Abstract

Online Gaming is a world phenomenon, include in Indonesia. Online Game Addiction is a worrying condition. The main factor about why the online game is having a large fanbase until addiction case happens, especially in Indonesia, is not studied formally. This research found out the factors in Indonesia is exrensive and intertwined, but the main factor is gamer in Indonesia that are not mature enough.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether using blind test method able to tell that the average person can differentiate the photos that were taken with DSLR camera, mirrorless camera, and smartphone camera. Aside from using blind test method, this research also used qualitative research method where we collected the data through online distribution by utilizing google form and social media application called line in distributing questionnaires to the social media line group chat of UIB majoring in Information System class of 2015 which were estimated about 140 people. In filling out the questionnaire there were 30 students who fill out the online questionnaire that had been distributed. The result of this research is that the respondents still cannot distinguish the difference of photos taken by DSLR camera, mirrorless camera, and smartphone camera. Majority of people are still unable to point out distinctively to understand the results of those three. This could be the result of the technological advancement of photography tools already advanced so far, so that common tool can produce results that can’t be discerned from professional tool.

Abstract

Smart Guard Home is a design for security, safety, comfort and prevention for humans. Internet of Think-Based Smart Guard Home which the author designed uses an interconnected Microcontroller and Sensor which is then sent over the network to a PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) Web server which is responsible for sending data via the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) protocol and running scripts. Appropriate PHP. PHP scripts are used to process requests, access databases, and generate dynamic content which will be sent to the Database which is then sent back to the client. The author uses the hosting MySql Database which is then accessed using CPanel and managed using PHP Scrip and sent via the internet to the Android application. Mobile and web applications are Android UI/UX-based applications for real-time monitoring and notifications that can be accessed anywhere and anytime via the internet network.

Abstract

Unpredictable weather changes in rice field areas have a direct impact on community activities, particularly in the agricultural sector. Weather data from the BMKG (Indonesian Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency) is general in nature and not specific to small areas, and there are limitations in real-time monitoring and historical data, which pose their own challenges. This study designed a weather monitoring device based on DHT11 sensors, rain sensors, BMP180, UV, and LDR, which can record data in real-time to an SD card and send information via Telegram bot. This tool successfully identifies weather conditions such as cloudy, mostly cloudy, sunny, and rainy, as well as supporting parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, UV index, and CO₂. The first measurement results showed a 79% dominance of cloudy weather, while the second measurement showed 65% cloudy weather. These findings prove the effectiveness of the device in providing accurate and sustainable local weather data to support decision-making in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini sudah mempermudah kehidupan manusia untuk melakukan hal-hal yang di lakukan secara berulang secara otoamatis lagi tanpa perlu pernantara manusia, salah satunya adalah untuk bisa mengunci akses suatu tempat dengan menggunakan RFID sebagai kuncinya. Namun RFID memiliki kelemahan bahwa setiap orang dapat menggunakan ID RFID yang berbeda-beda untuk mencoba membobol akses tersebut, maka dari itu di perlukan sebuah cara untuk bisa mengetahui kapan terjadi percobaan untuk akses pada sensor RFID tersebut. Dengan memanfaatkan modul ESP8266 dan Bot Telegram, user dapat mendapatkan notifikasi langsung jika terjadi akses pada sensor RFID milik user tersebut.

Abstract

In the digital age, networks are an important factor for implementing communication and exchanging information. Campus networks, which are private networks specifically designed for a particular institution, are essential for the institution because they provide access to the necessary information and services. However, campus networks are also vulnerable to security threats such as cybercrime and malware attacks. Firewall implementation can minimize these threats by controlling access to network services. Pundi Mas Berjaya (PMB), a company that provides software solutions to the global market, requires a highly available and redundant campus network. This research uses Cisco Packet Tracer to design and configure the network required by PMB. Implementing a highly available and redundant campus network with a hierarchical network model will improve the performance of the PMB campus network connectivity and security.

Abstract

MyPortal merupakan suatu website yang bertujuan sebagai sarana bagi mahasiswa/i Universitas Internasional Batam dalam mencari informasi seputar perkuliahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah penulis mencoba merancang MyPortal sebagai aplikasi desktop yang dapat diakses baik secara online atau offline. Untuk merancang suatu aplikasi dibutuhkan sistem basis data yang mendukung, sehingga aplikasi dapat berjalan dengan optimal. Oleh karena itu penulis menggunakan MySQL sebagai database, serta beberapa panduan lain dalam mengerjakan proyek ini. Seperti ERD dan class diagram untuk memberikan penulis panduan dalam merelasikan obyek dan entitas. Sistem basis data membantu aplikasi dalam mengelola data-data yang saling berhubungan, sehingga dapat diakses dengan mudah oleh penggunanya, dan dapat digunakan banyak pengguna selagi masih dalam basis data yang sama. Selain memudahkan, penggunaan sistem basis data juga untuk menjaga keamanan dari data yang ada di dalamnya. Metodologi yang akan digunakan adalah Database System Development Life Cycle (DSDLC). Dengan metode ini, akan membantu mengembangkan sistem basis data selain itu menganalisis, dan merancang sistem basis data. Metode ini cocok untuk penelitian pada artikel ini.

Abstract

Chat Application is an application that allow people to communicate with each other without face-to-face meetings or time issue. To design a well-functioning chat application, this study was conducted using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method for designing chat application. Apart from that, this study will be using the Python programming language, the PyMySQL module used to connect python to the database, and the Tkinter module is used as a tool in this study to create a Graphical User Interface (GUI) for chat application, and not to mention this study will be using Symmetry Encryption Cryptography to perform encryption and decryption of user chat data.

Abstract

Semua orang pasti menginginkan rumah yang ditinggalinya itu aman dari pembobolan, pencurian, kelupaan kunci pintu, kebakaran dan lain sebagainya. Teknologi rumah pintar mencakup berbagai perangkat rumah tangga sehari-hari yang dapat terhubung satu sama lain dan ke web dengan menggunakan internet. Konektivitas ini memungkinkan pemilik untuk memprogram/melakukan kegiatan sehari-hari yang sederhana dan, dalam beberapa kasus, untuk mengontrol pengoperasian perangkat dari jarak jauh dengan menghubungkan perangkatnya dengan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT). Rumah pintar dirancang untuk kenyamanan, keamanan orang yang mana dapat menjanjikan kehidupan mandiri yang lebih baik dimasa yang akan datang bagi semua orang.

Abstract

Most trainer module equipped a system error simulator (Fault Simulator), to activate the fault simulator the instructor must press a button that will bring up a certain type of fault that the trainer wants to simulate, then students will analyze the source of the error and fix it. The weakness of this trainer is that teachers must press a button on the trainer when they want to change the fault simulator in front of students so that participants will know which type of fault simulator is being run without troubleshooting. If this happens, the teaching objectives are not achieved so that the teaching process using this trainer becomes less effective. To overcome this problem, a remote-control prototype for trainers was designed consisting of an infrared (IR) based transmitter and receiver. To facilitate integration of the fault simulator module, the IR Transmitter and IR Receiver will communicate serially. From the tests carried out, it can be concluded that the designed remote-control prototype for trainers is functioning properly. IR transmitter and IR receiver can communicate serially using infrared media. This remote-control prototype has an optimal distance in the range of 0-5 m.
