International Journal of Business, Economics and Social Development (IJBESD) is published 4 (four) times a year and is the flagship journal of the Research Collaboration Community (RCC). <![CDATA[The aim of this research was written by researchers to determine and analyze the implementation of Green Accounting at PT Cirebon Electric Power on the company's environmental performance and costs. This research was conducted because researchers wanted to analyze Green Accounting or environmental accounting at PT Cirebon Electric Power , whether the implementation of Green accounting was going well or not. Pollution that occurs due to the production process and waste produced by companies has caused the Indonesian government to plan to implement the Cirebon Steam Power Plant (PLTU) operational shutdown program sooner than initially planned. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with data collection techniques using interviews. The resource persons in this research were company employees from the environment division. The research results show that the implementation of Green Accounting at PT Cirebon Electric Power regarding environmental performance and costs has been implemented well. In implementing Green Accounting at PT Cirebon Electric Power, the performance rating obtained by the company is a green rating, which means that a company's environmental management performance assessment has achieved good environmental management performance. PT Cirebon Electric Power in implementing Green Accounting has 3 environmental costs , namely: prevention costs, planning costs and unexpected costs. These environmental costs do not have a direct impact on company profits, each year environmental costs are budgeted by each share holder for operational implementation and prevention of environmental impacts.]]>

<![CDATA[This study aims to test and analyze financial ratios to predict a company's financial distress, which is moderated by company size with a research population from the property and real estate sub-sector listing on the IDX. The method used was purposive sampling involving 14 companies that became data processing samples with a research range of 2020-2022. In this study, 42 data were obtained, but outliers were made, so the number of samples was 37. The SEM-PLS-based Structural Equation Model with SmartPLS 4.1.0.1 was used to analyze the data. The results of data processing state that CR, ROA, and DAR significantly affect financial distress. At the same time, company size moderates ROA and DAR regarding financial distress. However, company size does not moderate CR in terms of financial distress. Therefore, financial ratios are a benchmark to predict financial stress. Businesses can use the findings of this study to predict financial crises. The earlier the signs of financial distress can be identified; the company management will have the opportunity to find solutions to the problems faced immediately.]]>

<![CDATA[Corporate leadership is crucial for achieving organizational performance and gaining competitive advantage. It involves operational attributes like structure and culture, and guides individuals and organizations towards achieving their vision. This study sought to examine the influence of corporate leadership on the performance of water service companies in the Western Region, Kenya as moderated by organizational factors. The study was based on transformational leadership theory and institutional theory. The research followed a positivist research philosophy and used a descriptive and correlational research design targeting 245 respondents. For data collection close ended questionnaires were used. Data was analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The study found that corporate leadership had a positive and significant influence on performance of water service companies in Western Region, Kenya whereas organizational factors had a positive though insignificant moderating influence on the relationship between corporate leadership and organizational performance of Water service companies in Western Region, Kenya. The findings extend our knowledge on corporate leadership practices that can enhance performance. The study recommends to government to formulate and execute suitable operational guidelines and policies that would improve in the management of organizations.]]>

<![CDATA[The primary objective of this reserach was to examine the essential internal factors that affect stock prices by utilizing Return on Equity (ROE) and Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) as independent variables, while Price to Book Value (PBV) was considered as an intervening variable. The focus of the study was on companies listed in the LQ45 index on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. The data was analyzed using panel data regression through the REM, with support from Eviews 12 software. Path analysis was also employed to test hypotheses and gain deeper insights. The research findings indicate that only ROE significantly affects stock prices both directly and indirectly, while DPR doesnt have a significant influence on the fluctuations of stock prices. Additionally, PBV cannot mediate the effect of ROE and DPR on stock prices. This suggests that other factors can affect stock prices in the Indonesian capital market. It is crucial to consider a representative sample of companies and additional variables to gain deeper insight into the factors leading to share prices.]]>

<![CDATA[The pervasive nature of poverty across all nations, all ages, all genders, and all races puts continuous search for potential roles of various phenomena in reducing poverty globally at the forefront of academic research effort. This article turns the spotlight on the role of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in driving poverty reduction in Lesotho. It aims to highlight the possible pathways to explore towards the eradication of poverty in the country. We adopted a qualitative research approach to probe the roles of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in releasing individuals wallowing in abject poverty and those vulnerable to poverty. The study identified that by providing access to financing, markets, mentorship, training programmes, and a culture that celebrates risk-taking and problem-solving, the entrepreneurial ecosystem cultivates an atmosphere conducive to the flourishing of small and medium-sized enterprises, thus creating employment opportunities that lift communities out of the cycle of poverty. We discovered that newly created businesses become engines of job creation, providing stable incomes and a pathway to financial security for those previously trapped in poverty. Unfortunately, the study found that most of the components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem fail to discharge the valuable roles effectively in Lesotho due to a number of weaknesses. This study adds to the bundle of academic knowledge and contributes to the effective exploitation of the identified roles in reducing poverty in Lesotho.]]>

<![CDATA[Technological advances produce a different culture of readers, there is a new culture of comic readers who change the way readers read comics, as a result of technological advances it created a digital platform published online called LINE Webtoon, so that it can be identified the purpose in this article to know the presentation of comic content on LINE webtoon or website and cartoon by facilitating readers who no longer read without having to buy comics in physical form but already using the application. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method by looking at LINE webtoon to find out the presentation of comic content on LINE webtoon, which is supported using McCloud's Making Comic theory. The results of this study suggest that the experience of reading comics on LINE Webtoon has a variety of attractions, readers' factors in reading comics can also be influenced by social and cultural interactions around them, for example if a comic is trending or widely discussed on social media, readers tend to be interested in trying to read it as well as being influenced by comic content and comic authors themselves such as with emotionally evocative storylines and strong characters, tend to be more captivating and make readers come back to read the next episode, by paying attention to these aspects, it can be seen how works of fine art in the form of comics can create interesting comic content.]]>

<![CDATA[Family communication in building a support system in adolescents is a very important issue because through open and quality communication families can provide emotional, moral, and practical support that is important for adolescents. The purpose of the research is to be more enthusiastic in running a good and successful life, in terms of parental support and the mentality of adolescents in the digitalisation era and the ability of parents to listen actively. Researchers chose a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study approach and supported using the Family Communication Pattern Theory (FCPT) from Koerner and Fitzpatrick (2002). The results of this study suggest that enhancing family bonds is essential for honest communication and constructive action. Good communication also allows adolescents to feel heard, understood, and get appropriate direction from parents or other family members. Families can provide support such as, information support which functions as a source of receiving information directly, for example advice and suggestions, family assessment support can provide direction such as forms of gratitude and recognition, and instrumental support with family contributions in the form of facilities or infrastructure. Therefore, the family as a support system can help prevent adolescent mentality if there is no real family support, attention or affection, then changes in norms become a source of forming self-character such as temperament, unruly, more confident, and some even yell at parents.]]>

<![CDATA[The impact of firm-level corporate governance challenges on sustainable development requires attention, particularly in developing countries. This qualitative study explores factors contributing to South African firms' poor CG performance and the implications of firm-level CG challenges towards attaining SDGs in South Africa. It employs a rapid review methodology to search and review selected articles systematically. Content analysis is used to draw findings. Results reveal that historical, economic, lack of critical scholarship and weak regulatory enforcement and oversight factors affect South African corporate governance practices. Notably, a lack of reform in the corporate governance architecture underpins most of the challenges firms experience regarding corporate governance practices. These results can be linked to slow progress towards realising sustainable development goals (SDG) targets from achieving socioeconomic equality, board diversity, jobs, poverty alleviation and justice for all. This study contributes to scholarship on the intersectionality between CG, SDGs, and existing challenges that restrict the business sector from fully contributing to national development. In South Africa, the study also reviews progress towards strengthening the CG fabric in the post-apartheid era.]]>

<![CDATA[Many organizations have realized the significant role played by Economic Order Quantity in determining Supply Chain performance. This study sought to examine the effect of economic order quantity on supply chain performance in county governments in western region, Kenya. This study adopted descriptive survey research design targeting 120 respondents from the procurement, stores and quality assurance departments. Data was obtained using structured questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive statistics used were: mean, frequency percentage and standard deviation while for Inferential statistics Pearson correlations and simple linear regression was used. The regression results established that Economic Order Quantity had a positive and significant effect on the Supply chain performance of County Governments in Western Region, Kenya. (β= 0.762; p< 0.000). The findings extends knowledge on inventory management practices and specifically on economic order quantity that can enhance performance. The study recommends for County Governments to adopt as well as integrate Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) into its supply chain strategies.]]>
