One of the interventions that can be used to maintain cognitive function in the elderly is by using virtual reality. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explain the effect of virtual reality on cognitive function in elderly people with dementia based on empirical studies in the last five years. Method: the process of searching for journals or articles using a database indexed by Scopus, ProQuest, and Science Direct using adequate keywords. The framework used for the review was PICOS and the inclusion criteria used were English-language journals with issues from 2015 to 2020. Data analysis and tabulation were carried out in articles or journals. Title, abstract, full text, and methodology are assessed to determine the eligibility of the article or journal. Results: 758's articles were identified, ten articles fit the research criteria. Virtual reality affects cognitive function where it can improve memory, attention, executive function and can increase the overall scale of the MoCA. The advantage over the use of virtual reality for the elderly with dementia is that it not only improves cognitive but also improves motor coordination, reduces behavioral and psychological symptoms, and can be used to detect cognitive impairments early. Conclusion: In carrying out cognitive rehabilitation programs in the elderly can use technology-based interventions by using virtual reality.

Introduction: In the human life cycle there is growth and development either physically and mentally. In the elderly phase there are both physical and mental changes due to the degenerative process, leading to limitation in having physical activities, remembering things and speaking. This limitation affects social interaction with others which tends to decline and become passive. Decreasing social interaction of the elderly can cause the feeling of isolation, being useless and lead them to seclusion, because there is no emotional channeling through socializing. The purpose of this study was to identify the association between mental status and Social Interaction Capacity among the elderly at Sukodadi Community Health Center, Lamongan District. Methods: This quantitative study used correlational study and cross sectional design. Data were obtained from Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire and social interaction capacity questionnaire. Samples consisted of 47 respondents, taken with consecutive sampling technique. Data analysis used Spearman test. Results: The majority of respondents (44,7%) had medium intellectual damage and the majority (51,1%) had medium social interaction capacity. The result of Spearman rho test showed p=0,024 and r=0,328 which meant that there was association between mental status and social interaction capacity at medium strength and positive correlation direction. Conclusion: There was association between mental status and social interaction capacity of the elderly at Sukodadi Community Health Center, Lamongan District.

Introduction: Bronchial asthma is a disease that occurs frequently in Indonesia and is reversible and can cause death. The problem that is felt is bouts of shortness of breath when a recurrence occurs. Stress is one of the causes of recurrence. So a positive coping mechanism is needed to prevent relapse. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the coping mechanisms used and the frequency of recurrence in bronchial asthma patients at M. Noer Pamekasan Hospital, 2018. Methods: This research design uses Non-Experimental Analytic Correlation method with a sample of 39 people and uses Probability Simple Random Sampling technique. The research data were taken using a questionnaire. After the tabulation, the data were analyzed using the Rank Spearman test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The results showed that almost half (45.7% or 16 people) had maladaptive coping mechanisms and relapses> 5X / month, and a small proportion (11.4% or 4 people) had adaptive coping mechanisms and relapsed 1-4X / month. From the results of statistical testing, it was found that there was a correlation between coping mechanisms and the frequency of recurrence with a correlation coefficient of 0.430 with a significance level of 0.010. Conclusion: We know that the coping mechanism is closely related to the occurrence of stress and anxiety in a person. Meanwhile, anxiety is one of the causes of recurrence in bronchial asthma patients. So in providing nursing care, you should not forget about health education about coping mechanisms so that patients can manage the stress experienced so that recurrence of bronchial asthma can be avoided.

Introduction: Phlebitis is inflammation of the veins caused by chemical irritations of additives and drugs that are given intravenously. Phlebitis is characterized by the presence of a red and warm area around the area of stabbing or along the vein. This study aims to determine the effect of disinfection (alcohol swab) on intravenous bolus injection with phlebitis. Methods: The research design used in this study is pre-experiment (Static Group Comparison). In this study the population was all patients who received intravenous bolus therapy. The sample in this study were some patients who received intravenous bolus therapy who met the inclusion criteria. Sampling in this study was simple random sampling with a total sample of 52 respondents. Results: From the Chi Square Test x2 = 17,333 and p = 0,00 because p <0. (0,00 <0,05) then H0 is rejected which means there is an influence of disinfection of alcohol swab during intravenous bolus injection with phlebitis occurrence. The number of respondents in the control group who did not / without using alcohol swab almost all respondents had phlebitis (84.6%) and only a small number did not occur phlebitis (15.3%) while respondents who were given alcohol swab during injection via intravenous bolus almost all phlebitis did not occur (92.3%) and a small proportion occurred phlebitis (7.6%). Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, can be concluded that there is an influence of alcohol swab during intravenous injection with the occurrence of plebebitis. The effort that can be done to prevent phlebitis is aseptic technique in the area of insertion and disinfection that is strong in medical devices, observation of signs and symptoms of phlebitis, infusion catheter must be replaced if it is installed > 27 hours.
