Abstract

This research objective is to know about the income contribution, risk level of getting drop under poverty line, gap and the tolerance of household income from being poor under poverty line. The research are that is selected purposively in general pattern of transmigration program in wet land and dry land.  Beside, it is also classified into the settlement age that is 1-4 years (training term) 5-7 years (transition term) and 8 years or more (independent). The sample is taken randomly in each rural. The method of analysis using the statistical and mathematical Mesurement to answer the research objective.The result of this research showed that in the beginning term is that the biggest contribution comes from the transmigrans who work in the off farm in every kind of land. The comparison of the transmigran's househould income contribution to the age of settlement is that the more the age of settlement is that the more the age of sttlement, the more proportion of farm effor of crop. Previously, there are some household that are categorized into the poor, whether there are not poor but it is possible for them to be poor again. Comparing to the age of settlement if is has more there will be the more the survived households and the less the poor household. The rapidity of increasing the transmigran's household income is different each other, there are some that is fast, low and satable to get out from the poverty. However, in average the transmigran's household in every kind of land tends to be relatively safe.Key word : Poverty, gap, transmigration, household

Abstract

Agricultural land conversion is one of the phenomenon of change agricultural land into non agriculture. The aims of this study was to determine the effect of factors including age, education level, family dependents, land ownership, and income on farmer's decision in converting agricultural land and the Agricultural land conversion impact on food availability This study uses a description approach using Chi Square analysis in analyzing factors that influence farmers' decisions to convert agricultural land into non-agricultural land, and analysis of Carrying Capacity Rescue / CCR in analyzing the impact of the conversion of agricultural land to food availability in the Southern District of Klaten. Land conversion does not affect the availability of food in the Southern District of Klaten. From the test results of Carrying Capacity Rescue / CCR showed a value of 1.10> I therefore, the Southern District of Klaten still have the ability to support the basic needs of the population. There is a correlation between the characteristics of the decision-making of farmers to convert land. there is a real relationship between the age of respondents with land conversion, with a probability value of 0.009 the value is less than 0.05 (a= 0.05), there is a relationship between the area of land owned by farmers with land conversion, ie the probability value of 0.035 the value is less than 0.05 (a=0.05)Key words: factors, land use change, food availability

Abstract

Soil erosion represent the main factor on land degradation, especially in upper watershed area. Therefore, soil conservation effort must be done on agricultural land to maintain soil productivity. The objectives of this research are to know the level of knowledge, attitude and behavior of farmer in soil conservation and to estimate factors influencing of farmers in soil conservation activity. The research used a cross-sectional data of 197 sample farmers consisted of 86 farmers with livestock and 111 farmers without livestock. The method of data analysis used t-test and regression with Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results show that the level of knowledge, attitude and behavior of farmers at farmers with livestock are higher than farmers without livestock. Factors influencing farmer activity on soil consenvation are level of knowledge and attitude in soil conservation activities, farmer education and livestock enterprise.Key Words: Soil Conservation, Farmer Education, Livestock Enterprise

Abstract

Factors That influence Work Ethos of Local Rasetlement in Coastal Area of Village, Subdistric Panjatan, Regency Progo. Objectives of this research to analyze internal factors (family number of famers, age of paterfamilias, education of of paterfamilias and have of water pump) and external factors (intensity training and intensy of elucidation) that influence work ethos of famers and farmer fishermans family and local resettlement bugel. This research using descriptive methode, survey application methode purposive location determination, and sample selection method using Dis Proportional Stratified Random Sampling. The kind of Data is primary and secondary data. Data source obtained from people of local resettlement area of Bugel villase, subdistric Panjatan, Regency Progo, from literatur, and also related instancy. Data collection methode using observation, interview and recording. First objective analyzed with scored technique, whereas second objective with multiple linier regression. Result of the research show that (1) work ethos of famers fishermer family is less than farmer family with total score 28,3 and 32,1 respectively. (2) Factors that influence work ethos farmer and farmer fishermans family are age of farmers, education farmers, intensity of training and education.Keyword:  work ethos, farmers famiy farmer fishermans family

Abstract

The research aim to know the factors afected of rice sale delay rice farmers in Segoroyoso Village, District of pleret, Bantul Regancy. The research method used survey. The reseacrh location is determined by purposive method and intake of responder in sesus. Primary data were collected by interviewing with rice farmers in Segoroyoso village in December 2006. The data were analyzed by multiple linier regression model. The research result show that the factors affected of sale delay is area of the field, the others income and household consumption.Keywords: rice, sale delay

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the performance of PT Sinar Sukses Sentosa tiwul instant devision by using Balanced Scorecard method and analyze alternative strategy to be done to improve company performance using IE matrix strategy, SWOT matrix, and Grand strategy matrix. Method of implementation of this research is a case study, thhe method of determining the respondents with purposive sampling is done by giving questionnaires to employees and customers of PT Sinar Sukses Sentosa product tiwul instant division.  Methods of data retrieval obtained from primary data and secondary data with interview technique, giving questionnaire, and documentation. The results of the research using Balanced Scorecard with four perspective are financial prespective with ROI, TATO and Net Profit Margin calculation, customer perspective with Sales Return and Sales retention calculation, internal business perpective with capacity calculation, and learning and growth perspective with calculation of Employed productivity and Employed turn oversecara overall shows that the performance of PT Sinar Sukses sentosa tiwul instant division is not good. Based on the results of IE matrix, SWOT matrix, and Granad strategy matrix, PT Sinar Sukses Sentosa tiwul instant division can make an alternative market development strategy and development of product through increasing product variantion to increase sales. Keywords: Perfprmance, Balanced scorecard, alternative strategy

Abstract

SAYEKTI The Factory That Influence Oput Supply of "Aroma" banana at "KPK Mawar" industry in Gesing Village, Kandangan sub district, Temanggung Regency. Supervised by This research aim to 1). Analyze the factor that influence output apply of "Aroma" Banana at "KPK Mawar" Industry 2). Know the constraint that faced by "KPK Mawar" Industry.  The method that used is case study method Location determination method performed purposively, the kind of data are primary data and secondary data, data source are "Aroma" banana KPK Mawar Industry related stine and literature books. The data collection by observation interview and recording Analysis result show the factor that influence to output supply of troma banana "KPK Mawar industry are banana price and Aroma banana price While the constraint thar faced are capital limitedness, the increase of raw maerial transportation, and production tools. The most prices important constraint is capital limitedness.Keyword: Output supply, Input supply, Output prices

Abstract

This research aims to analyze: 1), market share of Indonesian robusta coffee in Japan markets, 2). dynamic demand of Indonesian robusta coffee in Japan markets. The data is time series secondary of 1981-2001. The analysis is using econometric analysis of double log linear regression model with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) and Autocorrelation. The result of analysis indicate that market share have a comparative advantage, this indexes of Revealed Comparative > 1,00. Demand of Indonesian robusta coffee responsive to price of Indonesian robusta in international markets, price of arabica coffee in Japan markets and market share of Indonesian robusta coffee in Japan markets.Key words: market share, coffee price, dynamic demand

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Analyze the strategies applied in the development of Pentingsari Tourism Village, Umbulharjo Village Cangkringan Subdistrict, Sleman District of Yogyakarta Special Region based on SWOT Matrix (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat), (2) Analyze strategic decision-making based on QSPM matrix (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix). This research is a quantitative research with implementation methods using case studies, taking saturated sampling of respondents (sampling census)with the retrieval of 30 managers. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observations, questionnaires, literature studies and documentation while for data analysis techniques will be tested with IFE (Internal Factor Evaluation) matrix and EFE matrix (External Factor Evaluation), IE (Internal External) matrix, SWOT matrix (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat) and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) matrix. The result of this study concludes that (1) The strategy applied in Pentingsari Village, Umbulharjo Village, Cangkringan Subdistrict, Sleman District, Yogyakarta Special Region based on SWOT matrix is SO strategy (Strengths Opportunty), (2) The appropriate strategy decision is applied in Development of Pentingsari Tourism Village, Umbulharjo Village, Cangkringan District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region is a market penetration strategy. Keywords: Pentingsari Tourism Village, Development Strategy
