Abstract

Companies in the marketing activities of products, usually can not escape from competition with similar enterprises. One step that can be set so that the company is able to win the competition is to increase promotions to increase sales on a product. Buying behavior one can say something that is unique, because the preferences and attitudes towards the object of every person is different. In addition consumers are from several segments, so that what people want and need is different. Still there are many factors that influence purchasing decisions. This study aims to influence the quality of product, advertising, and after-sales service of the product purchase decision on Yamaha Mio motorcycle community Surabaya. The population in this study is the owner of Mio Yamaha motorcycle in Surabaya sampling technique in this study are non-probability sampling using purposive sampling method is to choose the respondents selected by the researcher based on the characteristics or properties of the previously known population. Analytical techniques used in this study is the multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the obtained results that affect the quality of the product purchase decisions, promotion decisions influence the purchase, after-sales service affects purchasing decisions, and quality of product, advertising, and after-sales service simultaneously significantly influence purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This aim of the research is to test whether the decreasing productivity of the workers results in decreasing of the nominal wage of the production worker under the supervisor. Statistical data of BPS was used in this research. The research data is consist of the nominal base and over time wage of the production worker under the supervisor, productivity of workers, and capital intensity. Furthermore, this research used regression analysis with OLS estimation method. This regression analysis was based on the dynamic panel data model. Finally, this study used redundant coefficient test to reduce several insignificant regression parameters in order to get a parsimony model. The results of the research as follow: (1). the decreasing productivity of the workers does not result in decreasing the nominal base wages of the production workers under the supervisor. (2). the decreasing productivity of the workers results in decreasing of the over time wages of the production workers under the supervisor.

Abstract

Excess supply of labor leads to low the levels of nominal wages received by workers. The amount of minimum wage rate exceeds the market wage rate. The determination of minimum wage is a factor manifested in the institutional and regulatory Provincial Minimum Wage or a District Minimum Wage. Unfortunately, it has made nominal wages  difficult to drop below the minimum wage level. High or low level of nominal wages are associated with worker productivity. Further, nominal wages are rigid to go down. If they have increased, they can not be dropped in the future even though the companys performance is declined. Knowing that condition, in designing the remuneration system, an employer should pay attention to the rigidity of nominal wages, so that when  companys performance declines, the company will not be interfered because of the wages burden.  Furthermore, unions and government should consider the rigidity impact of nominal wages that go down. Thus, when macroeconomic conditions deteriorate and companys performance drops, the company will not go bankrupt due to high labor costs. If the company goes bankrupt, the workers will loose their jobs as a result of employment termination, while the government will face the unemployment problem.

Abstract

In line with trade liberalization, all of trade barrier such as tariff and non-tariff barrier would be reduced. Indonesia would go into a free trade era. The objective of research is to investigate short and long run effect of trade liberalization on employment and wages of labor-intensive industries.By regressing based on panel data, the results show that trade liberalization via tariff reducing would raise the employment and wage of labor intensive industries in the short and long run. Tariff reduction increases demand for the economys abundant factor (labor), driving wages higher. In the long run, capital is mobile between sectors, generates the higher of capital. The higher of capital implies of an increasing marginal product of labor, driving wages higher.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the downward nominal wage rigidity and the difference in degree of downward nominal wage rigidity between the economy with unemployment benefits and the economy without unemploymentbenefit. An experimental method in the form of nominal wage bargaining between employees and employers was aplied in this study. The subject of the experiment are the alumni of UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta who havework experience at least 1 year. Panel data regression and t- test was employed to make conclusions from the experiment. Results show that there is evidence of downward nominal wage rigidity. Nominal wages in theeconomy with unemployment benefits was proved to be more rigid to decrease than the nominal wages in the economy without unemployment benefit.

Abstract

Purpose of this research to knows the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio, Non Performing Loan, Loan To Deposit Ratio, Return On Asset, BOPO And Total Asset Turnover to earnings changes. The population in this study is bank listed on the stock exchange the period of 2011-2013 with samples taken by purposive sampling as many as 31 banks. Data collection techniques used documentation. Data were analyzed used multiple linear regression analysis and, coefficient determination test, F test and t test. The results showed that Capital Adequacy Ratio has positive and significant effect to earnings changes. Non Performing Loan has negative and significant effect to earnings changes. Loan to Deposit Ratio has significant negative effect to earnings changes. Return On Assets has positive effect but not significant to earnings changes. BOPO has negative and significant effect to earnings changes. Total Assets Turnover has positive effect but not significant to earnings changes. The coefficient of determination are 0,494 means that influence of variable CAR, NPL, LDR, ROA, BOPO and TATO to earnings change amounted to 49,4 percent, while the remaining 50,6 percent is influenced by other variables not studied, for example, is the rate inflation, interest rate and current ratio. Abstract

The paper examines whether labour productivity converges or diverges. This research estimates the convergence of labour productivity, and the effects of infrastructure to support this convergence, based on a set panel data comprising 18 districts in Gunungkidul Regency from 2009 to 2016. The secondary data published by the Statistics of DIY is used in this study. The infrastructure includes educational facilities, health facilities and length of the road. A fixed-effect model presents that there is a process of convergence of labour productivity among districts in Gunungkidul Regency. Moreover, the result shows that infrastructure has a positive effect on labour productivity. This research finds that labour productivity, in the lagging districts, tends to grow faster than advanced ones. Thus, the labour productivity gap between districts will disappear. A better educational and health facilities supports the speed of the knowledge transfer process to generate productive labour. For supporting the convergence of labour productivity, the local government has to improve infrastructure especially in lagging districts. Likewise, improvements in road facilities solve the problem of high-cost distribution to increase labour productivity.

Abstract

Penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik merupakan upaya Negara untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dasar dan hak-hak sipil setiap warga Negara atas barang, jasa, dan pelayanan administrasi yang disediakan oleh penyelenggara pelayanan publik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kualitas pelayanan publik pada kantor Camat Tabir Ulu Kabupaten Merangin. Metode Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data penelitian dengan observasi, wawancara dan telaah dokumen dengan informan berjumlah tujuh orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan publik pada Kantor Camat Tabir Ulu belum terlaksana dengan baik secara keseluruhan, dilihat dari lima dimensi kualitas pelayanan publik yaitu berwujud, kehandalan, ketanggapan, jaminan, dan empati. Berwujud, ruang tunggu yang belum dilengkapi dengan pendingin ruangan seperti AC, sehingga masyarakat belum merasa nyaman diruang tunggu. Kehandalan, kecepatan pegawai dalam pengurusan administrasi sudah tergolong baik, terlihat dari kemampun dan keahlian dalam penggunaan teknologi yang ada di kantor sebagai alat bantu dalam proses melayani masyarakat. Ketanggapan, dalam melayani masyarakat belum dapat dirasakan sepenuhnya oleh masyarakat, karena petugas dalam melakukan pelayanan belum sesuai dengan waktu yang tepat dan masih ada beberapa keluhan masyarakat yang belum dapat direspon dengan cepat. Jaminan, masih ditemukan pelayanan yang belum terjamin selesai dengan waktu yang telah ditentukan. Empati, masih ditemukan perlakuan istimewa kepada masyarakat yang ada hubungan kekerabatan.
