Abstract

Analysys of Manajerial Ability in The Family Business Performance with InformationTechnoly Skills as an Intervening Variable: (Study on Craetive Tourism Industry of Handycraft SME’s in North Sulawesi Province. This study examines the effect of manajerial ability on family business performance with information technology skill as an intervening variable of handicraft SME’s in North Sulawesi province. A good SME handycraft business performance will strengthen the existence of SME’s in the domestic market and upgrade the ability to compete equally in the global market. The population of this study is the handycraft business consisting of 77 handycraft business units. The sampling technique used is probability sampling with primary data sourced from SME business owner who know the condition of the use of information technology and managerial ability in managing the business. The method used to analyze the data is Structural Equation Model (SEM) with the aid of smatPls. The results of data analysis show that business performance can be seen from the managerial ability which is 90.60% and managerial ability for information technology at 94.10%. the result of Hypothesis testing show that managerial ability has a positive effect on family business performance and the manager’s ability has a positive effect on information technology skill, but information technology has no effect on business performance of handycratf SME’s in North Sulawesi Province.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the competency of waitresses influence the service quality of restaurant in the city of Tomohon today. There are several elements that become the standard to become professional waiters, namely, Skill, Knowledge and Attitude and three elements that are measured in determining the level of service quality, namely Reliability, Responsiveness and Assurance. Understanding competency steward is the ability of individuals in their work or a basic character depicted on an effectiveness or good performance in a particular place and situation. The analysis used in this research is quantitative analysis with a simple correlation data analysis method to determine the level of competence of waiters for service quality. The analysis of the coefficient of determination to find out how much the competence of the waitresses affect the quality of service. The analysis results obtained the correlation value where r = 1.735 which states that the strong influence between the competency of the waiter on the quality of restaurant service in Tomohon City then the coefficient of determination is KD = 54.1% on the quality of service. From these results it can be said that the influence of the waiter competence variable by 54.1% on service quality and the remaining 45.9% is influenced by other factors.The results showed that the competency of waitresses was very influential on the quality of restaurant services in the of Tomohon. Therefore, the supervisors in each restaurant need to be able to provide training or provide opportunities for employees to develop themselves by attending trainings conducted by the government or in collaboration with other competent parties such as the Professional Certification Board which receives direct supervision from the National Professional Certification Agency.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengembangan pariwisata kota Manado melalui slogan “Manado Kota Cerdas. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui pendekatan deskritif. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis data (flow model). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan upaya pemerintah mewujudkan visi Manado Kota Cerdas pada tahun 2021, dengan menyelenggarakan berbagai program terkait untuk pengembangan dan pengelolaan kota termasuk di dalamnya pengembangan pariwisata berkelanjutan. Pengembangan pariwisata dalam bentuk program-program yang menarik dan inovatif tersebut yaitu membangun Manado sebagai kota “Cendekia” dengan sumber daya manusia yang cerdas dan tangguh melalui peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan membangun Manado sebagai destinasi “Ekowisata” berbasis konservasi lingkungan laut dan kepulauan. Luaran penelitian berupa publikasi ilmiah dalam jurnal Internasional, HKI. Kata Kunci: Pengembangan, Pariwisata, Manado Kota Cerdas.

Abstract

Lake Linow is one of the tourist objects located in Tomohon city and is a favorite tourist attraction visited by tourists both local, national and even international tourists. The topography of Tomohon City, which is flanked by two mountains, namely Mount Lokon and Mount Mahawu, makes this area feel so cool. Beautiful nature with the main display of panoramic mountains and hills. Flowers thrive around this area so that Tomohon gets the nickname City of a Thousand Flowers. One of the leading tourist destinations in this area is Lake Linow, a beautiful lake that exudes the beauty of 3 colors. Located 30 km from the city of Manado or takes about 1 hour drive, Lake Linow can be reached 3 km to the west of Tomohon City. The object of this research is Linow lake tourism object in Tomohon City. This research uses descriptive research quantitative method. Abstract

: Study on the design of ecotourism attraction at the coastal area of Tateli 2 village , Mandolang Sub district, Minahasa Regency. The research aims(1) to help the community for further development of mangrove ecotourism zone of Tateli 2 Village supported by Underwater Ecotourism Students, Manado State Polytechnic (2) to enhance the coastal environmental conservation in Tatali 2 Village as well as design the mangrove attraction ; (3)improve the competence of the community and students in utilizing the ecotourism based environment. The method used is demonstration method , i.e demonstrating a process or an activity through some stages: Preparation Stage, Execution stage and Demonstration Stage.The results of research show that: (1)The local community of Tateli 2 Village have local knowledge about their region as a zone where mangrove can grow for the mangrove attraction development in which the EBL campus, Manado State Polytechnic is located; (2)By involving the local community, it is possible to establish the conservation cadre group that will continuously be assisted by the proposing team in order that they will be able to develop mangrove attraction in their own region sustainably ; (3) Partner contribution, meaning that the coastal community have strengthened the sustainable process of the attraction being developed because the local community have better knowledge about their region and have a high sense of belonging.

Abstract

Effectiveness Of Promotion To Increase Sales In Maxx Coffee Benton Junction. Maxx Coffee is one of the local coffee shops under Lippo Group Company. This business does promotion to increase its sales. The purpose of this research is to identify the promotion strategies and analyze their effectiveness by using advertising, sales promotion, publication personal selling, and merchendise. This internship report uses the qualitative approach. The methods are interviewing the chosen respondents the understand the problem of the research and observing the promotion and respondents’ response toward it. The result of this research shows that promotion strategies by advertising, sales promotion, publication personal selling, and merchandise are effective to increase the sales.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to empowered the community, in this case Tour Guide in introducing tourism object in South West Minahasa Regency, especially Silian Raya District and to empowered them through their skill as a Marketing Agent in increasing tourists to come to this area, and the third, is to boost the community economy by participating in community businesses in tourism field, which are cooperated with BUNDES. This is due to no marketing strategy that suit to sell the tourism objects by the businessmen in Kecamatan Silian Raya Kabupaten Minahasa Tenggara. The previous marketing strategy through promotion that was implemented not well planned, takes some efforts and steps to synchronize, so the visitationsof tourist will increase.The method of this research used here is descriptive qualitative. Descriptive research is used to get the descriptions of role of Tour guide in increasing the tourist in Kecamatan Silian Raya, while to collect the data in this research are as follow, firstly, through interview to the businessmen, secondly, through observations, that is to observe directly about the existence of tourist in this district, thirdly through documentation which record all of the activity & the tourism objects.The outcome of this research is to put on an acreditate journal such as Hospitality and Tourism journal

Abstract

Abstract: The industry or restaurant business in Tomohon City has a very rapid growth. The purpose of this study was to analyze the benefits of competency assessment for waiters to ensure the quality of their services while working. The method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive analysis model. The research was conducted at 10 restaurants in Tomohon City. The results showed that as a reflection or image of the restaurant, it was judged by the visiting guests, which was determined by the competence of the waiter who worked, including the expertise of the waiter in serving customers directly. This is very crucial in giving a good impression or image and giving satisfaction to customers because they feel comfortable. This of course cannot be separated from a competency or knowledge of the profession in providing a table during the service. The results also show the need for competent waiters to have qualifications that are truly recognized in their fields which can be developed through trainings whose credibility is tested and recognized by the Professional Certification Board. Professional certification aims to provide recognition of competencies that have been obtained through learning, training, as well as work experience.

Abstract

Abstract: The Influence of Pacesetting Leadership Style on Work Motivation of Food and Beverage Service Department Employees at Sintesa Peninsula Hotel Manado. Employees with high work motivation will work with passion, discipline, initiative and with an awareness of their obligations to work more effectively and efficiently. With the existence of motivation, the thought, the attention, energy and activities of employees can be directed to reach the goals and objectives that are more useful and beneficial for the company and the employees themselves. High motivation in work can be achieved if it supported by a leadership style that is owned and applied by leaders in an organization or department. Leadership style applied by Food and Beverage Service Department leaders requires high standards of work and success, hopes that employees can follow the standard of work, but lack of appreciation that employees get in achieving their jobs, low employee freedom to take initiatives that will reduce challenges in the workplace, it has an impact on changes in work motivation of employees. Based on these problems, a study was conducted to determine whether the pacesetting leadership style had an effect on the work motivation of the employees of the Food and Beverage Service Department. This type of research is a quantitative study with a sample of 30 respondents. The results of the study stated that there is a strong influence of the Pacesetting Leadership Style variable on the Employee Work Motivation variable with a significance value of 0,000 < 0.05 and t count value of 5.360 > t table 2.04841, obtained a correlation value of r = 0.712 and the coefficient of determination 50.69%, the rest 49.31% is influenced by other factors not examined. As an implication of the results of this study is that leaders need to provide the opportunities for employees to take the initiative in the work they do and be more flexible in each direction given so that employees are able to complete their work properly. To increase employee motivation, leaders need to inspire employees to work optimally, provide challenges in work, and be able to appreciate employees for work completed by employees.

Abstract

Lamajang Village, Bandung Regency has 5.5 ha of agricultural land and Animal Husbandry which is managed directly by the community. These farms include fruits, vegetables, medicinal plants, others, having sheep, chicken, fish and pigeon farms. This research was conducted to find out what agrotourism activities could be carried out, to what extent agrotourism had been developed, and to know the role of the community in agrotourism activities. The research method used is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation studies, primary data sources were obtained from people who work in agriculture and secondary data sources were directly collected by researchers as support from the first source. The results showed that the Oldjang Village agrotourism has a fairly good agricultural potential. However, there is no mapping, understanding of the concept of agrotourism and the absence of facilities that support Agro-tourism Development in Lamajang Village.
