Abstract

Interpersonal communication between teachers and parents in experience-based education at the elementary school level faces challenges such as a lack of openness, empathy, and shared understanding, which can hinder effective learning. This study aims to analyze the interpersonal communication between teachers and parents in experience-based education, identify barriers, and develop effective interpersonal communication strategies. The study is grounded in DeVito’s Interpersonal Communication Theory (openness, empathy, support, positive attitude, equality), Carl Rogers’ Humanistic Theory (authenticity, unconditional acceptance), and John Dewey’s Experience-Based Learning approach. This research employs a qualitative method with a postpositivist paradigm. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using a thematic approach. The findings indicate that openness, empathy, supportive attitudes, positive attitudes, equality, authenticity, and unconditional acceptance in interpersonal communication play a crucial role in enhancing parental involvement in experience-based education. Teachers use various communication strategies, including face-to-face interactions and digital media such as WhatsApp, to foster more inclusive communication. However, major barriers identified include limited direct interaction, differences in expectations between teachers and parents, and technological access constraints affecting communication effectiveness. The novelty of this study lies in the development of interpersonal communication strategies that integrate humanistic and experiential approaches in teacher-parent interactions. Unlike previous studies that primarily focused on teachers' communication within the classroom, this study addresses the gap by proposing an interpersonal communication model based on authenticity and unconditional acceptance, which can enhance parental engagement in experience-based education at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether environmental performance, environmental cost and eco-friendly products influence the financial performance of manufacturing companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This type of company was chosen because the company has a high level of sensitivity which is of concern to investors due to the large amount of energy expended for its operational activities. The population used is cement, chemical and mining industry companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021-2023. Sample selection was used through a purposive sampling method, during the 2021-2023 observation period and was not delisted during the research period, resulting in a total sample of 120 samples. Based on the testing of 120 samples, tests were then carried out including descriptive statistics, classical assumption tests and research hypothesis tests. The results of the hypothesis test are that environmental performance has a positive effect on the company's financial performance, environmental costs have a positive effect on the company's financial performance, and environmentally friendly products have a positive effect on the company's financial performance.

Therefore, the researcher took the indicator of developing an expansion strategy through the SWOT variable aspect (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) as a reference in improving service products and productivity, especially increasing new student admissions. The intended output in the study is the publication of a sinta 4 (four) accredited journal. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach. The aim is to provide a complete picture, summarize various conditions, situations from various data that have been collected at HKBP Nommensen University, Pematangsiantar. Abstract

The weakening of party identification has become a unique phenomenon from year to year, in the context of elections this weakening has caused several negative effects, one of which is the practice of money politics that is increasingly massive in society. In other words, strong party identification will reduce the practice of money politics. This hypothesis will be tried to be proven by this research by looking at the influence of party identification on money politics that occurs in the community, especially in the Presidential and Vice Presidential Elections in Kupang City in 2024. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using a survey technique of 440 respondents spread across six sub-districts in Kupang City. The conclusion obtained in this study is that party identification does not have a positive impact on public acceptance of money politics. The weak identification of parties in Kupang City is caused by the structure and institutionalization of political parties that are not running optimally. On the other hand, the people of Kupang City tend to prioritize a person's character rather than party identification. The results of the 2024 election again prove that the identification of community parties in Kupang City is still quite low.

Abstract

This study examines the role of destination image in mediating the impact of service quality on tourists' purchasing decisions for Dolphin tour packages at Lovina Beach, North Bali. Fluctuations in tourist visits from 2019 to 2022 have affected the Dolphin Tour business, with poor service quality discouraging potential customers. This research employs a quantitative approach using purposive sampling, with 150 respondents who purchased Dolphin tour packages. Data collection was conducted through direct questionnaires, and analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Squares (PLS) via Smart PLS 3.0. The results indicate a significant direct and indirect effect of service quality on purchasing decisions through destination image. This suggests that improving service quality enhances the destination image, ultimately increasing tourist interest in purchasing Dolphin tour packages. The findings highlight the need for Dolphin tourism service providers to enhance service quality to attract more visitors and sustain the industry.

Abstract

PT XYZ as one of the drilling companies engaged in the upstream oil and gas industry has developed a PEKA (Occupational Safety Observation) system which is used to monitor the risk of work accidents. This study aims to analyze the performance of safety culture in drilling activities at PT XYZ through the level of PEKA implementation using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that unsafe conditions are more dominant than unsafe actions at PT. XYZ in the period 2022 to 2024. The anomaly of unsafe actions compared to unsafe conditions at PT. XYZ is suspected to be due to biased observations or reporting. However, in general, the performance of safety culture in drilling activities at PT. XYZ upstream oil and gas in South Sumatra as measured through the implementation of PEKA has been running quite well. This is indicated by the results of multiple linear regression analysis which are significant simultaneously and partially and the level of safety culture of each variable which is at the pro-active level.

Abstract

Air availability has a very close influence on supporting food security. Air is an important input for agricultural production. Due to the dependence on water, during the dry season, many rivers and streams dry up and to overcome this community problem, the Kupang Regency government built a reservoir as a water reserve medium for. As one of the agricultural barns in NTT Province, it is necessary to conduct an analysis of water governance in the construction of reservoirs for the resilience of air supply for dry land agriculture in Kupang Regency, NTT Province. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach with a total of 76 people who were determined purposively, then the primary and secondary data collected were analyzed using data analysis techniques from Creswell (2016). The results of the study found that water governance in the construction of reservoirs for air supply resilience for agriculture in Kupang Regency uses the theory of Van der Kerk, et al. (2013:8) with research results on aspects, 1) Uneven information flow, lack of training, and poor strategies hinder water use; 2) No clear roles between institutions, private sectors, and communities in management; 3) Policymakers are not involved in decision-making for water management processes.
