Abstract

Project control is a structured effort to establish standards in accordance with the plan, design information systems, compare implementation with established standards, analyze potential deviations, and take corrective actions necessary to ensure the effective and efficient use of resources in line with the set targets. Each project has its own specific plan and schedule, determining the start and end time of the project, implementation methods, and resource allocation. Operational challenges often arise in project planning, such as resource shortages, improper allocation, delays, and other issues that may hinder the achievement of project goals as planned. This research utilizes a descriptive quantitative approach, which is a research method that describes the specific conditions of the project through the analysis of available data. This article will discuss the cost variance (CV) and schedule variance (SV) in the development of Griya Jenggala at PT. Sarana Loka Almika, evaluate the cost performance index (CPI) and schedule performance index (SPI) in the development of Griya Jenggala to assess its effectiveness, estimate the cost at completion (EAC) and estimated duration at completion (EAS) required to complete the Griya Jenggala project, as well as provide an estimation of potential profits or losses that may arise in the Griya Jenggala development project.

Abstract

Based on data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, Indonesia is projected to enjoy a demographic bonus in 2045. This condition must be utilized because this is the first time in the history of the Indonesian nation. The demographic bonus that will occur in 2045 should be utilized properly. One is education that supports the younger generation to be more innovative, intelligent, critical-thinking, and skilled. The skills that a student can possess are in the field of accounting. Besides building skills, accounting can also shape the way of critical thinking and add focus and thoroughness to a student. St. Kristoforus 1 High School, as one of the target schools, has several students still interested in accounting. Due to this enthusiasm, Universitas Tarumanagara was there to provide accounting training, and the method chosen was the flipped classroom method. This paper explains the working paper where the general use is to help the process of making financial statements. Each educator will get the learning material first, so there is a difference between the conventional type of learning that usually occurs when exploring the material. This method was chosen because it is suitable to support the understanding of accounting materials and it can explore the material to be discussed more widely. This training is expected to be used by students to open a business in the future or continue their education at a higher level.

Abstract

The sea transportation system that is interconnected and provides value for loading and unloading services at the main port of Tanjung Priuk is already over capacity. The establishment of a dry port in Tangerang Regency is expected to facilitate the flow of export and import goods, streamline logistics costs, and solve the dwelling time problem that occurs. The plan to establish the Tangerang Dry Port requires an analysis of the financial feasibility of the investment. The method used to solve this problem is using the Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Net Present Value (NPV), and Payback Period. This feasibility analysis calculation was carried out during pre-construction and after construction so that these calculations can be used as reference material in every decision-making, especially those related to the finances of Tangerang Dry Port. The feasibility analysis calculation uses 3 (three) scenarios, namely for optimistic conditions the IRR value is 28.8%, for moderate conditions the IRR value is 13.6%, and for pessimistic conditions the IRR value is 7.2%. For optimistic conditions the NPV value is 1,716.7 billion, for moderate conditions the NPV value is 697 billion, for optimistic conditions the NPV value is 255 billion. For optimistic conditions the payback period is 6.87 years, for moderate conditions the payback period is 9.26 years, and for pessimistic conditions the payback period is 11.2 years. From the results above, optimistic, and moderate conditions are the most feasible scenarios for developing the Tangerang Dry Port.

Abstract

Globalization causes changes and provides convenience in trading activities between countries, exports, and imports. This community service program was conducted for a company engaged in the field of iron trading, which deals with imported products from Japan, America, Europe, China, and Taiwan. The main problem faced by this community service partner was the profit uncertainty due to fluctuations in the foreign exchange market. As a way to avoid currency exchange rate uncertainty, companies can hedge. One of the hedging activities carried out by company management in dealing with fluctuations in foreign exchange rates is the alternative use of derivative instruments. The method for implementing the community service activities was in the form of onsite training which was divided into two sessions. In the first session, the community service team gave a lecture on a general overview of hedging. In the second session, the community service team carried out a simulation of calculating the costs of hedging using appropriate tools. This community service program provides results in the form of developing partner's know-how that provides benefits to mitigate risk through hedging capabilities. Based on the simulation results using the hedging cost calculation tool, partners can see that hedging in the money market is more profitable than forward contracts.

Abstract

Leading a choir at official school events is one of the skills that a school teacher should have. School events attended by students or fellow teachers usually begin with singing songs together, such as in national ceremonies or other formal school activities. However, it turns out that not all teachers are confident and capable of being conductors when their role is needed. Teachers at Sekolah Dasar Negeri (SDN) Cicayur 1, a state-owned elementary school in Cisauk District, Tangerang Regency, have such experience. A community service activity has been carried out for three months, attended by all fifteen teachers at the school, including the principal, to explore and train the skills to become conductors for the teachers. Activity began with the preparation stage, coordinating with the school for smooth implementation. At the implementation stage, activities were carried out using lecture, demonstration, practice, and assignment methods. At the evaluation stage, the assignment result was reviewed from seven videos containing the teacher's performance while leading a song at a formal event as a conductor. The videos show that teachers still need more practice to do better, especially in terms of song expressivity, accuracy of song tempo, stability of song tempo, and tempo matching with music score. If teachers' abilities as conductors can be improved, in the future, it is expected that teachers will be able to teach students how to become professional conductors, and the school can consider organizing extracurricular activities for choirs.

Abstract

Considering that English is not the main language in Indonesia, an effective teaching method at school is crucial to students' ability to speak English fluently. However, in reality, many teachers still depend on conventional teaching methods. Therefore, this teaching assistance aims to facilitate Kasih Bangsa Elementary School students with a method that considers students' overall intelligence adapted from the Multiple Intelligences theory proposed by Howard Gardner, who argues that a person can have more than one intelligence. Furthermore, this teaching assistance is based on the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) method, which focuses on the collaboration between researchers and communities. The program consists of three main processes: an interview with teachers of Kasih Bangsa Elementary School, a workshop on Multiple Intelligences Theory for the teachers, and a teaching demonstration by some of the students of the English Department, Maranatha Christian University. From this teaching assistance, the Multiple Intelligences theory is proven to improve the learning quality and boost students' motivation effectively.
