Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the understanding and financial management skills of housewives to strengthen domestic economic resilience in Marrang Village. The program was implemented using participatory socialization, interactive discussions, and real-life simulations focusing on daily expense recording techniques, prioritizing needs over wants, and strategies for emergency fund allocation. The results of the activity showed that the 10 participants exhibited very high enthusiasm, along with a significant escalation in financial literacy and managerial awareness, as evidenced by evaluation results. Based on post-test data, the participants' average understanding of financial recording increased sharply from 40% in the pre-test to 100% after the activity, while the ability to allocate income based on priority reached 90%. Furthermore, participants demonstrated a new commitment to implementing disciplined saving as a foundation for family financial security. In general, this activity provided a constructive impact in shifting consumptive behavior toward a planned-productive pattern. These findings indicate that practice-based financial education is crucial for rural households. Follow-up programs such as periodic mentoring through community groups and the development of simple recording media are recommended to ensure the systematic sustainability of healthy financial habits.

Abstract

Village digitalization is needed not only to simplify administrative services but also to support more accountable management of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). In Neglasari Village, Sumedang Regency, several administrative services and BUMDes records were still handled manually, which affected service time, data accuracy, and business reporting. This community service program aimed to assist the village in applying a web-based Smart Village application to support digital administration and BUMDes management. The program was carried out through socialization, hands-on training, system implementation, mentoring, and evaluation involving village officers, BUMDes managers, and local MSME actors. The application provides features for online letter requests, population data management, transaction recording, business reporting, and digital promotion of village products. The implementation showed practical benefits for village services and business governance. Administrative service time decreased from 15–20 minutes to 5–7 minutes per request, while recording errors were reduced through more structured digital data management. The system also helped BUMDes managers monitor transactions and prepare business reports more easily. In addition, the training improved participants’ understanding of the system, with an average score of 4.3 out of 5. These results indicate that the Smart Village application can support the digitalization of village administration and strengthen BUMDes management in Neglasari Village

Abstract

Indonesia had long been placed among countries with a high prevalence of stunting, particularly within the population of children under five years of age. At Posyandu Permata Hati RW 12, the recording of children's anthropometric data still relied on conventional methods that were prone to errors and slowed down the process of identifying nutritional problems. This community service program was designed to strengthen the competence of posyandu cadres in monitoring children's nutritional status through two primary approaches: training in anthropometric measurement techniques based on World Health Organization standards and the implementation of an artificial intelligence-based application. The program consisted of information dissemination sessions, structured practice, and direct mentoring involving six active cadres and thirty-five guardians of children under five. Success was measured using pre- and post-tests, direct observation of practical skills, and participant satisfaction questionnaires. Findings indicated that cadres' understanding improved by 35%, nine out of ten cadres were able to operate the application independently, and the time required for data recording was reduced by up to 30% compared to the previous method. In addition, more than 80% of cadres reported greater confidence in interpreting and communicating nutritional status assessment results to the families of young children. The integrated program combining standardized training and digital technology proved capable of enhancing both the technical proficiency and communication skills of cadres, while contributing to the accuracy and efficiency of children's growth data recording.

Abstract

The activity was designed as a community-engaged training program responding to teachers’ limited understanding of AI applications for instructional preparation, learning resource development, and ethical classroom use. Using a participatory descriptive approach, the program involved preparation, training implementation, direct practice, discussion, mentoring, and descriptive evaluation. The training materials covered basic concepts of AI, AI literacy for teachers, the introduction and operation of NotebookLM, the use of NotebookLM for developing teaching materials, and ethical considerations in AI-assisted education. Participants engaged in lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, including uploading learning resources, generating summaries, developing learning questions, and preparing simple instructional materials. The results indicate that the training improved teachers’ conceptual understanding of AI and strengthened their practical ability to use NotebookLM as a digital learning assistant. Participants recognized the platform’s potential to reduce preparation time, organize learning resources, and support the creation of structured teaching materials. The activity also raised awareness that AI-generated outputs require verification, contextual adjustment, and alignment with learning objectives and student needs. These findings suggest that NotebookLM can serve as a practical tool for strengthening teachers’ digital competence and generative AI literacy. However, sustainable integration requires continuous mentoring, critical evaluation of AI outputs, and responsible pedagogical decision-making by teachers, especially in ensuring that AI also supports meaningful, inclusive, curriculum-aligned, and ethically grounded classroom practices in elementary education settings and future teacher-led innovation.

Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the spiritual understanding of the Indonesian diaspora community in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, through hybrid-based Islamic study mentoring under the theme “Prayer Is Not a Last Option: The Essence, Virtues, and Power of Prayer.” The program was implemented through a partnership between the Graduate School of Universitas Ibn Khaldun Bogor and the Special Branch Leadership of Muhammadiyah Hokkaido / Pimpinan Ranting Istimewa Muhammadiyah (PRIM) Hokkaido. The implementation method began with a needs assessment through observation and communication with the partner institution to identify participants’ needs. The activities were then conducted using a hybrid method that combined lectures, discussions, halaqah, mentoring in muamalah studies, and Qur’anic tahsin training. The program was evaluated using a questionnaire to describe the participants’ level of understanding of the material presented. The results show that most participants understood the essence of prayer as a spiritual need, the relationship between prayer and effort, the importance of positive thinking toward Allah (husnuzan) in prayer, and the benefits of prayer in helping maintain inner peace and manage life pressures. The program also resulted in a commitment to sustainability through halaqah, muamalah studies, and tahsin training conducted in collaboration with the partner institution until the end of 2026. Thus, this community service program demonstrates that hybrid-based Islamic study mentoring can support the strengthening of spiritual understanding among the Indonesian diaspora community and serve as a sustainable mentoring model through collaboration between higher education institutions and community organizations.
