Abstract

Indonesia is known as a plural nation because it has a cultural background (cultural background) heterogeneous. Cultural heterogeneity is often followed by misinterpretation, leading to the emergence of various social conflicts of cultural paranoia. The presence of the conflict then spawned the attitude of mutual hatred between one society and the other. Multicultural communication becomes a smart solution to prevent and solve these conflicts. The concept of multiculturalism in multicultural communications glorifies  differences, while also looking at the nature of humanity as something universal and equal. Multiculturalism sees that the reality of diversity can not be denied. Differences are seen as opportunities to manifest the social and societal nature of humanity with dialogue and communication. Multiculturalism is a given from God, but Bhineka Tunggal Ika is a gift from our ancestors that must be preserved and preserved for the common good as a whole nation. Abstract

Natural beauty is a tourism asset besides Balinese customs and culture, Nungnung waterfall is a tourism ass et as well as being a cultural preservation owned by the Badung regency. Even though it has received serious attention from the Badung Regency Government, this area lacks proper and proper management so that it seems less than optimal. This area is classified as a historic and rare area. The reason is that there is a lack of maximum community involvement in guarding the tourist sites, so conservation needs to be held to educate the public about the sustainability and existence of these objects. Which in turn can generate income for the surrounding community. Keywords: Community Participation and Conservation of Nungnung Waterfall Tourism Objects

Abstract

Indonesia is  a  nation  inhabited  by  people with  diverse  religious,  ethnic,  and  social backgrounds. Plurality is  an indisputable  reality in this  archipelago.  On the  one  hand, this pluralism becomes the social capital of nation-building, and on the other hand the latent potential of social conflict. Humans are both indiviudu creatures as well as social beings. As social beings of course human beings are required to be able to interact with other individuals in order to meet their needs. In living a social life in society, an individual will be faced with groups of different colors with him one of which is the difference of religion. Live his social life can not be denied there will be friction-friction that will occur between groups of people, both related to race and religion. In order to maintain unity and unity in society it is necessary to respect each other and respect each other, so that friction-friction that can lead to disputes can be avoided. Ngaben ceremony is often simplified with the goal of the Ngaben ceremony is still reached. Observing the current development in society, the people preferably use uncomplicated technique that is crematorium as means of contestation. Society contestation through ceremony without preserving tradition, culture, art and customary ritual preservation, precisely provides a convenience for the existence of crematorium. Without we realize the desire and the purpose of society to show our life pattern through certain ceremonies tend to lead to consumptive society even hedonic, where with the existence of crematorium does not reduce the significance of the rituals, traditions, customs, cultures, and arts. Keywords: Contestation, Ngaben, Tourism.
