Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a very bad impact and decreased income in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. An effort is needed that can increase the marketing of MSME products that are in accordance with consumer conditions. There are still many MSME actors who market their products in stores and in the market which are not in accordance with the conditions in the field. Continuous training and assistance are needed in introducing a marketing system that is in accordance with the conditions of the times. One of them is marketing using online media. Based on these circumstances, this study aims to determine efforts to increase the marketing of MSME commodities in Tasikmalaya Regency during the Covid-19 pandemic through training and mentoring programs. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data used were obtained from interviews with the help of a questionnaire given to MSME actors. Based on the results obtained, the use of online media in marketing MSME products was 19%. From the results of the analysis, it is found that the level of ability to use digital technology is 26%, which means that there are still many MSME actors who do not understand using digital technology, especially in creating online stores. Therefore, continuous training and assistance are needed in improving the understanding of MSME actors and keeping up with the times.

Abstract

This study compares the COVID-19 legal trends among 10 ASEAN countries during March 2020-September 2021. The study is an explanatory project with quantitative approach in comparing the number of legislation in South East Asia. The study aims to obtain a credible quantitative report from the region. The report would be beneficial to future qualitative reasoning when in-depth individual country's pandemic profile is taken into account. The comparison examines the Covid Law Lab database, a joint collaboration between the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law and Georgetown University. Globally, among 4,880 Titles adopted in 192 countries, 1493 (31%) Titles are under the topic of 'movement and distancing restriction', followed by 470 (9%) Titles on 'state of emergency'. In ASEAN, 'movement and distancing restriction' remains the most legislated topic. The Philippines is recorded as the most legislating country in the region (150 Titles), followed by Myanmar (139 Titles) and Indonesia (138 Titles), while the least legislating country is Brunei Darussalam (1 Title). This study finds that COVID-19 legal trends in ASEAN is divergent to some extent from the global picture. Nonetheless, 'movement and distancing restrictions' legal topic is prevalent in the region and has led the 10 countries to its current pandemic situation.

Abstract

An investor who wants to invest by avoiding risk makes investors tend to choose investments with the same expected return and the smallest or lowest possible risk. Therefore, investors expect to be able to maximize profits and minimize risk at the same time in investing. In a stock portfolio, it can be done by investing the funds owned by investors into several stocks so that it can reduce the risk of losses that will occur simultaneously. In choosing the right company to invest in with consideration of expected return and risk, a multi-objective optimization with multivariate objects can be used so that it can meet the expectations of investors. The portfolio concept introduced by Markowitz is a portfolio optimization intended for standard investors because it only refers to one explanation of portfolio returns. The Markowitz method can produce an optimal stock portfolio by considering the expected return and risk simultaneously so that the maximum profit can be obtained without eliminating the existing risk.

Abstract

This paper aim to create simple hydrodynamic simulation by using MIKE 21. The module used in MIKE 21 is LITPACK. LITPACK is one of the modules in MIKE 21 to solve hydraulic and sedimentation problems in coastal areas. Especially in this paper, the LITTLITE engine in LITPACK will be used. LITLINE determines the coastline position using a timeseries of wave climatic data. The model is based on a one-line theory, in which the cross-shore profile is expected to remain unaltered during erosion/accretion, with minor adjustments. Coastal morphology is thus only defined by coastline location (cross-shore direction) and coastal profile at a given long-shore position. The simulation used in this paper is the influence of groins on shoreline dynamics. The results of the simulation show that some areas will experience abrasion and some will experience accretion.

Abstract

Community Service is one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially at Garut University, it is hoped that with this community service the existence of universities can contribute to the development of scientific application to the community. Efforts to protect the surrounding environment must start from oneself by doing small things, educating students about environmental problems due to landfills is needed to raise students' awareness so that they are more concerned with the surrounding environment. Active participation of students can be done in a culture of disposing of waste in its place. However, because of the many categories of waste that exist, it is necessary to educate students about the types of waste, namely; organic, inorganic and B3 waste (hazardous and toxic materials) and their handling. This community service activity method uses the method of delivering socialization material with counseling techniques, questions and answers, quizzes, and by adding games. The results of the research carried out were able to make students leave the old way of just throwing garbage away, but also provide education and familiarize students to sort, select, and categorize waste as well as develop a waste bank so that it has economic value. If this is done, the practice of processing and utilizing waste becomes a real step in managing waste.

It is part of food chain in its habitat, as its preys include cockroaches, flies, and termites. Previous studies found that this gecko are not found in mountainous area in West Java. In this study, the researchers observe population density of common house geckos in various types of habitats (houses and parks) with their home territory. The methods used were direct survey methods followed by literature study. The study is conducted in Java island (Jakarta, Tangerang, Bandung, Bogor, Sleman). Preliminary result of this study is house geckos are very active at night, because of the effect of light produced by lights that attract the attention of insects, gecko food.
