Abstract

This study aims to explore the perceptions of Automotive Engineering Education students regarding the profession of automotive teachers and how these perceptions influence their interest in pursuing a career in this field. Vocational education, especially in automotive engineering, plays a crucial role in preparing the younger generation for the workforce. Students' interest in the automotive teacher profession is influenced by factors such as the challenges faced, career opportunities, and social recognition. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach. The research sample consists of 10 students from the 2023 cohort, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results show that the majority of respondents (64%) are not interested in becoming a teacher, with the main reasons being low salary, high workload, and lack of recognition for the profession. However, 36% of respondents expressed interest in becoming teachers, citing reasons such as job stability, positive impact on society, and family encouragement. Most respondents (80%) are willing to become teachers if given the opportunity, although many feel that this profession lacks appreciation. The findings indicate the need for efforts to improve recognition of the automotive teacher profession and to develop strategies to attract more students to pursue a career as automotive teachers, in order to support the advancement of automotive engineering education in the future

Abstract

Utilization of Drone Technology (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle/UAV) in the geospatial field has rapidly advanced in recent years, particularly in mapping and three-dimensional (3D) modeling. This study aims to explore and apply drone imagery technology in the creation of a 3D model (digital mock-up) of the environment at the University of Palangka Raya campus, serving as an accurate and informative spatial visual representation. Data collection was conducted through aerial image acquisition using a drone equipped with a high-resolution camera, with systematically planned flight parameters to ensure adequate coverage and overlap. The data processing was carried out using Structure from Motion (SfM)-based photogrammetry software, which included stages such as image orientation, point cloud reconstruction, mesh model creation, and texturing. The resulting 3D model was then evaluated both visually and geometrically to assess its spatial accuracy and completeness. The results show that 3D modeling using drone imagery is capable of representing the shapes and structures of buildings, vegetation, and other campus environmental features with a high level of detail. The spatial accuracy of the model also falls within acceptable tolerance limits for visualization and site planning purposes. The significance of this research lies in the time and cost efficiency of the mapping process compared to conventional methods such as manual field surveying. Additionally, the 3D model holds great potential to support academic activities, campus development planning, asset preservation, and as an engaging medium for visual promotion. Thus, the integration of drone and photogrammetry technology can serve as an innovative solution for the development of modern and applicable geospatial information systems in higher education environments

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in the Light Vehicle Engine Maintenance subject at SMK Cokroaminoto Pandak Bantul. The evaluation model used is the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study show that: (1) OSH has become an important part of the school's vision and mission and is aligned with industry standards; (2) teachers already have an understanding and guidelines for OSH, although facilities and infrastructure are still limited; (3) obstacles in OSH implementation include students' lack of understanding and discipline, as well as suboptimal supervision; and (4) the implementation of OSH has had a positive impact on increasing students' awareness, especially during fieldwork practice.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how extracurricular program management is implemented in enhancing students’ creativity in elementary schools. Creativity is an important aspect of the development of elementary school- aged children because it plays a role in fostering critical, innovative, and independent thinking skills. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation, in- depth interviews with principals, extracurricular teachers, and students, as well as documentation studies. The findings indicate that effective management of extracurricular programs involves thorough planning, organization of human resources and facilities, implementation of varied activities based on students’ interests, and regular evaluations that encourage continuous program improvement. Extracurricular activities such as arts, sports, and science provide opportunities for students to express their creative ideas and build self- confidence. Challenges encountered include limited facilities, restricted time, and insufficient training for instructors. However, with support from schools and parental involvement, extracurricular programs can serve as an effective platform for developing students’ creativity. The conclusion of this study is that structured extracurricular program management, oriented toward the development of students’ potential, can make a significant contribution to enhancing creativity at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a prototype tool for measuring water level (TMA) in the peatlands of Central Kalimantan by utilizing renewable energy from solar panels and batteries as the main environmentally friendly power source. The system is designed based on the ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a submersible transducer sensor based on the hydrostatic principle to improve measurement accuracy and stability compared to ultrasonic sensors, which tend to be affected by temperature and humidity conditions. This device is also equipped with a data logger and IoT connectivity for real-time data monitoring through the Firebase platform, enabling remote supervision without the need for direct presence in the field. The research process includes the design of wiring diagrams and PCBs, physical assembly of components, system programming, as well as testing voltage, current, and power parameters to evaluate the efficiency and performance of the device's energy system. The test results show that the prototype is capable of operating independently, with a TMA measurement accuracy of ±2.5 cm and a high correlation between electrical parameters and system performance (R² = 0.94). This tool is expected to be an effective, cost-efficient, and sustainable solution for monitoring water surface levels in remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Abstract

The large number of intersections in Tasikmalaya City, particularly the nearby Rancabango and Bantar intersections, causes vehicles to frequently stop at each intersection due to red lights. To reduce delays and queues, an analysis of coordination between signalized intersections was conducted. Data was collected through field surveys conducted from April 21, 2025, to May 6, 2025, covering geometric data, signal timing, traffic volume, and vehicle speed. The analysis was conducted using the 2023 Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines. The results showed that the two intersections were not yet coordinated. From the three plans, a new cycle time of 71 seconds was obtained with an offset of 60 seconds between the Rancabango Intersection and the Bantar Intersection and a bandwidth of 18 seconds for the direction of movement from the Rancabango Intersection to the Bantar Intersection and 31 seconds for the opposite direction. With the implementation of coordination between signalized intersections, intersection performance showed improvement, marked by a decrease in vehicle queue length from 69.22 meters to 62.39 meters and a decrease in average delay from 36.75 seconds/SMP to 35.63 seconds/SMP.
