Abstract

Non-communicable diseases of diabetes eruption are a group of metabolic disorders with characteristics of insulin secretion which results in abnormal fat protein carbohydrates caused by several non-modifiable factors, namely; the age of genetic sex and which can be changed (and modificable./ covers the environment, in terms of consumption of lifestyle chemicals that are less active sports / physical activity obesity/obesity. lack of sleep rest, smoking consumption of foods high in cholesterol, prolonged stress prolonged hypertension blood knowledge that is less pregnancy. Data analysis of correlation rank spearmen technique and simple linear regression. Result : The results showed body mass index, abdominal circumference. High blood pressure and systolic and diastolic blood levels) Diligent exercise / physical activity (r = 0.847 - 0.809; P = 0.000), while strong positive correlation with significant strength is; carbohydrate consumption, fat protein (r = 0.770; P = 0.000), vegetable fruit fiber consumption and sleep rest correlation were quite strong with significantly weak (r = 0.289 - 0.598: P = 0.000 - & 0.009). Abstract

Schools as one of the centers of education for the children of the nation, up to now have not been able to carry out recommendations to be able to behave clean and healthy. If PHBS is not done well, it will cause undesirable effects, namely the emergence of various diseases and poor health status. This was found in 1 Pancur Batu Public High School in Deli Serdang District. Goals : The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship of characteristics with PHBS in-state high schools 1 Pancur Batu. Methods: This type of research is cross-sectional conducted at 1 Pancur Batu Public High School. The sample in the study amounted to 88 people with a simple random sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: The results showed that there was a sex relationship (p = 0.007, class level (p = 0.001) with PHBS. Conclusion: It was suggested that the 1 Pancur Batu Public High School be advised to collaborate with Pancur Batu Health Center to create a schedule for providing health education so that knowledge of school children more updates about PHBS.

Abstract

Hospitals as one of the health care facilities are required to make medical records. Medical records are written evidence of services provided by doctors that contain patient identity, examination, treatment, other actions and services that have been given to patients. Midwives as medical personnel who also provide health services have an obligation to make documentation of their midwifery care actions. Aim: This study aimed to analyze the relationship of midwifery DIII student knowledge about medical records with the completeness of filling in midwifery care documentation. Methode: This research was an analytic observational study with cross sectional design. The study population was all third level midwifery DIII students who served at Santa Elisabeth Hospital in Medan and were directly involved in filling in medical records. Data was obtained by observed the completeness of filling nursing care documentation in the medical record for the period August 1st-31st, 2018 and used a questionnaire to assess the level of knowledge of midwifery students about medical records (procedures for filling and legal aspects). Statistical test using Chi Square test. Result: In this study found significant results between variables of knowledge about the legal aspects of medical records (p = 0.011), procedures for filling nursing care documentation (p = 0.001). Variables of knowledge about medical records get significant results, namely (p = 0.004). Conclusion: There were a meaningful relationship between the knowledge of Midwifery DIII students about medical records with the completeness of filling in midwifery care documentation. Abstract

Emergency is a condition in which someone needs immediate treatment or help because if he does not get first aid quickly it will threaten his soul or cause permanent disability. Patients of emergency are brought to Emergency Installation. Emergency Installation is the spearhead of the hospital where all incoming patients will be handled on this unit. The scope of emergency services is to conduct a primary survey, such as airway, breathing, circulation, disability and secondary survey. Goals:The purpose of this study is to find out the handling of Emergency patients at the Emergency Installation of Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan in 2017 Methods:The research design used was descriptive. The population used was emergency patients, with sampling technique of pulposive sampling of 297 people. The criteria used were inclusion with the criteria of an acute myocardial infarction patient, head trauma, airway obstruction, pneumothorax, burns and shock Results:Technique used by researcher was documentation study with the results of the study showed male gender of 176 people (59.3%), age> 65 years were 98 people (33%) Handling of the case of the highest emergency patients was acute myocardial infarction 98 people (33%). Conclusion: The conclusion shows that male patients tend to suffer from heart disease. Age> 65 years is age that susceptible to disease because of the lack body system work such as heart

Abstract

Self Regulation merupakan cara dosen menampilkan serangkaian tindakan yang ditujukan untuk pencapaian target dengan melakukan perencanaan terarah dalam mencapai tujuan yang telah ditetapkan. Dosen yang regulasi dirinya baik adalah dosen yang secara metakognitif, motivasional dan behavioral aktif dalam pekerjaan atau kinernyanya. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan self regulation dengan kinerja dosen di STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan. Metode : Desain dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan survey analitik dengan metode cross sectional dengan total sampling yaitu seluruh dosen yang aktif bekerja di STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan sebanyak 30 responden.Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner self regulation dikembangkan oleh Miller & Brown (1991) dan kinerja dosen adalah kuesioner ABFI Institute Perbanas (2010). Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosen memiliki self regulation baik sebanyak 15 orang (50.0%) dan sebagian besar dosen memiliki kinerja baik sebanyak 20 orang (66.7%). Hasil Fisher’s Exact Test didapatkan p=0.001 (p<0.05), sehingga ada hubungan self regulation dengan kinerja dosen di STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan. Kesimpulan : Dosen diharapkan lebih mengembangkan self regulation untuk meningkatkan kinerja yang bermutu di STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan.

Abstract

Interactions between health care providers and recipients or patients are closely related and can be sustainable. Medical records are very useful to assess the health status of a patient in a hospital, a clear and complete medical record will improve the quality of services and achieve optimal public health. Information about identity, diagnosis, disease history, examination history and medical history of the patient must be kept confidential by doctors, dentists, certain health personnel, management officers and leaders of health care facilities. Goals: The purpose of this study was to determine students' knowledge about the confidentiality of medical records at Santa Elisabeth Hospital, Medan. Method: This study was a descriptive observational study. The study population was students who were served at Santa Elisabeth Medan Hospital. The study sample consisted of 30 students who would in service first time in Santa Elisabeth Hospital in Medan. In this study a questionnaire was used to determine students' knowledge about the confidentiality of medical records. Data is presented descriptively to see frequency distribution. Data obtained through questionnaires filled in by samples. Results: The results showed that 66.67% of students had enough knowledge about the confidentiality of medical records. Medical record data can only be accessed by patients or families of patients responsible for patients. Conclusion: Some students have enough knowledge about the confidentiality of medical records. Students should be reminded of the confidentiality of medical records before they are served in the hospital.

Abstract

The transitional care protocol is a guide developed as a guide in applying transitional care for patients with congestive heart failure from hospital to home to prevent early readmissions. Goals:This study aims to develop transitional care protocols in Cardiovascular Inpatient Ward at Hospital in Medan. Methods: Action research through two cycles consisting of reconnaissance, planning, action, observation, and reflection used to collect data. Participants consisted of 17 nurses in the cardiovascular ward. Data were analyzed through content analysis and descriptive statistic test. Results: The result of this research was transitional care protocol consist of screening patients at risk of readmissions, patient and family involvement, promoting self management, identification of symptoms and how to overcome them, and nurse collaboration with other health worker in the hospital. Observation results showed that 70.58% of participants were able to do transitional care. increased of nurses' knowledge of transitional care and patient's ready to continuity of care at home. Conclusion: The hospital should monitor and evaluate the implementation of the transitional care protocol and become one of the indicators of the assessment of nurse's performance

Abstract

Obesity is one of the trigger factors for the incidence of non-communicable diseases as well as increasing morbidity in mothers and infants. Obesity experienced by mothers before pregnancy can affect the increase in baby's weight. Goals : Analyze differences in the increase in infant weight of obese and normal breastfeeding mothers. Method : Observational study with cross sectional design for 40 breastfeeding mothers and their babies in the work area of Andalas Community Health Center, Ikur Koto Health Center and Lubuk Buaya Health Center in Padang City with consecutive sampling techniques from August to November 2017. Increased body weight was obtained from a 1-month baby weight reduction with baby's birth weight. Data analysis using independent t test to see the difference between the two groups of variables. Result : There was a difference in the increase in infant weight from obese mothers with normal breastfeeding mothers (p = 0.023).Conclusion : Lower weight gain in infants of obese mothers. It is recommended for breasfreeding mothers, especially obese mothers, to continue to give exclusive breastfeeding and not to give formula milk or other foods even though the baby's weight gain was slow.

Abstract

Nutirional methods of the elderly is most important. Changes in body function effect to concumption and absortion of nutrients. The elderly with nutritional problems, it is necessary to cure and prevent complications from the disease. The most problems often are is malnutrion and obesity, it caused due to changes in diet and activities after retirement. Goals : This study aims to determine the description of the nutritional status of the elderly in the Nurse Study Program area of STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan Method : The present study is descriptif to asses the nutritional status of the elderly Gerontik Ners Nursing Area STIKes Santa Elisabeth Medan using Body Mass Index (BMI) by measuring body weight and height in 30 elderly people. Results: The results showed that the majority of elderly people in the Elderly category (60- 74) 56.4%, the elderly who had gout acid comorbidities were 63.3% and over nutrition status 53.4%. Conculsion : From the results of the study it was found that the majority of the elderly experienced over nutrition 53.4%, based on the study suggested that the Gerontik Nursing group could provide optimum for the elderly. optimum nutrition for the elderly.

Abstract

Immunization is a way to increase a person's immunity to a disease, so that if it is exposed to the disease later it does not become sick. Goals of this study was to determine the description of maternal knowledge about the types of basic immunization, the benefits of basic immunization and the schedule of immunization. Method This research method was a descriptive study. The population was mothers who has babies aged 0-9 months.Sample was 38 people. Sampling used total sampling technique. The Results of this study indicated that of the 38 respondents most knowledgeable about the types of basic immunization with a number of 19 respondents (50%), knowledgeable about the benefits of basic immunization with a total of 21 respondents (55.26%) and knowledgeable about basic immunization schedules with a total of 18 respondents (47.37%). Conclusions for mothers who had toddlers should bring their babies to obtain basic immunizations according to their baby's age regularly and to health workers so that the implementation of programs such as health education on basic immunization is often done so that mothers become familiar, who did not know to know
