Abstract

Vibrio cholerae is an infectious agent causing cholera disease with a high prevalence in various developing countries. V. cholerae is a pathogen with broad spectrum host that can infect humans and animals, especially aquaculture. The existence of this disease in Indonesia has long been identified in several outbreaks. Various reports in Indonesia have succeeded in finding the existence of V. cholerae in the environment, aquaculture, food and beverage, as well as in clinical cases of V. cholerae infection. The presence of V. cholerae in environment such as water source is commonly related with contamination. However, V. cholerae can be found in aquatic environment as this environment is natural habitat for V. cholerae. Thus, aquaculture is prone to be infected with V. cholerae because the presence of this pathogen is abundant in aquatic environment. Contaminated food and beverage are associated with hygiene and sanitation and human is commonly infected after consuming contaminated food or beverage. This brief review has the main focus to discuss the existence of V. cholerae from environmental to clinical aspects found in Indonesia.

Taiwan was very much situated to respond rapidly and viably to the Covid-19 outbreak. Taiwan's involvement in SARS in 2003 helped drive the government to respond quickly to the rising emergency. Taiwan is not a member of the WHO, but the strategies carried out by the Taiwanese government can provide lessons and examples for other countries. The method used in this research are observation and literature study, looking for theoretical references that are relevant to cases or problems regarding the handling of the covid-19 outbreak in Taiwan. The aftereffects of this study demonstrate that, Taiwan is not just a guide of majority rule government, yet in addition living evidence that control of a rising infection can be accomplished through science, innovation, and democratic governance. No radical despotic measures are required. The government responded rapidly and conclusively in January, by establishing early travel limitations, turning out testing, and stating control of clinical stockpile lines. Taiwan additionally perceived the potential for human-to-human transmission before China or the WHO did. Abstract

The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or called COVID-19 which occurred in China at the end of 2019 has become a global public health problem. Indonesia government made and apply some public health prevention policy against coronavirus outbreak. They applied their first big scale social distancing (PSBB policy) that order people to stay, work, study, and pray at home. Indonesia government also warned people not to travel through outer city due to Eid Al-Fitr, Islamic big annual event, (MUDIK policy) which usually lead people to travel through the cities to meet their family to celebrate. Indonesian PSBB policy has flattened 7.30% of the curve according to the prediction of situation with and without PSBB. But for MUDIK policy, it seems people get scared of they couldn’t make it to cross the city to meet their family and travel instead then make the spreading of the cases were increased. The publishing move of the policy also should be calculated, because people will take future act regarding to the information they get.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia's economic growth in the first quarter of 2020 of 2.97% was released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). It is undeniable, that number is the lowest growth rate in the last 19 years. We understand that the economic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic did occur in various parts of the world. A significant economic slowdown is a big task for many national leaders. Some world economic experts even mention that the disruption of the economy due to this pandemic can resemble the effects of the Great Depression of 1930 ago. If we review the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused extraordinary disruption in the economic field, it is seen that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a sector that is quite severe. Basically, the concept of risk management is not commonly used in SMEs business processes. This is because, in general, the resources owned by SMEs are quite limited. However, in this paper I want to illustrate at least there are simple concepts that can be applied by SMEs.
