Abstract

Reconstitution is the process of mixing the solvent medium into a dry powder mass to produce suspended or dissolved substances. Mixing injection drugs, including reconstitution of antibiotic injections, should be formulated by pharmacists, in fact all of them are still made by non-pharmaceutical health workers, apart from lack of correlation, it also gives the impression that the hospital is violating the rules. To prevent errors in compounding, pharmaceutical staff attend aseptic technique training to minimize contamination during compounding. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between characteristics and knowledge of pharmaceutical technicians in reconstitution of antibiotic injections at UNS Hospital inpatients. Descriptive research with correlation studies the relationship between two or more variables. Data collection is done.total.sampling. Retrieval of data used a questionnaire and processed with SPSS 21.0 For.Windows application. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics include gender, p value = 0.014, at = 0.05 (p<α), education p value = 0.961, at = 0.05 (p>α), length of work p value = 0.719, at =0.05 (p>α). The conclusion obtained is that there is no significant relationship between education and length of work. There is a significant relationship between gender in the knowledge of pharmaceutical technicians in reconstitution of antibiotic injections at UNS Hospital inpatients.

Abstract

Papersoap is a thin printed solid soap product as a unique innovation because it resembles paper. Soursop leaves contain flavonoid compounds, tannins, alkaloids and saponins that are useful as antibacterial. preparations papersoap with soursop leaf extract require glycerin as a plasticizer is believed to produce good physicochemical properties. This study aims to determine the physical quality of papersoap from the effect of soursop leaf extract and variations of glycerin and to test the antibacterial activity of the Papersoap against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923.Soursop leaf extract was obtained by maceration method with 96% ethanol as solvent. The concentration of soursop leaf extract 5% was formulated into papersoap with three variations of glycerin formula, namely 10%, 15%, and 20%.preparation papersoap includes organoleptic, pH, homogeneity, foam stability, water content, and free alkali tests which have passed the curing for two weeks as the preparation evaluation stage. Antibacterial activity test against Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923 using well diffusion method. The data obtained were processed using Shapiro-wilk, one way ANOVA/Kruskal.The results showed that the formula of the papersoap preparation of soursop leaf ethanol extract (Annona muricata L.) with glycerin variations can provide differences in the physical quality of papersoap preparations and have an inhibitory diameter against Staphylococcus aureus bacteria ATCC 25923 successively 25.26; 24,67; 23.47 mm

Abstract

Indonesia occupies the top ten countries with the highest population of people with Diabetes Mellitus in the world, which is ranked 5th with a range of 19.5 million people, and it is estimated that in 2045 it will increase to 28.6 million. Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that is often accompanied by complications. This can lead to drug interactions. Drug interactions can affect the body's response to treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the percentage of drug interactions on prescriptions received by patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at a health center in Surakarta. This research is a descriptive observational study. Data collection was carried out retrospectively through tracking records of drug use by patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 at Puskesmas X. The sample in this study was all prescriptions for patients with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 in April-December 2018. The results showed that the most prescribed antihyperglycemic drugs were 38, 89%, analgesics 16.20%, vitamins 14.2%, and antihypertensives 12.19%. The types of drugs that were most widely used in prescriptions were metformin at 18.98%, amlodipine at 11.57%, and paracetamol at 8.64%. The potential incidence of drug interactions is 62.5% of prescriptions. The conclusion of this study showed that the potential for pharmacokinetic drug interactions was 1.36%, the potential for pharmacodynamic drug interactions was 46.94%, and the incidence of unknown drug interactions was 51.70%.

Abstract

Abstract

The use of injection preparations in hospitalized patients has a high prevalence rate so that dispensing injections needs attention because there are many risks that can arise during the mixing process. The purpose of the study was to determine the suitability of the aseptic procedure for dispensing antibiotics in pediatric patients with standard operating procedures applicable at the dr. Sudirman Mangun Sumarso Wonogiri. This study used a retrospective method with descriptive analysis of the data for August – October 2021. Conformity was measured using a checklist form and the percentage of conformity was calculated. The results showed that from 106 antibiotic mixtures consisting of Cefotaxim inj (46%), Ceftriaxon inj (12%), Chloramphenicol inj (3%), and Gentamicin inj (39%) obtained 85.71% according to standard operating procedures. Compliance that has met the standard includes reviewing prescriptions, doing 5 correct, calculating dosage suitability, choosing solvents, calculating solvent volumes, making delivery forms and those that are not appropriate, namely checking the condition of the drug when it is received. Examination of the condition of the drug when it is received should be carried out accompanied by a form so that there is a record that can be used for tracing when a medication error occurs.

Abstract

Safe handling of parenteral preparations needs to be done in a disciplined and careful manner to prevent unwanted risks, Human resources are a very important part in the implementation of sterile preparations dispensing services, it is necessary to understand aseptic actions in the mixing process with applicable procedures to avoid the dangers of pyrogens and contaminants as well as prevent medication errors. This study aims to determine pharmaceutical technician knowledge about aseptic dispensing at RSUD Dr. Morwardi. This research is a non experimental research with a descriptive survey design. The sampling technique in this research is total sampling. The sample in this study amounted to 50 people. Respondent’s knowledge data was collected using a questionnaire with a total of 10 questions that had been tested for validity with Pearson’s correlation and reliability test with Cronbach’s Alpha which was then analized using SPSS 25. The results showed that knowledge about standard precautions was good, as many as 44 people (88%). Respondents with sufficient knowledge were 4 people (8%), and with poor knowledge were 2 people (4%). The conclusion of this study is that the level of knowledge of pharmaceutical technician about aseptic dispensing at RSUD Dr. Moewardi is good.
