Abstract

With the huge energy needs, especially oil, the Indonesian government is trying to manage it through the state-owned company Pertamina. Based on BP Migas data in 2022, Indonesia produced 31.4 million tons of oil, compared to the need, which was 2.2 times higher, namely 69.7 million tons. After the change of the new operator, which PMA previously managed to PHR WK Rokan, the government, represented by SKK Migas instructed to immediately carry out drilling activities so that national oil needs could be met. With the massive drilling activities carried out by PHR, where from 2021 to early 2024, drilling of more than 1000 new wells has been carried out. The purpose of this study is to map the risks of drilling activities that will be carried out in the future using the risk grouping method (Risk Register) in order to obtain an analysis of the dangers that will later be used to manage or control the possibility (probability) and impact (severity) of drilling activities that will be carried out next. The stages of work in onshore drilling are obtained from the existing drilling program, where all risks of the drilling stages to be carried out are grouped, given initial and additional barriers, so that a risk analysis is obtained in the form of initial mitigation.

Abstract

Groundwater contamination poses challenges for community-based institutions, requiring effective treatment solutions. This study evaluates the efficiency of coconut shell activated carbon (CSAC) in reducing lime content in groundwater at Roudlotut Tholibin Islamic Boarding School. A seven-day filtration experiment was conducted using CSAC thicknesses of 25 cm, 35 cm, and 45 cm, with water quality assessments before and after treatment. Results showed that the 45 cm filter achieved the highest reduction, lowering lime content by 67.86%. However, one-way ANOVA and Tukey’s HSD test revealed no significant differences among the three thicknesses.  Additionally, documents and policy analysis examined governance challenges in sustainable groundwater treatment. Findings identified regulatory limitations, financial constraints, and institutional capacity gaps as major barriers. While CSAC technology effectively improves groundwater quality, sustainable implementation requires stronger regulatory enforcement, financial support, and community engagement. This study highlights the potential of CSAC filtration and the need for integrated governance strategies to ensure long-term water sustainability in community-based institutions.

Abstract

This study explores the role of environmental accounting in preserving cultural heritage, focusing on Tenganan Pegringsingan Village, Bali, Indonesia. This village is known for its unique traditions and culture, which are threatened by modernization and the exploitation of natural resources. Environmental accounting, which integrates economic, social, and environmental aspects, is expected to make a significant contribution to resource management and local cultural preservation. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the application of environmental accounting not only increases public awareness of the importance of cultural preservation but also encourages active participation in sustainable natural resource management. In addition, environmental accounting plays a role in creating transparency and accountability in resource use, which in turn strengthens the cultural identity of the community. This study contributes to the understanding of how environmental accounting can be a strategic tool in efforts to preserve cultural heritage, as well as providing recommendations for policymakers to integrate environmental accounting practices in cultural and environmental management in tourist areas.

Abstract

The banking sector plays an instrumental role in maintaining the stability of the financial system through its crucial intermediary function between corporate entities and borrowers. Consequently, companies that actively engage in ESG disclosure tend to exhibit superior financial performance due to their ability to mitigate risks, enhance operational efficiency, and bolster their reputation. This study empirically examines the effect of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure on the financial performance of banking companies listed on the IDX for 2020–2023. Using purposive sampling, 96 companies were selected. Multiple linear regression analysis was applied. The results indicate that Environmental Disclosure has a positive and significant effect on Financial Performance, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and a positive regression coefficient of 4.134. Similarly, Social Disclosure positively and significantly affects Financial Performance, with a significant value of 0.0008 < 0.05 and a positive regression coefficient of 4.233. Governance Disclosure also has a positive and significant impact on Financial Performance, with a significance value of 0.0001 < 0.05 and a positive regression coefficient of 4.021. The Adjusted R² value of 0.568 indicates that 56.8% of financial performance is influenced by Environmental, Social, and Governance Disclosure, the remaining 43.2% is explained by external factors outside of this research.

Abstract

Bali, as a leading tourist destination, faces intense competition in the hospitality industry, particularly among three-star hotels in Tabanan Regency, which have experienced significant growth. However, challenges such as low organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), job satisfaction, work discipline, and organizational support persist. Limited communication, lack of appreciation, and inadequate managerial supervision hinder employee performance. This study aims to analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between perceived organizational support and work discipline on OCB. The research involves 180 employees from five three-star hotels in Tabanan Regency as the population. Using the Yamane (Slovin) formula with a 5% margin of error, a sample size of 124 employees was obtained. The sampling technique used is proportional stratified random sampling, ensuring that the sample distribution aligns with the number of employees in each hotel to maintain representativeness. The hypothesis was tested using inferential analysis with Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results indicate that perceived organizational support and work discipline have a positive but insignificant influence on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Conversely, both variables have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Additionally, job satisfaction has a positive and significant impact on OCB and serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between perceived organizational support and work discipline on OCB, highlighting that job satisfaction is a crucial factor in enhancing OCB.

Abstract

Preschool education plays a vital role in shaping children's development and personality. Awareness of its importance continues to grow, reflected in the increasing number of preschool institutions, particularly in South Kuta District. However, this growth has intensified competition among preschools in attracting students. Therefore, research is needed to analyze the factors influencing parents' decisions in selecting a preschool. This study examines the impact of product, price, and place on purchasing decisions, with trust as a mediating variable. The population consists of parents seeking preschool enrollment for their children in South Kuta District. Using a questionnaire, data were collected from 110 respondents and analyzed with Partial Least Square (PLS) inferential analysis. Findings reveal that product and price have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions and trust. While place significantly affects trust, its impact on purchasing decisions is positive but not significant. Trust partially mediates the relationship between product and purchasing decisions, as well as between price and purchasing decisions. However, trust fully mediates the relationship between place and purchasing decisions. These results highlight the importance of product quality, pricing strategies, and trust-building efforts in attracting parents to preschool institutions.

Abstract

A common issue in Indonesian cooperatives is poor coordination and communication among employees. Routine and annual member meetings often do not run effectively, leading to minimal business activity and transaction flows due to low member participation. Effective communication and coordination are essential for any organization, including cooperatives, yet available digital technologies remain underutilized. Management plays a crucial role in organizing and supervising employees to enhance professionalism and discipline. A supportive work environment, clear regulations, and strong workplace relationships are necessary for optimizing employee performance and adaptability. Increased productivity directly correlates with improved performance. This study analyzes the impact of the work environment and organizational communication on employee performance, with job satisfaction as a mediating factor in savings and loan cooperatives in Tanah Lot, Tabanan, Bali. The study population includes 150 employees from five cooperatives: Dwi Guna, Gunung Tegaljaya, Dana Mulya Jaya Lestari, KSP Karidana, and Kerta Yuga. Using proportional random sampling with the Slovin formula, 110 employees were selected. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Partial Least Square (PLS). Results show that the work environment and organizational communication positively and significantly affect job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction also significantly impacts performance and mediates the relationships between both work environment and communication with employee performance. These findings emphasize the importance of fostering a positive work environment and effective communication to enhance job satisfaction and performance in cooperatives.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce has boosted the digital business climate but also intensified market competition. To stay competitive, businesses must go beyond technology by innovating their sales strategies, particularly in electronic products—the top-selling category in Indonesian e-commerce in 2023. This study analyzes how Influencers and Online Customer Reviews affect electronic product purchasing decisions in e-commerce, with Purchase Intention as a mediating variable. The population of this study consists of residents of Denpasar City who have made electronic product purchases through e-commerce platforms. The research method used is a survey, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to 160 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results of the study show that Influencers have a positive and significant effect on both purchase intention and purchase decisions. Online Customer Reviews have a negative and significant effect on purchase decisions, but a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. The findings also indicate that purchase intention serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between Influencers and Online Customer Reviews on the purchase decisions of electronic products in e-commerce. These findings provide valuable insights for digital business players in designing more effective marketing strategies by utilizing Influencers and Online Customer Reviews to enhance purchase decisions for electronic products in e-commerce.
