Abstract

ABSTRACT: Kerwa Nature Park (TWA) Kerandangan is one of the tropical forest area on the island of Lombok and has been designated as a conservation area since June 1, 1992. As a conservation area TWA Kerandangan has a high diversity of insect species. The diversity of these insects can be used as bioindicator of environmental stability in TWA Kerandangan. This study aims to identify soil insects, as well as to know the diversity of insects in the TWA Kerandangan area. This research was conducted at TWA Kerandangan and insect identification was done at Biology Laboratory of FPMIPA IKIP Mataram in June 2016. This research was conducted by using Pitfall trap technique in two different location that is on flat land and bumpy land and at two time different in the morning and evening. Result of research on TWA Kerandangan obtained 5 species of insects namely Empoasca fabae, Camponotus modoc, Myrmecocystus mexicanus, Asemoplus montanus and Gryllus spyang total of 124 individuals. The values of the diversity index (H ') for the Empoasca fabaeyaitu species were 0.038, Camponotus modoc0,161, Myrmecocystus mexicanus0,213, Asemoplus montanus0,066 and Gryllus sp 0.175. The highest diversity index value is found in Myrmecocystus mexicanus species and the lowest diversity index value is found in Empoasca fabae species.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The collection of Unmuh Pontianak Integrated Laboratory specimens represents the diversity of vertebrate animals from West Kalimantan. As a learning resource, the specimen can be used as an object of observation that provides a direct learning experience and as a source of written information that can be packaged in encyclopedia book form. The purpose of this study is to produce a valid encyclopedia of vertebrate animals based on a valid specimen and receive a positive response from learners. Output target of this research is product and publication. Research method used is Research and Development (R & D). The development model used is 4-D modification (four D model) with 3 stages namely: (1) Define (Define). (2) Design (Design), and (3) Development (Develop). While at stage (4) Disseminate will not be done due to limited time and cost. The results showed that the developed encyclopedia was considered valid in both good and excellent category. The results of validator assessment include aspects of material presentation of 98% (very good), aspect image 100% (very good), 96% language aspect (very good), and aspect 84% (good) graphic component. Student response to encyclopedia developed on encyclopedia presentation aspect, ease of use of encyclopedia, and activity of learners learn of encyclopedia each get 82% response (very strong). While on the aspect of ease of learners understand the encyclopedia 80% (strong) and interest in encyclopedia 75% (strong). Overall it can be concluded that the developed encyclopedia is valid and get positive response from learners.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The aims of this research is to analyze the structure of amphibian communities in natural park Kerandangan, and to describe the validity of animal ecology module that developed. The population of this research is all amphibians in natural park Kerandangan. The sample used in this research is the number of individuals amphibians (ordo anura) captured at the time of investigation. The method used is visual encounter survey (VES), and combined with capture sign release and recapture (CSRR). Data collection techniques used in this research were (1) basic data, (2) validation. Total 1 species of amphibians have been identified, that is families Bufonidae as many as 15 individuals. This research different from Kadir (2011) with ± 5 year periode in natural park Kerandangan have been declaine in community structure. The result of this research obtained from the calculation of data analysis as follows: (1) the diversity index (H = 0,186), (2) Simpson dominance index (C) = 0,0044, (3) the relative abundance is 6,7%, (4) density on 1 individual/100 m, (5), evenness index = 0,0686, (6) validation sheet with the calculation result of test readability by 20 four semesters graduate student, obtained average value = 3,66 with 73,1% level of achievement, the average from the material expert = 4,3 with 86% level of achievement, the average result from the appereance expert = 4,1, with 82% level of achievement, as well as the average value from the linguistics expert = 4, with 80% level of achievement, from the calculation based on expert judgment, can be declared that the module of animal ecology suitable for use a module.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: National Park is an area of natural resource conservation and ecosystem which is utilized for research, science, education, culture, tourism, and recreation. National Park of Mount Rinjani is located on Lombok island that estimated very high flora diversity. Medicinal plants or herbal are a source of bioactive compounds that efficacious cure various diseases. The purposed of this study was to examine and identify the types of medicinal plants that  found in Mount Rinjani National Park area for developing practical handout of Phanerogamae Systematic.  This research were descriptive exploratory with qualitative and quantitative approach. Data collection techniques consisted of interviews, observation, validation, test readability by the students, and documentation. The data were analyzed descriptively and techniques percentage. The outcome of this research were form of Practical Handout of Phanerogamae  Systematic that developed using 4-D model of modified until step 3, validated by two validators of teaching materials and contents. Practical instructions legibility test by 20 students of Biology Education Program Studies in 6th semester of IKIP Mataram, which has been doing practical to determine the feasibility of practical instructions. The results showed that there are diversity of medicinal plants in Mount Rinjani National Park area with discovery of  34 species of medicinal plants used by people to cure disease. Based on the results of validation by expert instructional materials at rate of 71.4% and content on the level of achievement of 86.3% of eligible used without revision. While the test readability by 20 students of Biology Education in 6th semester showed an average score of 6.68% achievement otherwise unreadable.

Abstract

Abstract: A research has been conducted to improve the mastery of students of biology teacher candidates through the application of inquiry learning model. This type of research is a classroom action research. This research applied to FPMIPA biology education student of IKIP Mataram, on the subject matter of plant structure and development. The results showed that 91% of students declared complete study on cycles II and 65% of students declared complete in sikus I. Thus the increase in mastery of the concept is in the high category. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that biology learning on the subject matter of structure and development of plants with inquiry model can improve the mastery of the concept of biology teacher candidates.
