Abstract

A common problem encountered in implementing inclusive classes is the difficulty of class management to meet the needs of children with special needs. This study aims to describe the implementation of inclusive school education management. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This study was conducted in July 2023. The research instrument was in the form of an interview sheet with resource persons, class teachers, inclusive teacher managers, and child psychologists. The results of this study are that inclusive school management can be implemented in various aspects. The first aspect is inclusive school equipment which includes assessments of inclusive students, teachers, and learning aids. The second aspect is classroom arrangement which includes seating arrangements, activities, and learning aids in the classroom. The third aspect is the teacher's duties which include the duties of the class teacher as a facilitator, the assistant teacher as a companion to the class teacher in carrying out learning activities in the classroom, and the inclusive teacher whose job is to accompany inclusive students directly. Abstract

Law enforcement in inclusive schools includes implementing regulations that support inclusive education. These regulations are intended to ensure that all students, including those with special needs, have access to quality education that meets their needs. An example of a related regulation is Minister of National Education Regulation Number 70 of 2009 which states that inclusive education is an education delivery system that provides opportunities for all students to take part in education or study in an education with students in general. The aim of this research is to analyze and describe the government's efforts to advance inclusive education, as well as analyze and describe the programs implemented in inclusive education. So, in this material you will get a comprehensive understanding and quantitative methods, especially looking for factual data and validating it by researchers. The motivation for this research is to cite articles and reviews. Inclusive education is very necessary for people with disabilities and special needs. This is why people with disabilities and special needs have the same rights to education as normal people. Children with disabilities have the right to receive support from the education system, health services, employment providers and wider social services. Persons with disabilities have the same rights and must have the same responsibilities. The government and education ministry need to focus more on inclusive education by providing more interventions and support. Apart from that, these recommendations also highlight the importance of continuous evaluation of the implementation of inclusive education to ensure that inclusive education goals can be achieved.

Abstract

There have been many calls for concern for students with special needs. However, many schools under the Catholic Foundation are still experiencing obstacles in providing adequate learning accommodations for them. This research seeks to make a design proposal for a Guide to Celebrating Diversity in regular schools which are in the process of becoming inclusive schools. The design was prepared based on a needs analysis result. The design was based on literature searches and good practices in various inclusive schools and the basics of Jesuit and Montessori education. The designs prepared are given input by expert practitioners and submitted to teachers at schools to get input. This design is very likely to be used by school stakeholders. The main principle that needs to be considered is the Foundation's policy regarding the preparation of human resources, acceptance of new students, curriculum accommodation, the prepared environment, and funding. In addition, an analysis of supporting research documents was also conducted. The technique for testing the validity of data uses data source triangulation. The data analysis technique in this research employs data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing in accordance with the theory of Miles and Huberman. The research findings concluded that Al Firdaus Elementary School employs an inclusive education service model that combines both regular (full inclusion) and pull-out approaches. Furthermore, the learning process for students with special needs at Al Firdaus Elementary School consists of two types: one where students require modifications in terms of materials, targets, worksheets, and assessment systems, and another where students who do not need modifications have the same materials, targets, worksheets, and assessment systems as their regular classmates. In its implementation, the school has applied principles that must be understood in organizing inclusive education services, namely friendly education, optimal development, collaboration with relevant parties, and system change.
