processing used multiple regression. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence Trust, Satisfaction, Brand Image, and Product Quality on Brand Loyalty of Dettol antiseptic bath soap in DKI Jakarta.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to obtain the empirical evidence regarding the effect of dividend policy, firm size, profitability, liquidity, firm growth, managerial ownership, institutional ownership, board of directors, board of commissioners and cash holding towards firm value mediated by capital structure to the effect of dividend policy, firm size and profitability on firm value. The population in this research is non-financial firms listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from the year of 2018 to 2020. Samples were obtained through purposive sampling method in which 189 data were taken as the sample. This research uses multiple regression method and path analysis to test the hypotheses. The results of this research indicated that profitability, firm growth, institutional ownership, board of directors and capital structure affect firm value, while dividend policy, firm size, liquidity, managerial ownership, board of commissioners and cash holding do not affect firm value. Meanwhile, firm size and profitability affect capital structure, while dividend policy does not affect capital structure. This research also indicated that capital structure mediates the effect of dividend policy and firm size on firm value but does not mediate the effect of profitability on firm value.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out empirical evidence of components that affect the tax avoidance. The components that affect it are Return on Assets (ROA), company size, capital intensity, independent commissioner, age firm, leverage, audit committee, and inventory intensity. This study chooses manufacturing companies as the samples. The data were obtained from manufacturing company’s financial statement that listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from the years 2018 until 2020. After selecting the sample using purposive sampling technique, the of 61 companies was obtained with a total of 183 data. To analyze the correlation of independent variable to dependent variable, which is tax avoidance, this study using multiple regression technique. The conclusion of this study is audit committee affect tax avoidance. Many members of the audit committee provide coverage to be able to intervene in determining tax policies in the company. The more the number of audit committees (AC), the higher the level of tax avoidance activities. While Return on Asset (ROA), company size, capital intensity, independent commissioner, age firm, leverage, and inventory intensity do not affect tax avoidance.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to tempt the impact of the firm size, leverage, capital intensity, independent commissioner, the audit committe, corporate social responsibility, profitability and institutional ownership to tax avoidance. Population of this research are all of manufacture companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2017-2019. Samples are obtained through purposive sampling method, which only 75 manufacture companies that met the sampling criteria for the research. The research used multiple regression method to test the effect of each variable in influencing tax avoidance.The result of this research indicates that firm size, capital intensity and corporate cocial responsibility have an effect on tax avoidance, while leverage, independent commissioner, audit committe, institutional ownership, and profitability have no effect on tax avoidance.

Abstract

This research is made with the main purpose of analyzing the impacts of firm-level determinants of capital structure that include profitability, firm size, liquidity, non-debt tax shield, as well as asset tangibility. The objects of this research are mining companies listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange for the period 2012-2020. The sample of this research comprises of 7 companies that have been selected through the use of purposive sampling method and uses multiple regression with panel data approach as the method of data analysis. The result of this research shows that all variables except for firm size have an impact on capital structure. Profitability, liquidity, non-debt tax shield, asset tangibility are found to negatively impact capital structure.
