Abstract

Digital transformation at the village level is essential to improve the efficiency of public services and strengthen local economic management. However, many villages still rely on manual administrative processes and conventional business management systems for Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes). This community service activity aimed to implement a Smart Village application integrated with BUMDes management in Neglasari Village, Sumedang Regency. The program was carried out through several stages, including socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The implemented system integrates three main components: digital village administration services, integrated BUMDes and MSME management, and digital promotion of village products. The results show that the application improved administrative service efficiency, reducing service time from 15–20 minutes to 5–7 minutes per request. In addition, the system reduced administrative recording errors and enabled real-time monitoring of BUMDes transactions and financial reports. Training activities also increased participants' understanding of system usage, with an average score of 4.3 on a five-point scale. Overall, the implementation of the Smart Village application contributes to improving service efficiency, strengthening village business management, and supporting sustainable digital transformation in Neglasari Village

Abstract

The widespread use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has brought significant changes and raised ethical challenges, such as data privacy risks, algorithmic bias, and potential breaches of academic integrity. This Community Service (PKM) activity aimed to strengthen the understanding of 30 junior high school teachers in Karawang Regency regarding the ethics and risks of using AI in learning. The implementation method applied a participatory action learning approach through three main stages: preparation, technical workshops (digital literacy, coding basics, and ethical AI), and post-training mentoring. The program evaluation results showed a measurable level of success. Teachers' cognitive understanding of the concepts and ethical implications of AI increased by 33,33%, as evidenced by an increase in the average pre-test score from 60 to 80 in the post-test. From a practical aspect, 100% (or 30 teachers) successfully developed outputs in the form of learning modules that integrate AI ethics into Informatics subjects. The final survey also showed that 95% of participants considered the program relevant and applicable, marked by the formation of a collaborative learning community among teachers. This program confirms that measurably strengthening AI ethics literacy for educators is crucial in preparing a responsible digital generation.

Abstract

Records, as strategic information assets, play a vital role in supporting operational effectiveness, decision-making, and legal accountability; therefore, they require optimal management to ensure their authenticity is preserved over the long term. The implementation of static and dynamic records management is carried out at PT PLN (Persero) East Java and Bali Construction Division based on the records life cycle concept. This initiative focuses on optimizing records management through the stages of creation, distribution, use, maintenance, and final disposition. This activity was conducted using a participatory observation method over a one-month period to directly implement records management. The results of the implementation demonstrated improved orderliness in records management, efficiency in information retrieval, and strengthened authentication systems for both physical and digital records through the use of e-records technology. Additionally, more systematic management has led to enhanced organizational accountability and improved administrative governance quality. This initiative also contributes to enhancing archival competencies, thereby supporting the creation of a more reliable, effective, and sustainable archival system

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance children's creativity through the integration of religious education and physical education games in Gampong Lambheu, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. The method employed a participatory and educational approach consisting of needs assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The participants included 50 elementary school children and mosque youth. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and simple pre-test and post-test instruments.The results of the program showed improvements across all indicators: children's participation increased from 60% to 90%, creativity from 50% to 75%, religious competence from an average score of 65 to 80, and social cooperation skills from 55% to 85%. In addition, positive responses reached 92% from participants and 88% from parents.These findings indicate that the integrative learning model based on religious education and physical education games is effective in enhancing children's overall development, including spiritual, cognitive, social, and physical aspects. This program also has the potential to be replicated as a community-based child empowerment model.

Abstract

Strengthening religious character and creativity is an essential aspect of elementary school education. This community service research aims to enhance children’s religious character and creativity through educational games based on physical education in Gampong Lambheu, Darul Imarah District, Aceh Besar Regency. The program was conducted over four weeks with two sessions per week, involving 50 children, and integrated interactive religious education with physical activities designed to stimulate creativity and teamwork. The results showed measurable improvements across all aspects, with religious character increasing from 60% to 82% (22%), creativity from 58% to 80% (22%), and social skills from 62% to 85% (23%). In addition, children demonstrated higher participation levels and improved social interaction during the activities. The holistic and collaborative approach, involving families, the community, and local government, proved effective in supporting the sustainability of the program. These findings indicate that educational games based on physical education represent an innovative and effective model for strengthening children’s religious character and creativity within a community-based setting.

Abstract

The increasing number of older adults has led to a rise in health-related problems, particularly those associated with decreased flexibility and balance, which may increase the risk of falls and reduce independence in daily activities. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge of older adults regarding the role of flexibility and balance in daily. The implementation methods included health education, demonstrations of stretching and balance exercises, and guided independent practice. Evaluation was conducted using pretest and posttest to measure participants’ knowledge levels. The results showed a significant improvement in knowledge, where in the pretest the majority of participants were in the low category and very low category. After the intervention, there was a substantial increase in the high category and very high category. In addition, the low category decreased to 4.62%, and the very low category dropped to 0%. These findings indicate that the educational intervention was effective in improving the understanding of older adults. This program contributes to enhancing awareness and the ability of older adults to maintain their health through flexibility and balance exercises in order to sustain independence in daily living.

Abstract

This community service activity was motivated by the low literacy of students in utilizing reference management applications in the preparation of scientific papers. The objective of the activity was to improve students' understanding and skills in using Mendeley effectively and independently. The implementation method included training, development of a guide module, integration of use in lecture assignments, as well as mentoring and evaluation. The results of the activity showed significant improvements, where 100% of participants were able to use Mendeley for citations and automatic bibliography compilation independently. In addition, there was an increase in the timeliness of assignment submissions and the quality of students' scientific writing. This comprehensive and sustainable approach has proven effective in forming more systematic and technology-based academic habits. This activity has the potential to be implemented more widely to support improving the quality of scientific writing in higher education.

Abstract

Arithmetic skills are essential foundational competencies for elementary school students, supporting their numeracy abilities and understanding of mathematical concepts. However, the results of the observations indicate that the majority of students at SDI Darul Falah have not yet fully mastered the ability to perform basic arithmetic operations quickly and accurately and lack confidence in their mathematics studies. Based on these conditions, the community service activities carried out can help improve students’ performance through the use of the Jarimatika method as an alternative strategy for mental arithmeticThe methods used included a preparatory phase involving coordination with the school and preparation for the community service project, an implementation phase consisting of Jarimatika training, and an evaluation phase based on student feedback during the Jarimatika training sessions. Evaluation was conducted using pre- and post-surveys with a 1–4 Likert scale to measure changes in student responses. The results of the activity showed an increase in positive responses across all indicators, including enjoyment of learning (22%), ability to use fingers (11%), calculation speed (24%), lack of fear of calculating (13%), desire to learn mathematics (11%), student self-confidence (18%), students’ familiarity with finger counting (63%), and students who enjoy and are able to calculate using finger counting (73%). Thus, jarimatika training is effective in improving student responses from both cognitive and affective aspects. These results indicate that jarimatika should be developed as an innovative and enjoyable alternative strategy for mathematics learning in elementary schools
