Abstract

Rebon shrimp is the catch of fishermen around Sukolilo Baru area, Bulak District of Surabaya. Rebon shrimp processing is only sorted and then dried and sold to collectors. However, the drying process has no definite parameters of factors that can affect the quality of dried rebon shrimp. In overcoming this, research was conducted on improving the quality of dried rebon shrimp. The increase certainly raised several quality responses, namely the color and moisture content of rebon shrimp. The resulting multiresponse needed to be converted into a single response. To optimize multiresponse into a single response, the Taguchi method was used in combination with the Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) methods. Factors and levels were the volume of rebon shrimp (A) with levels of 4 Kg, 4.5 Kg, and 5 Kg, drying time (B) with levels of 90 minutes, 120 minutes, and 150 minutes, and drying temperatures (C) with levels of 41- 44ºC, 45-49 ºC, and 36-40 ºC. The quality characteristics were nominal that was the best (if the resulting value is close to the target value, the quality is better). The result produced PCA weighting values on PC1 as evidenced by eigen>1 values. The optimal combination is the volume factor of rebon shrimp at the level of 4.5 Kg, the drying time factor of 120 minutes, and the drying temperature factor of 45 – 49 ºC.

Abstract

The wheat flour processing industry is a food industry in the form of production of wheat flour needs which has the main raw material in the form of wheat. The increasing demand and increasing competition in the wheat flour industry require the company to maintain its effectiveness level, one of which is machine effectiveness. One example of a machine at a wheat flour processing industry is the BG-04 packer machine. This study aims to analyze the causes of the non-achievement of the effectiveness of the BG-04 Packer machine which is indicated by the Overall Equipment Effectiveness value standard of 85% and the calculation of its constituent elements, namely Availability, Performance, and Quality. The results showed that the Overall Equipment Effectiveness value of the BG-04 Packer Machine was 60%, meaning that it is still far from effective. From the results of the analysis of six big losses and pareto diagrams show the cause of the low ineffectiveness iddling and minor stopages losses caused by machine stops in a short duration but often occurs. Therefore, it is necessary to make improvements through the results of the 5W+1H analysis, namely conducting training on understanding the machine and how to fix it, making the ergonomic chair of the packer operator, making a rubber backer replacement schedule outside production hours, making and applying SOP, processing distribution scheduling with the most optimal method of cleaning the machine before use.

Abstract

Family Farma Pharmacy is a pharmacy that provides pharmaceutical services in Bekasi Regency. There are 50 types of medicines provided in this pharmacy, but there is no medicine grouping yet. Medicine inventory control is still done manually or by monitoring medicine stocks one by one. So there is no precise and effective calculation to determine total reorders. Therefore, the aim of this research is to grouping medicines, control medicine supplies and reorder it. The methods used are Always Better Control (ABC), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), and Reorder Point (ROP). The findings obtained were by grouping 50 types of medicines to obtain 10 types of medicines belonging to group A, 10 types of medicines in Group B, and 30 types of medicines in Group C based on the results of the ABC method. Then the EOQ results showed that the optimal order for Cataflam 50 Mg was made for 158 strips. By reordering the Cataflam 50 Mg medicine when the medicine stock reaches 15 strips in each product inventory which still has 23 strips remaining based on the ROP results.

Abstract

PT Raja Roti Cemerlang is a food industry that produces bread flour. PT Raja Roti Cemerlang plans to add a new warehouse to expand its reach to existing customers by minimizing distribution distance and shipping costs. This research provides an analysis using mathematical modeling for the problem of selecting the location of new facilities for the company. This model is used with the aim of providing recommendations for the location of candidate warehouse facilities that will be used as a new warehouse that is centralized to its consumers. This research uses a gravity location model that is implemented simply with Microsoft Excel software. This method is used based on its suitability with the identification of problems that the company has. In this research, the data needed to determine the best facility location in accordance with the gravity location method procedure is collected. The data collected is consumer-related data from the company PT Raja Roti Cemerlang such as location (latitude, longitude), number of requests, and distance data. The results of managerial analysis related to the old location and new location for facilities that will be used by the company show a new location with coordinates -6.178209493, 106.8433249 which is located in the Senen area, Central Jakarta City, Special Capital Region of Jakarta which has been projected by having a total difference in distance between the initial distribution location and the location of the external warehouse alternative 3 which is 198.37 km and the difference in shipping costs of Rp. 466,170.

Abstract

Transformation of production and service processes is a form of change in the industrial revolution era that is supported by systems. One of the components in a company's information system is a web page or known as a website. User Interface in website design is a concern at the CV X company which operates in the interior contracting sector. This research aims to redesign the user interface to suit user needs on the CV X website using the design thinking method. The design thinking method has six stages, namely, empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test, and implement. This research carried out four of the six stages of design thinking. Several research results include a collection of companies' desires to change the layout, content and elements on the website, content regarding SVLK, the use of persuasive words, and navigation features in the website footer that are not yet available in the current design. Defining the problem at the define stage is the elimination of be spoke pages, the use of colors that match the characteristics of the company, the addition of interactive animations, and changes to all elements on the website. The results of collecting ideas at the ideate stage were 9 ideas. The realization of ideas at the prototype stage consists of 3 processes, namely the style guideline creation process, the redesign process, and a comparison of the current design with the redesign results. The process of creating a style guideline includes fonts, colors, button elements, website headers and footers. This research focuses on the website user interface only so that the test and implementation stages related to User Experience (UX) are not analyzed.
