Abstract

Telang leaf (Clitoria ternatea L.) is one of the plants that is often used as a traditional medicine by the people of Indonesia to cure infections which is used by attaching it to the sore, wound or swollen part. The purpose of this study was to determine the antibacterial bioactivity of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol extracts of telang leaf against Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria and to determine the content of secondary metabolites in the extracts of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol qualitatively by phytochemical screening and thin layer chromatography. The method used in this study is the antibacterial method of pitting with a concentration of 40%, 60%, 80%, 100%, phytochemical screening, and thin layer chromatography with specific spot appearance. The best potential antibacterial bioactivity between n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol extract of telang leaf (Clitoria Ternatea L.) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the methanol extract of telang leaf (60%) which has an inhibition zone of 18.57 mm, strong category and based on supporting data. qualitatively by phytochemical screening containing secondary metabolites, namely flavonoids, saponins, tannins, quinones, polyphenols and triterpenoids/steroids as well as TLC results with the appearance of specific Liebermen burchard (LB) spots that are positive blue-black in color, suspected as an antibacterial of the triterpenoid/steroid secondary metabolite group.

Abstract

Purslane (Portulaca Oleracea L.) is a plant that contains natural antioxidants. Purslane has the highest concentration of omega-3 fatty acids, which is 30,000 ppm. Cosmetic serum is a skin treatment with a high concentration of active ingredients in its formula to provide intensive nutrition to the skin layers. Serum itself can be processed using two bases, namely water and oil bases. The purpose of this study was to determine the 96% purslane (P. Oleracea L.) Ethanol Extract could be formulated into a facial serum preparation and continued with evaluation of the physical stability of the purslane extract (P. Oleracea L.) facial serum. In this study using the Stability Test Method accelerated with several temperatures, including room temperature (27-29⁰C), temperature under sunlight, oven temperature 40⁰C. The results of testing the stability of serum preparations are organoleptic tests (typically aromatic odor, brownish white in color and in the form of serum gel) organoleptic results are stable, there is no change, homogeneity, pH value of 4.6-6, average value of Viscosity 1940-1998 Cp, and accelerated stability for 3 months. The results of this study obtained purslane serum with three different concentrations, namely 1%, 1.5%, and 2%, in the organoleptic stability test at room temperature, sun and a stable temperature of 40⁰C. However, the pH test and viscosity test stated that the purslane extract serum preparation was unstable in storage at room temperature, sun and 40⁰C due to a decrease in storage time.

Abstract

Inventory control is very important in a company, because the company's physical inventory involves the largest investment in current assets. As well as planning and management of drugs that are not good will cause drug accumulation and drug stock vacancies, ABC (Pareto) analysis is carried out. ABC (Pareto) analysis is an analysis based on the economic value of goods. In this ABC value analysis, it can be identified the types of drugs that require the most costs. The purpose of this study was to determine the use value and investment value of drugs using the ABC method at Teluk Arta Medika Pharmacy. This study uses a non-experimental type of research where the required data is already available without any manipulation process. Data was obtained from data on drug use at the Teluk Arta Medika Pharmacy during January to December 2020 using quantitative data. By using ABC analysis, the results of this study indicate that there are four periods of drug use and investment in one year and each period consists of three months of use as many as 292,416 pcs which are included in group A and have an investment value of Rp. 2,217,463,364. In group B, there are 84,896 pcs of usage with an investment of Rp. 639,566,963 while in group C there are 42,061 pcs of use with an investment of Rp. 318,451,574. Abstract

Dental caries is one of the most common dental health problems and is the main problem of dental and oral disease. the most common cause of dental caries is Streptococcus mutans bacteria. To treat dental caries, one of the plants that can be used is the leaf of kale fence (Ipomoea carnea Jacq, which has antibacterial properties. This study aims to determine the compound content of n-hexane, methanol, ethyl acetate and the antibacterial activity of Streptococcus mutans. This research used well diffusion method and tested against Streptococcus mutans bacteria. Thus, it was found that the compound content of the thick extract of kale leaves contains compounds of steroidal n-hexane, methanol flavonoids, saponins, tannins, triterpenoids, and ethyl acetate alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, tannins and simplicia dried kale leaves contain alkaloids, flavonoids. , steroids, tannins. The results of the activity test of the leaf extract of kale (Ipomoea carnea Jacq) inhibited the growth of Streptococcus mutans bacteria with a concentration of 100% n-hexane inhibition zone 5.2 mm in the weak category, methanol 16.4 mm in the very strong category and ethyl acetate 10.4 mm in the strong category. . Based on the results, it was shown that the leaf of kale (Ipomoea carnea Jacq) had antibacterial activity from Streptococcus mutans bacteria.

Abstract

Due to the increasing number of people experiencing diarrhea every year, it has long been considered one of the most severe public health problems in the world. As a result, diarrhea is a significant cause of death in children under 5 years of age. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia conducted an incident survey, which revealed that 1,637,708 diarrhea patients were treated in health care institutions, or 40.90 percent of the projected number of diarrhea patients. This study aims to determine whether antibiotics are effective in treating diarrhea in children under five at Isykarima Clinic Cikarang when used according to patient characteristics, indications, drug selection, and the right dose. This descriptive study used a cross sectional technique. This study used a descriptive observational research approach, in which prescriptions and test results from medical records (MR) were collected and recorded. By using retrospective data collection method. According to the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the male gender who suffers from diarrhea is 44 toddlers (55%). The rationale for the use of diarrhea drugs in patients under five according to the criteria for the right indication (100%), the right dose (100%), the right patient (100%), and the right drug (100%). The clinic has used antibiotics as indicated. According to usage, the most widely used antibiotic is cotrimoxazole.

Abstract

Ipomoea carnea which is a member of the Convolvulaceae family. Ipomoea carnea is known as a hedge plant and in recent times it is commonly known as a weed. This plant can live in terrestrial areas or near water or puddles. Ipomoea carnea contains chemical compounds, among others, flavonoids, phenols, tannins, saponins, alkaloids, and polyphenols. using a literature review study method that was reviewed based on 25 journals. The results from various studies showed that Ipomoea carnea plant has pharmacological activities such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, anticancer, antifungal, hepatoprotective activity, and immunomodulator.

Abstract

Skin care is needed so that the skin is not dry, rough and dull, one of the cosmetics to overcome skin aging that contains antioxidants is grape seed oil which has a high vitamin E content and is beneficial for skin health. Serum is a preparation with a high concentration of active ingredients and low viscosity that delivers a thin film of the active ingredient on the skin surface. The purpose of this study was to formulate grape seed oil extract (Vitis vinifera) in serum to determine the physical stability stored in three different conditions, namely room temperature 27°C, high temperature 40°C and under sunlight. The method used in this study is experimental laboratory and accelerated stability testing. The results of this study made three formulas in various concentrations of grape seed oil extract, namely 4%, 6%, 8%. The stability of the preparation can be seen based on the results of organoleptic testing, pH, viscosity, and homogeneity. The results of the physical stability test of serum preparations were processed using statistics using the One Way ANOVA method. The conclusion of this study is that grape seed oil extract can be made into facial serum preparations, and the results of this study indicate that the three formulas are more stable at room temperature storage of 27°C, high temperature of 40°C and under sunlight.

Abstract

Aging is a natural process that occurs to every human being and is influenced by various factors from inside and outside the body. Aging can be caused by old age, insufficient nutritional intake, to the presence of free radicals in the skin. Aging can be prevented or slowed down with the use of sufficient, appropriate, and appropriate collagen. Collagen can be obtained naturally, one of which comes from chicken bones. This study uses the Literature Review Article method. By reviewing several articles or literature related to this theme, 5 types of articles, both national and international published in the last 10 years, are used. The literature obtained is an article found using the keywords Chicken bone as collagen source, chicken bone as a source of collagen, chicken bone waste for antiaging, and collagen for antiaging sourced from chicken bones. Based on the exposure, it is known that chicken bones can be an alternative source of collagen to be applied to cosmetics that can prevent or slow down aging of the skin.

Abstract

Duck eggs as a food that is quite perfect contains high nutrients that are easily digested, rich in protein, fat and other substances that the body needs. The protein content in duck eggs is quite high, at 13.1 grams per 100 grams compared to 12.8 grams in chicken eggs. Duck eggs are perishable. One way to overcome this problem is by preservation, namely the dry method (ash and salt). This study aims to determine the effect of salt concentration on the protein content of duck eggs. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach and the type of experimental research using a completely randomized design (CRD) pattern consisting of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (ash concentration 60 grams: salt 0 grams), P1 (ash concentration 60 grams: salt 20 grams), P2 (ash concentration 60 grams: salt 40 grams), P3 (ash concentration 60 grams: salt 60 grams) , and P4 (60 grams of ash concentration: 80 grams of salt). The data of this study were sourced from the results of the protein content and organoleptic quality test of salted eggs. Data collection for protein content was carried out by testing the protein content of duck eggs that had been given salt with different concentrations. The results showed that based on the graph of the highest protein content in the P2 treatment with a mean score of 14.23%, the conclusion of this study showed that different salt concentrations had no effect on the protein content of duck eggs.

Abstract

Cardiovascular disease is a group of diseases of the heart and blood vessels which includes: coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease, peripheral arterial disease, rheumatic heart disease, heart disease congenital heart disease, deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. Drug interactions are one of the factors that affect the body's response to treatment and are considered clinically important if they cause poisoning and/or reduce the effectiveness of the interacting drug resulting in a change in the therapeutic effect. Pharmacies are places for selling and buying licensed drugs, and there must be APA that has obtained a permit, as well as assistant pharmacists who have received SK, and pharmacist assistants who have graduated from a pharmacy degree. Clinical pharmacy services are direct services provided by pharmacists to patients in order to improve therapeutic outcomes and minimize the risk of side effects that may occur. includes assessment and prescription services, drug information services (PIO), home care, drug therapy monitoring (PTO), drug side effects monitoring (MESO), and counseling including for self-medication and recording of drugs used in PMR (patient medication record).
