Abstract

Islamic boarding schools in East Java are generally crowded, with students living in one dormitory with limited facilities. Growth and development health issues in pesantren students are also an important concern, given the living conditions in pesantren that can affect the physical and mental development of santri. One problem that often occurs is stunting or stunted growth due to lack of adequate nutritional intake during childhood and adolescence. The methods used in this community service activity are lectures and physical examinations. The measuring instrument used is a multiplechoice type closedended questionnaire. Respondents were asked to fill out a questionnaire before counseling (pre-test) and after counseling (post-test). Then the data was analyzed using the average and delta calculation method with the results of the pretest average of 72.60 and postest of 87.23. In addition, the results of the health examination consisted of visus examination, height, weight, and other health examinations. In general, the results of the examination of participants showed that a small proportion experienced health problems, so it is hoped that the pesantren will further improve health services and facilities in the pesantren environment

Deviations in hypertension control are the result of a lack of knowledge in attitude. In addition, self-efficacy for preventive abilities plays an important role in controlling hypertension. The purpose of this study was to determine the self-efficacy of preventing complications in hypertensive patients with secondary and tertiary education levels in the Gunung Sekar sub-district, Sampang district. Methods: The design of this study is descriptive cross sectional. The population and sample are all hypertension sufferers with secondary and tertiary education levels as many as 35 people with total sampling technique. Data collection in this study used a closed ended-likert scale questionnaire with a total of 5 questions and then data processing was carried out in the form of editing, scoring, coding, tabulating and interpreting the results were presented in table form and descriptive analysis. Results: Most of the hypertension sufferers with secondary education level had high self-efficacy as many as 11 respondents (65%) and almost all respondents with hypertension with higher education level also had high self-efficacy as many as 17 respondents (94%). Conclusion: Patients with hypertension with secondary and higher education levels in the Gunung Sekar sub-district, Samapang district have high self-efficacy. Abstract

Introduction: Bronchial asthma is a disease that occurs frequently in Indonesia and is reversible and can cause death. The problem that is felt is bouts of shortness of breath when a recurrence occurs. Stress is one of the causes of recurrence. So a positive coping mechanism is needed to prevent relapse. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between the coping mechanisms used and the frequency of recurrence in bronchial asthma patients at M. Noer Pamekasan Hospital, 2018. Methods: This research design uses Non-Experimental Analytic Correlation method with a sample of 39 people and uses Probability Simple Random Sampling technique. The research data were taken using a questionnaire. After the tabulation, the data were analyzed using the Rank Spearman test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The results showed that almost half (45.7% or 16 people) had maladaptive coping mechanisms and relapses> 5X / month, and a small proportion (11.4% or 4 people) had adaptive coping mechanisms and relapsed 1-4X / month. From the results of statistical testing, it was found that there was a correlation between coping mechanisms and the frequency of recurrence with a correlation coefficient of 0.430 with a significance level of 0.010. Conclusion: We know that the coping mechanism is closely related to the occurrence of stress and anxiety in a person. Meanwhile, anxiety is one of the causes of recurrence in bronchial asthma patients. So in providing nursing care, you should not forget about health education about coping mechanisms so that patients can manage the stress experienced so that recurrence of bronchial asthma can be avoided.
