Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of local content values in Cultural Arts learning at SD Negeri Pucangsewu. The research is grounded in the growing concern regarding the declining awareness of local cultural identity among elementary students due to globalization. Cultural arts learning offers a strategic space to integrate local wisdom as part of character education and contextual learning. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, Cultural Arts teacher, and students. Data analysis followed the interactive model of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that local cultural elements such as Kethek Ogleng, Wayang Beber, Ronthek, and the traditional ritual Ceprotan are integrated through contextual lesson planning, practical artistic activities, project-based assignments, and reflective discussions on cultural values. The implementation enhances students’ participation, cultural literacy, collaborative skills, and sense of regional identity. The novelty of this study lies in demonstrating how structured integration of Pacitan’s local culture within formal Cultural Arts learning contributes to character education and supports the realization of culturally responsive pedagogy at the elementary level.

Abstract

Wayang art is one of the local cultural heritages that embodies noble values and has the potential to serve as a learning resource in Social Studies education. As a traditional performing art, wayang does not only function as entertainment but also conveys moral messages, social norms, and philosophical teachings that reflect the cultural identity of Indonesian society. However, amid the currents of globalization, appreciation for wayang art has tended to decline, particularly among generation Z. This study aims to analyze the factors contributing to the decreasing appreciation of generation Z toward wayang art in Mangunsari Village and to examine its relevance to Social Studies learning. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving generation Z, community leaders, and wayang art enthusiasts. The findings indicate that the decline in generation Z appreciation is influenced by several factors, including differences in entertainment preferences, the lack of encouragement or invitation from the surrounding environment to watch wayang performances, and the limited relevance of wayang stories to the lifestyles of today’s youth. These conditions lead many young people to prefer modern digital entertainment rather than traditional cultural performances. Nevertheless, wayang art remains relevant to Social Studies learning competencies because it contains social, cultural, moral, and religious values that can support character education and cultural awarness. Therefore, wayang art can be integrated into Social Studies learning as an effort to preserve local culture while strengthening students understanding of social and cultural values in society.

Abstract

Sistem pendidikan Indonesia masih didominasi oleh pendekatan konvensional yang berpusat pada guru, sehingga membatasi kemampuan siswa untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif. Kondisi ini bertentangan dengan tuntutan abad ke-21 yang menekankan pemikiran tingkat tinggi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan dan mengkaji efektivitas modul pembelajaran berbasis Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek Kewirausahaan (EPjBL) pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPAS) di SMKN 1 Kwanyar, khususnya pada materi Makhluk Hidup dan Lingkungannya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan sangat valid berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli dengan skor rata-rata 4,00 dan kelayakan sebesar 87,35%. Kepraktisan modul terlihat dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran sebesar 96,04% dan respon siswa sebesar 84,57%, yang menunjukkan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam seluruh proses pembelajaran. Efektivitas modul ditunjukkan melalui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa, dengan rata-rata nilai n-gain sebesar 0,58 (kategori sedang) dan perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test (p < 0,05). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar berbasis EPjBL efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa. Modul ini relevan diterapkan di SMK karena mendukung pembelajaran kontekstual yang terhubung dengan dunia kerja serta menumbuhkan jiwa kewirausahaan siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan pendekatan Scientific Learning berbasis Problem Based Learning terhadap minat belajar dan hasil belajar siswa pada materi topologi jaringan di SMK Negeri 1 Kwanyar Bangkalan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment dan desain nonequivalent control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 57 siswa kelas XI TKJ, yaitu 28 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 29 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar dan angket minat belajar. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Shapiro-Wilk, Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test, Mann-Whitney U Test, dan Independent Samples t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar secara signifikan, dengan median nilai dari 60,00 menjadi 80,00. Minat belajar siswa juga meningkat dari 3,04 menjadi 3,60 dengan nilai signifikansi p < 0,05. Pada kelas kontrol, hasil belajar dan minat belajar juga mengalami peningkatan signifikan, tetapi peningkatan minat belajar lebih rendah dibandingkan kelas eksperimen. Perbandingan antarkelas menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan minat belajar pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi secara signifikan dibandingkan kelas kontrol, dengan rata-rata peningkatan 0,55 ± 0,26 pada kelas eksperimen dan 0,11 ± 0,22 pada kelas kontrol. Namun, peningkatan hasil belajar antara kedua kelas tidak menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan. Dengan demikian, pendekatan Scientific Learning berbasis Problem Based Learning efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa, tetapi pengaruhnya terhadap hasil belajar masih perlu diperkuat melalui penerapan yang lebih berkelanjutan.
